Specifically, I’m looking to order a massive mountain of them—I know, probably won't happen—or something else entirely... just nothing themed around St. Patrick, because that doesn't mean anything to me...

As far as I know, IRA Commerce does rent out candelabras.🙂

Check out Mediterranean Sweets over at the marina... the guy is legendary throughout California and beyond for crafting all kinds of wild brittle masterpieces. He actually made us a sailboat once based on a sketch we drew... just do a quick search, people talk about his work constantly.

Hey everyone, quick question—does anyone have any solid recommendations for a band out of the San Francisco area? I’m trying to book some live music for a party, and the crowd is going to be mostly young people. I need a group that can play pretty much anything and actually knows how to get a room hyped up. Any leads? Thanks in advance!

I attended a wedding where an Uber band played. They covered everything under the sun. Great atmosphere. Total chaos in the best way.

Ladies, I’m getting married on September 29th! Does anyone have any suggestions for hair and makeup?
Has anyone here actually used Vivien & Lorena before?

I could actually use some advice here too... 🙂
My wedding is December 1st!😍
My maid of honor used Vivienne Lorena, but that was seven years ago and I haven't heard anything since... we're in the same boat...😛

Well, I don't think an Uber band plays just anything... They mostly stick to rock and pop, and they definitely don't touch country or that kind of stuff... 😉 If someone were looking for that specific type of music, I suppose I’d suggest they look for a group like The Barbers, or maybe something similar if they want that general party atmosphere... ☕

Can anyone recommend a decent wedding lighting company in the San Francisco area? Also, has anyone here actually used special effects or custom lighting setups before?🙂

Yeah, looking back, you're right. When I say "everything," I'm thinking more along the lines of Taylor Swift or Rolling Stone. Country music just isn't in my wheelhouse. 😁

Whatever. Still a great band. 👍

Some bands actually come with their own custom lighting rigs included in the booking fee, so if you’re looking to hire a group for an event, why wouldn't you just ask them straight up if they bring their own gear?

I’m really not feeling a duo for this. Honestly, a full-on 4 or 5-piece band just feels more natural to me, you know? Miro Boem is already booked up on that date, and I've never been a huge fan of Barbara or that Uber cover band—saw them at a party once and they just weren't my vibe. I did end up chatting with the Volare band, so I’m planning to catch them live to see if they hit the mark. Has anyone here actually seen them perform before? Any intel?

My big day was back on December 1st, 2012, but looking at this thread, it seems I’m definitely not the only one hanging onto those memories😁

What a brilliant choice of date. Is this some kind of joke?...🙂

Even if you aren't leaning toward a duo, you should really check out Matthew and the Dam... Honestly, just go to one of their gigs, the vibe is absolutely incredible, and they’ll play just about anything you ask for. They don't just stick to the same old setlist, either. I’ve been to maybe four or five parties where they were the main act, and I haven't had a single moment of doubt about them. 🙂None of those parties ever wrapped up before 6 AM, either; it’s wild how they can still be playing at 5 in the morning like the night is just getting started.

Does anyone happen to have a cell number or a link to DJ Lete's contact page? I've been digging around trying to track him down, but so far, zero luck.

Thanks in advance.
