I'm looking to see a breast surgeon. Can anyone recommend a specialist at Mayo Clinic who does great work? I'd want them to perform a reduction—also, how long is the wait for an initial consultation and the actual procedure??

Anyone know a solid orthodontist in Chicago who takes insurance? I guess I need someone decent. My bottom teeth are all crowded, but the real nightmare is my crossbite—you can actually see how messed up my jawline looks because of it.
Also, any idea what the damage would be? I have supplemental coverage, but since I'm an adult, I assume I'm paying most of it myself...

You could try Breyer Labs, or just pay up at the Billings clinic over on Kings Street—I think they have walk-in hours for things like blood work and those liver/kidney panels. Otherwise, you might have to head to the ER or one of those infectious disease clinics.

So, I’ve been on the hunt for a decent dentist lately. Personally, I’m a total wimp when it comes to dental work—going to the dentist has always been my absolute worst nightmare. Since I know plenty of people feel the exact same way, I figured I’d pass along a recommendation for Dr. Motl.
The woman is brilliant. She’s gentle, walks you through everything, actually has patience, and genuinely puts in the effort. It’s a private practice, but looking at her rates, she’s quite affordable compared to others out there. She works with you on the terms.

Bringing this topic back from the dead...

So, look—my guy is dealing with these chronic lower back issues. It’s like some bone or muscle just shifts out of place and pinches a nerve. When it hits, he starts with localized pain right above the hips, but then—boom—it radiates all the way down his leg. He ends up with this literal line of agony stretching from his thigh back up to his spine.

He’s been through the whole ringer—doctors, MRIs, you name it. But honestly? Most doctors just hand him a prescription and call it a day because they say surgery isn't an option for his specific situation.

He actually got lucky once and found a specialist who could actually fix the alignment, but there's a catch: the doc lives in Germany and only swings by Canada once or twice a year. The guy is incredible, truly, but life happens. After the doctor resets his back, my guy can't stay still for ten days—partly because of work and partly because he’s just being reckless—so he never gives the area time to actually "set." Because of that, the whole damn thing relapses two or three times a year.

Long story short, we're back at square one. The doctor won't be back until summer, the pain is absolutely brutal, and those painkillers are basically wrecking his kidneys... so yeah, we're in a bad spot. I'm looking for a legit, tried-and-true chiropractor in Chicago. And please, spare me the scammers or those "miracle workers" who have no business touching a spine—we have plenty of those around here. My own father went to one of those hacks slightly hunched over and walked out doubled over. Not happening.

I need someone who actually knows how to realign the entire spine, release that pinched nerve, and sort out the surrounding mess...
