The makeup price is $73 including false lashes, and hairstyles start at $50. It is best to book well in advance; I made my reservation two weeks ahead of time, and my wedding guests are arriving in September 2013. I hope this information proves useful to you.🙂

Ladies, I have a quick question for you. Where can I find plain, glossy, pearlescent paper for invitations, and who’s got the best prices? I tried searching through the threads here, but there are way too many pages to sift through without losing my mind. 🙂

I’ve already noted down the golden hand and Hobby Lobby. I’ve picked up a few things from them before, but they tend to be a bit pricey, so if I can't find anything better, I guess I'll just pinch pennies there. I don't need pre-made invitations—just the paper so I can cut it to size myself.

edit: I forgot to mention, I'm looking in Indianapolis. 🙂

Hey there! Does anyone here have experience with or know someone who used Studio C from Indianapolis for their wedding photography? Are they any good?

Morning 🙂 hey girls—how much did you end up paying for those cookie boxes? I mean the ones sitting on the table meant for taking treats home... Anyone happen to know who manufactures those plastic ones?

Hey Kimberly Alvarez8, where are you located?
If you're near the Indianapolis area, you can find those containers at BrodPlast. I think they cost about $0.67 per piece, though it depends on the size. I believe that's roughly what you'd pay for the smaller ones.

I'm from a small town outside of Orašje, but honestly, I don't mind making the drive out toward the city. 🙂
Thanks 🙂

Kimberly Barnes75 said:Hey there, I've been doing a bit of digging online, and it looks like you're the only one who actually went ahead and booked a hall down in El Paso. Was it that V&S place? Also, what did the deposit end up costing you in the end? Their website is a total mess and honestly pretty confusing to navigate. Plus, I heard a rumor that their rates are actually a little lower than what they have listed online. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah... they dropped the prices. Plus, if you bring a bigger group, you can score an extra discount on top of that. Everything is negotiable... you want this or that, you talk it out. Mostly, I'm happy! The venue is sorted, Babylon. The photographer? Still struggling with that... and the flowers... those "exclusive" girls totally blew me away! And the price is killer. Sooooo...

Good afternoon, Midwest residents,
I have a question. I am traveling from Appalachia, where there isn't any particular issue with holding a wedding on a weekday. However, my partner is from the Midwest, and I hear it is much more common here to schedule everything for a Friday or Saturday. Is that truly the case? Since most of our wedding guests are coming from outside the US, we should probably try to coordinate the ceremony with a holiday. What are your thoughts on scheduling it for Easter Tuesday?

Do whatever works best for you. 🙂 It’s a holiday, and guests should feel free to come and go as they please, right?

Regarding weddings, I guess it's mostly down to what you agree on, but weekends are usually preferred. It's just easier for most guests to manage with vacations and time off. As for Easter Tuesday—if I recall correctly—I think weddings aren't held in the Catholic Church during the period leading up to or around Easter. You should probably check that with the priest. 😉 If it's important to you to be near a holiday, maybe aim for around the 1st or 5th. That would fall on a Wednesday next year; if the wedding is in 2014, it would be a Friday. Either way, most people could probably combine it with some vacation time. 😉

hey, I used to grab the small ones at the local grocery stores back in Canada for like 2-$1.25 bucks each, depending on how big they were. For wedding favors, I picked some up over in Canada near the border—gotten them for like 10 for a buck there.

Anyone actually tried renting a wedding dress in Canada—specifically near Orašje? Is there even a decent selection, and how does the whole cross-border thing work? Also... prices?

Kimberly Alvarez8, I know I’m a bit late to the party here, but perhaps this might actually be useful—you should check the local bookstore downtown; if I recall correctly, they carry that specific pin. $13 Twenty bucks? Honestly, it’s basically the same thing. $0.67I actually stumbled upon this quite by accident myself—just one of those "right place, right time" moments. But honestly, if you happen to find yourself wandering down that corridor, or if you know someone who does, you should definitely make a move. There’s this massive warehouse section over there dedicated to kitchenware and appliances, and they have a whole selection of plastic goods too. It’s significantly cheaper than anything else around here, so don't sleep on it. 🙂

Hey ladies. I was wondering if anyone here has actually dealt with Iris over in Ivankov, or maybe used that Interior Design Studio out in Memphis?

I haven't personally pulled the trigger on that one, but from what I've heard, it’s an absolute money pit. Plus, you have to usher all your guests outside just to watch a show that lasts, what, three minutes tops? It feels like a lot of hassle for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment.

Honestly, if you really want that "wow" factor, you might be better off putting that cash toward a killer light show—you know, the full production with effects, fog machines, balloons, confetti... stuff that keeps the energy up all night. It might even end up being cheaper in the long run (I think some people mentioned spending closer to $2,000-$1333)

The only exception is if you're having a massive outdoor wedding in the middle of nowhere; then, a firework show would be pretty epic and definitely something most people don't get to see every day.

We did a big firework show and it was stunning. Not sure about the specifics since it was a gift.

Hey everyone, has anyone here actually worked with the Silverado band out of Indianapolis or that Guilty connection group? I haven’t really had the chance to catch them playing at any weddings yet, and we're kind of stuck deciding between those two...
