Hey everyone, I’m running into a bit of a headache with one of my mobile printers. It’s used specifically for printing sales receipts. About a week ago, I ordered three new units and hooked them up to our registers—basically laptops running our POS software. Everything was working perfectly during the trade show, but out of nowhere, they started acting up. The issue is that the receipts aren't finishing the full print job. For example, it'll spit out the receipt but cut off right where the tax ID and transaction numbers should be. The internet connection is fine, and according to the system, the transaction is fully registered and cleared with the IRS because I can see the digital confirmation on my end. But physically, the paper just stops printing halfway through the important stuff. I tried checking the printer settings in the app and compared them to a unit that’s still working fine, but everything looks identical. I even reached out to the software support team, but they weren't much help and basically brushed me off. Then some guy mentioned that the print head might be acting wonky. To test it, I swapped the problematic printers with the ones that were working correctly, and boom—they work perfectly now, printing the whole thing including the tax info. Since we really need these units for our current operations, I’d rather not deal with the hassle of sending them back under warranty if I don't have to. Should I try cleaning the print head with some isopropyl alcohol or something? I've been Googling, but I can't find anything quite like this. Any advice would be huge!🙏
