Windows 7 installation issues: wireless keyboard and mouse not working

So, my wireless mouse and keyboard are totally dead during the initial Windows startup—you know, that part where you actually have to type in your profile info. Everything works perfectly fine in the BIOS, though. I just got this new motherboard, an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F, and none of the USB ports are picking up the wireless receivers. I've tried messing around with the BIOS settings, but no luck there either. It looks like the system is treating all the ports as 3.0 even though the drivers aren't installed yet. Does anyone have a fix for this that doesn't involve me hunting down a wired keyboard? I'm running Windows 7.

Windows 7 just isn't built for modern hardware, man. Just go ahead and install Windows 10 like a normal person. Besides, support for Windows 7 is basically hitting the wall in a few months anyway.
The thing is, Windows 7 was designed way before these new chipsets even existed. You'd be stuck hunting down every single driver for that motherboard, assuming Gigabyte even bothered to make them for Windows 7 in the first place.

Here’s my deal: I have to get Windows 7 up and running first, then I'll move over to Windows 10. It's just frustrating—the specs say I should have four USB 3.0 ports and four 2.0 ports, but nope, nothing is working.

Check your BIOS settings—is there an option for "Legacy USB" or something similar?

Tried everything—nothing worked. Ended up just biting the bullet and using a wired mouse and keyboard.
