So, I’ve become incredibly sensitive to the cold this year—which is a complete departure from my usual self, as I've never been one to shiver quite like this—and honestly, I just feel perpetually chilled. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I'm sleeping ten hours a day and yet somehow still feel utterly exhausted... it's a bit of a fog. Perhaps someone here has navigated something similar and might have a suggestion for a way out? Because right now, it feels like being in a constant state of lethargy, and frankly, the low mood that follows is becoming quite heavy to carry. Just to be clear—though things feel difficult—I would never dream of harming myself. Does anyone have any insight?🙂

Check your thyroid levels... that’s one way hypothyroidism can show up.

Fair enough, but there is one tiny little complication—I don't currently have Health insurance, and honestly, I have no clue when I will be covered again. 😢 Since I am technically an out-of-state student, I am wondering if there is any way to access medical care locally—you know, what we would call "home" treatment. I also heard somewhere—or maybe just read it online—that there is a medication called Thyroxine. Is that available here in the States? If it is, could someone please give me the exact name so I can go grab it right away? :S It is just so strange, because I have never had any issues with my thyroid before.

You can't just take medicine based on guesswork—the thyroid isn't something to mess around with—an incorrect dosage could easily cause far more trouble than whatever you're dealing with now😲

Jerry Adams81, you seriously need health insurance just to be able to attend school or even if you aren't working. You should head straight to the Health insurance office and get it sorted out right away; they actually have special provisions for situations like yours. Nobody can afford to be without coverage. It honestly only takes a few minutes—just fill out the form, bring your ID, and a document proving you're a full-time student. Once you get a copy of that form, it basically acts as your proof of coverage when you visit the doctor.

So, I’ve finally pieced together what was actually going on... I started my period today, which explains why I’ve been feeling so incredibly chilled to the bone
