Does anyone have a recommendation for a good GP somewhere between Central Park and Brooklyn? (I'm over by the midtown area). Just moved into the neighborhood and figured I should probably find someone before I actually need them.

Thanks!

Alright, I need some help here.

Where in Washington, D.C. can I get all my allergy testing done without waiting until the fall?

And what’s the damage, if there's a cost involved? Thanks.

Hey everyone, does anyone have a solid recommendation for a good neurologist in the Chicago area? I’m really looking for someone highly skilled and experienced—someone who actually takes the time to sit down and focus on the patient rather than just rushing through the appointment. Every time I try to search online or dig through patient review sites, I just get hit with a massive wave of conflicting opinions, and honestly, it’s making it impossible to make a decision. Also, when you go to book an appointment, do you even have the option to request a specific doctor, or is it just a "whoever is available" kind of situation? I need a consultation because they've already identified a clear lesion on my epiphysis. Thanks!

Hey there. I urgently need a specialist recommendation here in Washington, D.C. My neighbor is dealing with some serious back issues—she’s already had surgery and has been doing physical therapy, but nothing seems to be working. She saw Dr. Tesić and they tried ozone injections, so I'm curious if anyone has actually dealt with that. Does anyone have a solid specialist they can vouch for? Also, what’s the consensus on Dr. Tesić and Darko Perković? Any info at all helps. Thanks everyone

I’m on the hunt for a primary care physician who actually gives a damn about their patients—someone willing to listen, approachable, and actually competent in medicine. Honestly, I am beyond frustrated with my current doctor; she doesn't even bother looking up from her desk, let alone asking how I'm doing. In the last four months, she hasn't issued me a single referral. I ended up having to navigate everything through private specialists on my own, and if I hadn't, I wouldn't even know I had elevated blood sugar, gallbladder polyps that need periodic ultrasound monitoring, or post-herpetic neuralgia.

Hello,
I am looking for some recommendations regarding orthopedics or a specialist for lower-limb prosthetics.
A close friend of mine has undergone a leg amputation; he is currently in Washington, D.C., though when it comes to finding a truly skilled prosthetist, location isn't really the deciding factor, is it?

Thank you very much.

I’m looking for a solid ophthalmologist or eye specialist up in the San Francisco area to give my eyes a more thorough examination.
For years, I’ve just been heading over to Ghetaldus in Opatija whenever I needed a new pair of glasses, but now I feel like I need someone to take a much more precise look at my prescription and do a deeper checkup on my vision.

Salmoiraghi & Vigano over at the Willis Tower👍 Just give them a call and set something up; they have an absolutely fantastic doctor there.

I am looking for recommendations for a reliable general practitioner in Miami. In my opinion, a good doctor is one who doesn't prescribe antibiotics for every little thing and doesn't claim that every single diagnosis is just caused by stress. Thank you!

In case anyone else runs into this issue, here’s my experience:

I called the clinic on Runjaninov and asked if I needed an appointment and how long the wait would be. The receptionist asked a few questions and told me to just show up with a referral during business hours and wait—no booking required. I arrived an hour after our call. The waiting room was massive, yet there was only one other person there, and they were seen almost immediately. In less than an hour—maybe 40 minutes—I walked out of the clinic with my results in hand. It probably would have been faster if I’d waited until the next day to pick them up, but I had the time, so I stayed.
I'm glad to see there are still places where you can get things done without unnecessary delays. I don't know if it's always this fast, but my advice is to call around to all the clinics that offer these services (you can find the info online), ask about the wait times, and just go to whichever one has the shortest line.

One more thing worth noting: when I called a different clinic over in Siget to try and book an appointment, they told me the wait was over 20 days.

Hi there,

I'm looking for a gynecologist in the Washington, D.C. area who runs a private practice but also accepts Medicare.

Any recommendations?

No matter what I do, I end up with massive muscle inflammation the next day
If I go for an hour-long walk, my legs are trashed for two days straight
If I manage just five pushups, my chest is sore for five days... you get the idea...
My muscles have basically wasted away and I can barely move—plus, I've packed on 25 pounds since this whole thing started
I've already seen a neurologist, an endocrinologist, and an immunologist, and according to them, everything looks perfectly fine
It’s obviously some kind of undiagnosed disease where the main symptom is extreme muscle inflammation, which leads to muscle wasting and weight gain (since I can't actually use my muscles)

Does anyone have a doctor recommendation in the San Francisco area?
