Grab a test! (For anyone wondering if they're pregnant)

First of all, there is actually a dedicated thread specifically for questions like this one

Secondly, while none of us can definitively tell you if you are pregnant, it is certainly possible to conceive following unprotected intercourse during ovulation—that goes without saying, as you likely already realize😉

Thirdly, it is far too early for a pregnancy test; it won't show anything at all right now (in fact, it will likely give you a negative result even if you are indeed pregnant). Just wait and take one on the 14th if your period doesn't arrive🤷

So here's the deal:🙂 My period is three days late. I can see a very faint line on the pregnancy test, but my husband 😁...I think he sees it too, he's just refusing to get his hopes up prematurely.

I'm thinking maybe it's just too early. We decided to start trying this month, but we didn't actually stop using protection until December 20th. If conception happened right then, it might still be a bit too soon for the test to be definitive... what do you guys think?

If you're three days late and saw a faint line, just try again in two days. The line should be darker by then. 👍

If you see even the slightest faint line, no matter how hard it is to spot, consider the test positive.🙂

Just wanted to give you all an update. My period is two days late, so I took a test today and it came back positive. I am so incredibly happy, I can hardly put it into words.😁🙂🙂

Today, I noticed some yellowish discharge, and throughout the day, it feels as if my body temperature is spiking out of nowhere—it’s almost like a sudden flush hitting my face. On top of that, I've been dealing with these constant, nagging pains in my lower abdomen. I actually took a pregnancy test yesterday, but it came back negative as clear as day, though perhaps it was simply too early for it to register? What do you all think...?

Look, if you're hurting, you'll get it. That’s how I always figured it out. If I felt like crap, my period was coming. If everything felt fine, I was usually pregnant. Just a rule of thumb, I guess.

But hey, we aren't all built the same way. 😉

Thank you so much... I know we aren't all cut from the same cloth, but this longing for a little angel? It’s truly beyond words. I suppose that’s why I find myself hyper-focusing on every single tiny shift in my body... isn't it? But then again, I imagine that’s just how it works for everyone trying to conceive—we end up overanalyzing every little flicker of hope or change, hoping it means our dream of having a baby is finally coming true.

We aren't all cut from the same cloth... I experienced some light spotting and cramping just before my period was due, and it turned out I was pregnant
There is simply no way to know ahead of time
Just wait until you're actually due; if your period hasn't arrived by then, go ahead and take a test
Testing a full week early won't show you anything at all🙂

From what I’ve gathered, it’s quite rare for anyone to experience symptoms that early on🙂

I had those exact same pains right before my period started. It messed me up for three full days. I was 100% certain I was about to get my period... but I was wrong. Just wait a few more days.

So, my period is late—by my math, at least 14 days, maybe even 19. Honestly, I stopped tracking it for a while because last year I was such a nervous wreck about it. I’d spend every single month obsessing over symptoms that weren't even real, just stuff I was totally making up in my own head 😢. But luckily, I remembered when I got it back in February, so I started calculating again. My cycle is usually pretty steady, around 28 to 32 days, though it’s been stretching out a bit lately
.
Anyway, I took a OneStep test this afternoon and... I don't know. I saw a faint, super pale second line—like, barely there. The first line was nice and dark, obviously, but now I'm sitting here wondering if there was even a second line at all, or if I just hallucinated it after staring at the strip for five minutes straight. I don't know 🤷. Just to add to the chaos, I’d already downed four huge cups of coffee (not 😉) along with a ton of juice and water, so my pee was practically clear, almost white. Maybe the timing was just terrible for the test
.
So yeah, just wanted to vent/share with you guys. Part of me wants to bolt to CVS right now to grab another one, but there’s no point. I’ll just wait another 5 or 6 days and try again in the morning. Or maybe my period will just show up in the meantime
.
Oh, one more thing—I have zero symptoms. None. Not even the imaginary ones I used to deal with 🙂. The only thing is, for a few days now—and especially today when I went to the bathroom—I noticed this thick, clearish-white discharge. It doesn't smell, and it isn't heavy. Also, my stomach feels weird today. Not like "cramping before a period" weird, but more like early PMS vibes without the actual pain. Then again, that could also just be my brain playing tricks on me, so I’m not even going to count it
.

😘 Honestly? I’m not holding my breath. Maybe a tiny bit, but seriously, just a tiny bit. It’s such a massive letdown when I check that little window where something should actually be showing up, and there's absolutely nothing there. It makes me wonder if this stuff ever actually works for anyone else, or if I'm just the only one getting ghosted by life 😵

By day two, it had darkened just a tiny bit, though still super pale. Then by day three, it was a little clearer, and after a few more days, it finally matched the test line... now the baby is sleeping right next to me 😍😉

Yeah, sure, but she was talking about day 12 of her cycle. I am sitting here on day 47😂! If I’m pregnant, that line should be huge, like, big enough to drive a truck through🤣. But whatever, she's happy with her result, so good for her😘
