I honestly feel like discussions about cycling shouldn't be lumped in with things like "demographics of Mexico," "men's rights," "are Americans a crazy nation," "asparagus shortages," or "industrial hemp cultivation" and all those other distractions.

At the end of the day, even the Pelješac Bridge wasn't just some niche issue handled by a political advisor; it was front and center on the main policy agenda.

In my view, mixing these topics sends an unintentional message—that the struggles facing cyclists aren't actually a pressing or vital political issue for Washington, D.C. (or even for the rest of the country).
