Based on all the other comments, I’ve pretty much gathered that there’s just no way they can fit 200 people in there... I really don't want to be squeezed in like a sardine, especially since I won't have any room left to actually dance.
Thanks

Total game changer.

So, where exactly are they located? If you don't mind, could you shoot me a private message with a rough idea of their pricing? Also, I was wondering how far in advance I really need to get those cake orders in to make sure everything is set.

I would be incredibly grateful if someone could shoot me a DM with details on their pricing, their location, and maybe an estimate of how many pastries I'd need for a party of about 160 people
THANKS SO MUCH 🙂

I'm also curious about the bakery and the flower shop... I'm actually thinking about applying at Missa's flower shop, so if anyone has any experience there, let me know! I checked out some photos on Facebook and the vibe looks great.

Could someone please provide some recommendations for where I might purchase floating candles in the Los Angeles area at a reasonable price?
I have looked at some online options where the prices seem fair, but the shipping costs are just far too high.
Thank you very much

Color doesn't matter to me, but you'll find the best deals at MBM, Rose Two, or IKEA.

They might even have some at Walmart. Check them out and compare prices before you commit to buying anything.

As for Missa, the girl working there is a bit dull—well, "a bit" might be an understatement... She’s constantly talking about herself and her work, acting like she’s this absolute superstar or something. My godmother used to use her for wedding arrangements, and she sent over pictures of exactly what she wanted: a mix of white, pink, and rosy tones with all sorts of textures—roses, orchids, hydrangeas, wildflowers, you name it... But the florist just handed her a bouquet made entirely of white and pink roses. It wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't at all what my godmother asked for. When you talk to her, she makes all these grand promises, but in the end, she just does whatever she feels like doing. She even told my godmother she’d make me two boutonnieres—one from fresh flowers and one from silk so I could keep it as a keepsake since I'm the maid of honor. In the end, there was no fresh boutonniere at all; I just ended up wearing this cheap little wristlet with three tiny flowers on it. Honestly, the favors we made for the guests looked more expensive than that little thing...
You should probably check out TNT Florals instead. I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. They’re located right below Victa, near that Burger King...

I have to agree.
She does okay work, technically, but she is just so exhausting to deal with. During our consultation, I really got the feeling she was trying to push her own vision onto me, like she was forcing me to accept what *she* thought looked good. Every time I tried to explain what I actually wanted, she’d just start making excuses about why she doesn't do things "that way," blah blah blah. At the end of the day, it’s my big moment, and I feel like—provided it’s actually possible, of course—my wishes should be respected rather than having her tell me how my main head table ought to look.

Hey ladies, which jewelry stores in San Francisco would you recommend for wedding rings?

Look, if you're looking for the best price, vagus is probably your cheapest bet, but honestly, Mjeda has much more beautiful designs... most of those other jewelry stores pretty much carry the exact same stuff anyway. Your best move is to just hit them all up and see what actually catches your eye. If you happened to stop by the wedding expo, you might even be able to snag some discounts that last for up to five months at certain shops.

You can find Mjeda right there in that alleyway leading from Times Square toward Times Square...

Those are definitely the priciest florists in San Francisco
Go check out the runlist over on Solin Street—they have pictures on Facebook if you want to take a look.

1. Does anyone have a ballpark idea of what it costs to rent out a cafe or bar for just a couple of hours to host a small reception?

2. Any recommendations for hair salons that specialize in wedding styles? Also, what’s the typical going rate for a trial run? I think I heard someone mention that some salons offer free trials... if that’s actually true, let me know because I'm interested.😍

3. Where can I find some nice wedding jewelry without getting completely ripped off?

4. Where did you guys order your invitations from? The more I look, the more indecisive I get.😕 Give me some suggestions....

Thanks

I honestly have no idea where people are getting the idea that Pirate's Cove can't host a party for 200... I was actually at an event there with about 250 people recently, and most of the younger crowd had plenty of space to move around and dance. As for the food—it was absolutely fantastic. The owner is top-tier.
It’s probably best if you just head down there and see for yourself, because people do tend to exaggerate things sometimes.🙂

Vagus, definitely. They have the best and most diverse ring selection in the city, plus their prices are the most affordable.

Hey everyone!
I’m trying to get my head around the catering situation, but I haven’t been able to find much info online. I know Arcade does catering and stuff, but honestly, $9 per person feels a bit steep when you’re looking at a massive guest list. Does anyone know a local caterer who would be down to prep plates or appetizers if I just buy all the ingredients myself? I really don't want to drop $1,500–$2,000 on catering alone.
Also, I heard a rumor that you don't actually have to order food for the exact headcount—like, if there are 180 people coming, you just order for 120 and somehow it’s still enough food?
Has anyone actually dealt with this before? Would love to hear your experiences.
