They usually say around three and a half to four monthsβ€”so roughly 14 to 16 weeksβ€”but honestly, I could have guessed mine by week 10😍 because everything was already making its presence knownβ€”and my doctor even joked that there was plenty to see already.🀣

I don't buy into that old wives' tale, but fine... I'll let you know once we find out if it's a boy or a girl.😍

At my 13-week checkup, my doctor thought she knew, but she wouldn't put anything in writing yet. I'm waiting until it's official.πŸ™‚

If the baby is positioned just right, the ultrasound machine is high-end, and you’ve got a top-tier technician on the job... some people can spot the gender as early as week 12.

Seriously... ever since you joined this thread, all you do is nag me about how much you're craving watermelon... and today is especially bad.πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

You know, every single day when I log on, I think... man, I'd kill for a cold slice right now. 😁

I might just order one via FedEx so we can grab a drink somewhere together. 😁

I’ll tell you whatβ€”for as long as I can remember, my heart has always been set on having a girl, but if it turns out to be a boy, I’ll take that blessing without a second thought. To be perfectly honest, I’ve never really spent much time dwelling on the idea of raising a son, nor have I ever bothered to sit down and brainstorm what kind of name I might give him. At the end of the day, all those preferences feel rather trivial when you consider the only thing that truly matters: that the baby arrives healthy, happy, and sound.

Exactly. As long as they are healthy. But then again...
I lean toward a girl, but then I start thinking how great a son would be. It’s a constant loop. 😍

It is still far too early to speculate on what's actually happening under the surface when we're only at thirteen weeks, but then again, life has a way of surprising you.

Actually, it's not. It all depends on the position. My doctor told me the exact same thing when I was 13 weeksβ€”she thought she saw something but wasn't 100% sure yet.

I'm the exact same way; no matter which gender I settle on, I immediately start wondering if the other would have been better... though I eventually told myself it doesn't really matter because I want more kids anyway, so hopefully one will be a boy and one will be a girl, and at the end of the day, I just want them all to be healthy.😍

Deep down, I still harbor a quiet hope for a little girl; she'll be my absolute pride and joy.

It’ll be a sweetheart regardless of whether it’s a boy or a girl... I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a spoiled little brat (if it does, Mom will have to step in and lay down the law 🀣)
Since this will be the first grandchild, it's been quite a while since there was actually a small child running around the house

It'll be the first grandchild on both sides of my family, too. And honestly, I know exactly how that goesβ€”they end up being completely spoiled. I remember being that exact same kind of kid, and my parents had a hell of a time dealing with my antics; really, it was their own fault for leaving me in my grandmother's care so often.πŸ™‚

🀣 Well, I had those same hopes myself, only to end up with a little guy insteadπŸ˜› ... honestly, as long as they arrive healthy and kicking, that's all that mattersβ€”besides, boys usually end up being bigger softies than their moms, and girls tend to take after their dads anyway.😬

Don't let it get to the point where once he grows up, it's just a constant loop of "oh, my little boy," followed by "how could you ever leave your poor mother all alone?"
If I have a son, he’s going to be the most charmingly deceptive character in town πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ My husband might disagree with that outlook, but the little guy and I will have our own understanding.

To goes out to all the moms-to-be, myself includedβ€”if we have a boy, let’s make sure we don't raise him to be a mama's boy who can't make a move without his mother holding his hand!
