I’m looking for some recommendations on where I can get custom orthotics made... About six or seven years ago, I had them done at a clinic over in Brooklyn, but they've since closed their doors. I specifically remember they used computer scanning for my feet—the inserts themselves were actually pretty decent.

Thanks so much...

Thanks so much everyone..

It’s on Božidarević Street... a new orthopedic center

thanks😁

Yeah, we go to Tony Beaković. Top-tier expert, super nice older guy. Kids love him, and for us older cowards, his chill approach makes the whole ordeal way easier.

His office is right by the index, just across the street.

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well.

So, I’m looking for a recommendation for a solid dentist over in Brooklyn. My main issue is that my dental records are currently held by my dentist back in the Midwest, so I was wondering how the process works when switching to a new provider? Do I actually need to go pick up my physical files from my old dentist there, or can I just find someone new in the area and let them handle the transfer?

🙂

So, I just switched over to Nada Mihaljčić’s dental practice in Indianapolis! Has anyone here actually been to see her? I heard some wild rumors that she’s super rough and it hurts like crazy, though honestly, I’m a little skeptical about that. If you’ve dealt with her before, please let me know what the deal is! Thanks a bunch!!

Dr. Ljiljana Knezović runs her practice out of the third pavilion at the Flower Settlement student housing complex in Cleveland... she accepts Medicare patients... she truly knows her craft and does an absolutely incredible job... 🙂I would definitely recommend her to anyone... 🙂

To give you an idea of my experience, this past week was a complete nightmare for me—dealing with a broken tooth, various treatments, and some nasty inflammation. I had already consulted two different dentists, both of whom recommended extraction (one of them was from a private practice and was actually quite skilled), but I was terrified. The pain was so intense that even touching the area felt unbearable. However, when I saw her, I actually let her perform the drilling without any anesthesia at all. I promise you, if she tells you it won't hurt, it really won't... 🙂(unlike my previous dentist, where I thought I wouldn't survive the drilling process). She also performed a scaling to remove tartar; while most people find that part excruciating, it was completely painless with her... 🙂On top of that, she managed to spot several other issues that the first two dentists had missed entirely... so, for now... I just want to share my praise... 🙂

URGENT....Okay, I really need some recommendations. The exact location isn't my top priority, though I’d prefer not to be trekking across the entire city since I'm currently based out in the Suburbs. I'm just looking for somewhere with staff who are actually normal, reasonable, polite, and—most importantly—not total jerks.😁
thanks...

If you're a student, apparently there's a whole hoop to jump through. You supposedly grab some paperwork from your current dentist, take it to the doctor assigned to your university to get it signed or whatever, then bring that paper back to the new dentist to finally get enrolled. At least, that's how it was explained to me recently.🤷

Hi everyone, I’ve been scouring the forum for recommendations for a reliable general practitioner in the Suburbs, but I’m having a hard time finding any specific names. It seems like everyone keeps suggesting doctors over in San Jose, which is just way too far for me to travel regularly..
I would be incredibly grateful if someone could point me toward a doctor who actually knows their stuff—someone who won't overlook my health concerns just to save a few bucks on referrals or paperwork..

Hey, I’m looking for some solid recommendations for a private dentist up in Indianapolis.

Honestly, price isn't really my main concern here—I just want someone who actually knows what they're doing and uses modern tech instead of outdated methods.

If you guys have any personal experiences or strong opinions, please let me know 🙂

Thanks in advance for the help! 🙂

Has anyone here actually dealt with Dr. Eškinja over at the Mayo Clinic?

Can I book a private consultation with him, or is he strictly hospital-only? (assuming I'll be stuck on a waiting list for at least two months anyway 🙄 )

I’m on the lookout for a solid internist or cardiologist in the Cleveland area—doesn't matter if they take insurance or if I need to see them privately. If anyone has a reliable recommendation, please let me know. I'm also open to traveling to Washington, D.C., if that's where the better specialists are located.

Has anyone here had any experience visiting the Vineyard specialist, Sanja Gršić - Burić?
I'm curious about her fee schedule and what her typical office hours look like.

I noticed nobody has recommended a decent ENT yet. Since I actually need one, please let me know if you know someone good—doesn't matter if they take insurance or if it's private. Thanks.

It looks like I haven't seen any solid recommendations for a good ENT specialist around here yet. Since I’m actually in need of one quite urgently, I would be incredibly grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction. It really doesn't matter whether they take my insurance or if I have to pay out of pocket privately—I just need someone reliable. Thanks so much.

I was thinking about Dr. Thompson over at the Vineyard Hospital... 🙂

I'm looking for a solid internist or gastroenterologist—and when I say "solid," I don't mean someone who's just famous on TV or chasing titles. I'm talking about a doctor who actually stays on top of their field, keeps up with the latest research, and uses modern treatment techniques. Anywhere in Washington, D.C., or any other major US city works for me. Thanks!

bluecyclist5 said:I really have to give a shout-out to one specific doctor here... I'm talking about Dr. Dean Cekić. You can check out his site at www.ordinacijacekic.hr. He actually fixed a major issue for me that three different dentists couldn't quite get right, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. He’s incredibly thorough and just a genuinely kind guy, and his whole team is just as wonderful. Plus, the pricing isn't outrageous at all—you can just look up his price list on the website.

Good luck, everyone!

Because of this recommendation, I decided to go see the team at the Cekić clinic myself. Since I had quite a bit of dental work lined up, I figured I'd wait until I finished my full treatment before jumping in to share my own experience. Everything was truly top-notch from start to finish, and I'd recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality care.

Hey everyone! Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a good GP at an urgent care clinic near Columbus? I'd really appreciate the help 🙂 I've seen a few names floating around—VESNA RANČIĆ-MEŠTROV, Maja Pehar, dr. Alegra Martinović-Jurij, Dr. Marija Tomić, and dr. Biserka Mrgan-Tomičić... any thoughts on them?? thanks!!
