Why was my thread deleted?

Hey there.
A few days back, I started a thread titled "FedEx - experiences" to see if anyone had any intel on them or just wanted to ask a couple of things.
But fast forward to today, and my thread has totally vanished.
So, I’m guessing some mod decided to scrub it. 😁

The thing is, I didn't get a single PM or even a vague hint as to why it was nuked.
Honestly, I don't see the issue. I posted it in the right section (Jobs & Careers), and I definitely wasn't breaking any rules.

Look, if it isn't too much trouble, I'd love for someone to just tell me what went wrong—that way I don't keep making the same mistake if I decide to post something else later.

Because the admin decided it wasn't presented well enough, wouldn't spark any decent discussion, was irrelevant, just plain stupid, or broke some other rule in the forum or sub-forum guidelines.

Honestly, I don't see how my post fits into any of those categories.
The only thing is that it might not trigger a massive debate—but that’s not really what the post was even aiming for.

So, if that's out, the only thing left is the idea that the admin just thought my topic was stupid—which isn't much of an explanation, really.🙂

Yeah, I've noticed that too. They just go ahead and delete threads without saying a single word. Honestly, it feels a bit provocative, and it’s starting to get on my nerves...
Why not just let us know? If someone is going to wipe a thread, they should at least provide a reason or explain why it was removed.

So, nobody’s got an answer?
Or is the person who nuked my last thread just refusing to give me a straight explanation?

Can I just start a new one? Same topic, different thread.

Look, I don't remember the exact wording since it's gone, but it was something like this:

I stumbled onto the FedEx service page and I dig what they do.
Didn't realize a setup like that even existed in the US.
Anyway, I read somewhere a while back that they hire people for the summer.
I've got the drive, I've got a bike, and I'd love to do it, but I can't find any actual info online.
I sent them an email asking about it, but total radio silence.
Plus, I can't find a physical address anywhere—so I can't just drop by and ask in person (which would be my preference).

So I'm wondering (if anyone here has dealt with this company before):
1) Does anyone know if they actually hire for the summer?
2) Do I ride my own bike or do they provide one?
3) What's the pay like (not that it's my main priority)?

The thread was in the right subforum, so I have no clue why it got wiped.
Honestly, I'd still be pretty happy if the mod responsible (was it Blue Cross Blue Shield or Jack?) would just tell me what I did wrong. 🙂

You framed the whole thing as if it were a job posting, but looking at that link, there isn’t a single mention of employment anywhere on the page.

That link is basically just a blatant advertisement for their service—though, I suppose, you probably didn't mean to make it look that way—because there’s absolutely no indication that they're actually hiring anyone on demand.

I suspect that's where the misunderstanding lies... 😁

But honestly, I’m kind of lost on how I'm even supposed to dig deeper into this stuff... 🤷

There are two different numbers listed on those pages... don't you have a phone to just give them a call?

I’ve got one (just picked it up 😛), but honestly, I feel a lot better about just heading down there and talking to someone face-to-face.
It feels super awkward asking about a job over the phone.
That said, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actually worked there or is currently on the grind.
