Those guys are way out of my budget, plus their clothes feel like theyโ€™re made for an older crowd...

U MANI, they have bras with or without underwire, in black or white, all for under $100 (if that works for you, personally I could use an extra 5cm ๐Ÿ˜‚). $28, they're actually pretty decent. I saw the same sizes at C&A, but those were hideous. I don't think they even support something like a 75A quasi-size.

I tried checking out C&A too, but honestly, they didn't have anything that actually fit me right...
So, what about those shoulder straps over at Macy's? Are they flimsy or actually sturdy?
Iโ€™ve got this feeling Iโ€™m gonna be missing at least 5cm of coverage myself. ๐Ÿ˜ Right now, the only size that works for me is at Anita. But man, those prices are insane... totally ridiculous! I already paid double for two of them before. $267 ๐Ÿ™„

Does anyone actually know where I can pick up a t-shirt at Naked Ice, or maybe an XL tunic somewhere...
Sike would look great in them, though sheโ€™d probably just spend the whole time acting high and mighty instead of actually wearing them properly.๐Ÿ˜

Check H&M, honestly that's about the only place left with anything decent.
It feels like there's nowhere left for a "proper" woman to shop!๐Ÿ™‚

(I'm planning to order a few things from Bonprix today, though I'm always a bit iffy on the sizing...)

Thanks, reddtrucker8, I'll take a look...
It is absolutely appalling, and don't even get me started on the cutsโ€”they're a total disaster. You can't find any decent basics anywhere anymore; I finally found something at Takka, but the fit is so aggressive it practically carves itself into your skin.๐Ÿ™‚

And you would pay that for them $28? ๐Ÿคฃ

No, obviously not. I can't shop at Nordstrom because I don't have a job. I have to make do with Kohl's and Target. I just stick to my old old Victoria's Secret bras and try to patch them up whenever I can. ๐Ÿ˜ข.

I won't be any different, honestly. Itโ€™s wild looking at these numbers, especially when you realize that even if weโ€™re just wearing some "standard" size, there are plenty of us out there, maybe even $17, holding our own quite solidly...
Anyway, about pantsโ€”something I finally stumbled upon during this pregnancy is maternity leggings and trousers.
Man, I really wish Iโ€™d looked into this sooner. Basically, if youโ€™ve got a bit of a bump around the waist, they are absolute lifesavers. Take this one pair from Old Navy, for exampleโ€”they're black, and I kind of think of them as my "office slacks." The only difference from regular pants is that they have this stretchy cotton panel sitting just above the belly button.
They are perfect. Like, the bottom part looks totally normal, so nobody can even tell what's going on up top, but the comfort level is just... wow. And most importantly, nothing is digging in, pinching, or spilling over the sides.
Of course, you get all kinds of maternity stylesโ€”some go all the way up to your chest, hahaโ€”but there are definitely lower-rise options too.

Even now that I'm past the pregnancy stage (even though, bless me, the weight actually stayed off!?), I still can't squeeze into my old jeans. Iโ€™m still rocking the maternity gear. ๐Ÿ˜ต

Found them! These are mine (third row, first ones):

edit: hmm, it won't let me post the link directly. Basically, on the left side it says "pants" and then the pictures show up right after, they're there...

Iโ€™m not entirely sure if Iโ€™ve landed in the right corner of the internet, but I could really use some help if anyoneโ€™s available ๐Ÿ™‚

Iโ€™m picking out a gift, and Iโ€™m trying to figure out what size this person actually wears. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know where I can find some nice leather jackets for her? To be clear, I mean faux leather. Ideally somewhere in the $100 range.

I wouldn't recommend buying clothes for someone else unless youโ€™ve done it before. You can really mess this up. You end up spending way too much money, and then things get awkward. Even if you keep the receipt, having them try to exchange something because it doesn't fit is a total headache. Plus, sometimes they don't even have a return policy or a phone number handy, blah, blah...

Her birthday is just a week away... and get this, two weeks ago she mentioned how much she loved my leather jacket, saying she needs to find something similar because her wardrobe is totally lacking for these fall days.
Honestly, she already has everything under the sun, so Iโ€™m completely out of ideas.
Jewelry, vases, flowers, framed prints, gourmet chocolate boxes, accessories... I don't even know where to startโ€”she doesn't need any of that stuff. She needs clothes.
So, I'm thinking a high-quality jacket might be the way to go, regardless of the price tag.

If anyone has some solid advice or suggestions, Iโ€™m all ears.

Take her shopping and let her try it on herself. ๐Ÿ˜

Itโ€™s really tough to nail the perfect fit from afar. If you get something too small or way too big, itโ€™s just going to end up ruining her mood. ๐Ÿ˜

Sheโ€™s definitely not going to let me do that. ๐Ÿ˜
Since sheโ€™s got a steady career and everything, and Iโ€™m just the "struggling college student" type, taking care of my own bills and all that... she won't let me spend more than the price of a candy bar on her. ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ˜
But if itโ€™s a split costโ€”half and halfโ€”thatโ€™ll be much easier to manage... I'm just stuck on the sizing issue.

Honestly, you guys have me second-guessing everything now; I can't even tell if it's supposed to be a jacket ๐Ÿค”

How about an H&M gift card instead? Maybe you can pick out something you actually like. ๐Ÿ˜ (That is, if you happen to be near an H&M. ๐Ÿ˜)

Itโ€™s ๐Ÿ˜ข
definitely a bigger city..
think more along the lines of places like Macy's or Urban Outfitters, C&A, H&M, Takko, Two Way, S.Oliver, or even Banana Republic.....

I have a gift card for C&A. I honestly don't get this: just buy a jacket and hope for the best. You need to think about her. Think about how she'll feel if she hates the style or if it doesn't fit right. Plus, who knows if you'll even find what you have in mind. This way, if you give her a gift card, she can just pay the difference herself.

Alright, thanks everyone... I'll keep looking into it.
Maybe it'll end up being a gift card after all.

Sorry things got a little off-topic here.
Best, ๐Ÿ‘‹

A little more about bras ๐Ÿคฃ - I found size 105 D at the flea market and had plenty of options, so I grabbed three. Price: $12/each. The style is roughly like this:

http://shop.lisca.com/media/catalog/...abina_bra1.jpg

Thick straps, sturdy yet softโ€”though this specific one from Victoria's Secret actually isn't very soft and feels a bit "scratchy." I'm super happy with them, though. Usually, a Victoria's Secret bra like this goes for $60.

They aren't fancy, but now I can save my better ones with the pretty lace for "special" occasions and use these for lounging around the house and everyday wear. They have several styles, all similar to this. I'm talking about the local flea market here, but I bet you can find stuff like this anywhere in the States. That is, if you don't mind buying second-hand goods.
