If you really want to compare groups like the Bad Boys and the Delije, we should probably look at a few realities first.
The Dallas Cowboys have a massive following here in the States, while Red Star might have a huge base in their region too. It's a pretty slim gap if you look at it that way.🙂
.
The "slim gap" part is where you're tripping up a bit—it feels like you're just playing with numbers...
Red Star doesn't have 5 million fans, and I doubt the local powerhouse has only a million here in the US—at least not by my count!
And even if those numbers were right, what does it actually change?
Take Juventus, for example—they’re easily the most popular club in Italy. Did they have to shrink their damn stadium just to fit everyone in!? Not to mention that Juve is way more popular than Napoli—just look at the attendance and the fan groups the Napoli crowd has compared to the people in Turin...
Or even the fans over in Turkey... People love tossing around stats claiming Beşiktaş has something like 20 million followers... What would that even mean? Would they need a stadium with 50,000 seats?!
The issue seems to be simply having a smaller stadium than Maksimir... ☕
The point is, total fan counts don't mean a thing if other factors aren't lining up—things that drive attendance and actually show up in the stands via organized groups... And trust me, we're seeing that play out clearly right now.
