The papers are saying 7,400 was there. Attendance felt solid... honestly, given how we played, I'd expect those numbers to climb. But hey, whatever. We're stuck playing away games now anyway...

It won't happen. It's just that typical "small-town mentality." Just look back a few years when the stadium was renovated and everyone rushed out to see it. This year will be the same—people will show up for two or three games, then everyone will go back to their own business.😉

I'm actually worried it might. Honestly, this squad is better than the legendary era with those big stars from back in the day, and they're playing great football right now. It's pretty obvious people care way more about watching a good game than who's running the front office or why the Bad Boys are banned from the stands!

Not gonna happen. During the boycott, right after they beat Villarreal CF, Dinamo played Chicago at Maksimir Stadium. Entry was free back then, so you saw maybe 10,000 to 12,000 people show up. But once Dinamo started struggling in the UEFA Europa League, the next Prva HNL match at Maksimir Stadium saw only about 2,000 or 3,000 fans... and from there, it just kept sliding downhill 😉
So, yeah, I’m expecting maybe 1,000 people at the stadium over the next two rounds, tops.

If they actually decide to roll those ticket prices back down to what they used to be, you’d see maybe 1,000 people showing up at most. And honestly, once the winter chill really sets in...

Everything has become so incredibly distorted lately—is it actually our goal for the average attendance to plummet to just a thousand people? If we had actually shown up yesterday, we would’ve seen a decent crowd of maybe 9,000 for the opening round.

There is little point in exhausting yourselves over the casual fans. They are merely background noise, content to drift along regardless of what happens. Keep fighting.

So yeah, I’m expecting maybe 1,000 people max at the stadium in two weeks.
There definitely wasn't 7,500 people yesterday like someone claimed in that Gent thread:
Maybe 3,500 tops
That win against Villarreal CF? Sure, the following game against Chicago in the Prva HNL probably pulled 10-12k. But then comes the loss to PAOK FC, and the first home game against Istria—where they were doing "buy one get one free" deals on tickets—and you had maybe 2,000 people.
Don't worry, once the first European loss hits and the early fall vibes kick in, attendance is crashing back down to triple digits.

What does attendance matter if there isn't an actual crowd making noise? 🤷
Look at this. There are more people here, but it feels like sitting in a doctor's waiting room... you have to whisper just so you don't bother the stranger next to you.
🤷 🤣

Wouldn't it be great if people actually showed up to home games and just cheered from the parking lot or down by the West stand? Isn't that how things used to be back in the 90s? Remember that massive derby when everyone was gathered right outside Maksimir Stadium? While playing from a parking lot isn't exactly a permanent fix, it would certainly send a message that the Boys are still very much present... and honestly, there's no way they can effectively stop that.

There were maybe 3,000 people there yesterday at most. Once the weather turns nasty, we’re gonna see a massive turnout.
It honestly breaks my heart seeing those kids who would've been out there tearing their lungs out yesterday—but hey, it is what it is. That's just how the group decided to handle things.
The West stands still behind Mamić, ninety percent of them.
Look, Dinamo actually plays some beautiful football right now, but honestly? I couldn't care less about that.

We don't owe anyone a damn thing. We can show up or stay home whenever we feel like it. We aren't beholden to anyone, least of all some imaginary fanbase or the crooked, hateful public and those vultures in the media.

What kind of settlement are we even talking about here? Especially when it comes to that slow-moving turtle. I just wouldn't want him thinking he actually won anything just by putting together those lists of his... that's just my two cents, anyway.

Macko and the soccer player 😁
Jesse Campbell, give us your take on this interview
I was there a year before, not during that match.
But I'm sure someone else was there.

"Look, when Hajduk Split comes to Maksimir, even if it's just for the Super Cup, you can expect a crowd. That’s what happened; about 13,000 football fans made the pilgrimage to Maksimir for the first Europa League match of the season. But seeing over seven thousand people show up for Dinamo vs. Osijek—that’s actually a decent surprise regarding the relationship between Dinamo and its supporters. Are The Blues' fans truly returning to Maksimir? Will we see that same energy we saw during Jurčić's matches against Hajduk Split and Osijek? It's too early to tell. Only time will reveal if the crowds are sticking around at Maksimir Stadium. For now, all we have is a bit of optimism that Dinamo's fans are finally coming home where they belong."

Can't argue with that. A true fan right there.☕
