Looking for a specialist...

I’m looking for some solid recommendations for a good psychiatrist or psychotherapist. Ideally, someone who runs a private practice. Thanks!

Our specialist finally finished her residency and came back, only to find out her temporary replacements were actually doing a much better job than she was. They had a better bedside manner, too. I think she let a nurse go or maybe she left herself, brought in someone else, and now we're right back to sitting in the waiting room for hours, just like when we used to deal with that doctor over at the Ericsson clinic....

The more I read here, the more I'm convinced we've been hit by the same terrible doctor! 🙈

If you mean the lady over at the Jarun clinic, she was actually out on vacation this past Friday.
They had a substitute covering for her,
and honestly, my husband almost gave the guy a hug when he finally saw him! 🤣 🤣 🤣
In all the chaos, I completely forgot to ask where he usually works when he isn't filling in at the Jarun location.
Also, since she got back, she hasn't entered a single one of my husband's medical records into the system.
My husband has quite the temper—so I usually just listen to his complaints with one ear turned away—
but even my daughter went with him once and told me that the lady was being downright rude.
It’s a bit strange to me, though, because the one time I ever encountered her personally, she seemed perfectly fine.
But I simply refuse to wait around like that. I actually ended up quitting my job at Ericsson just to avoid dealing with situations like this.
It really makes you wonder how both of her male substitutes managed to handle everything so efficiently and quickly.

Can anyone recommend an endocrinologist in Split who takes private patients as well as hospital appointments? My mom needs a checkup for an adrenal tumor, but her scheduled appointment isn't until six months from now.

Maybe try Rebro Hospital, specifically the abdominal surgeons. In the proctology clinic, it seems like there’s a different one every day. It's hard for me to say who the absolute best proctologist is. Perhaps Tihomir Kekez; I think his patients speak very highly of him.

For dermatology, maybe try Manhattan—there are some genuinely great specialists there, and I think patients tend to speak very highly of Dr. Roman Čeović.

As for endocrinology, you might want to look at the Mayo Clinic—specifically Prof. Dr. Darko Kaštelan. Word on the street is he's pretty much the best.
