My dentist, Taylor Swift, is so gentle—honestly, she works so smoothly that a friend of mine has actually drifted off in the chair a few times. If that's the kind of sleep you're looking for... 🤷
I haven't quite reached that stage yet, since we usually just spend the time chatting—mostly me blinking and her commenting on what she's doing. 😍
I used to be terrified of going to the dentist—back when it was her dad instead of her—but now I actually look forward to it. Plus, she really takes the time to answer all my questions, which is huge for me...

It's a private practice over in Brooklyn near the market; shoot me a PM for the details. 😉

Anyone got a solid recommendation for an ophthalmologist or maybe a neurologist over in Washington, D.C.? 🙂

Does anyone happen to know a reliable social gynecologist—or any good OB-GYN, really—in Washington, D.C.? Thanks in advance! 🙂

I guess I'm also looking for some recommendations for a solid neurologist in Washington, D.C.

Are we talking about something serious here? It's been quite a while since I went to see a private neurologist, but I remember one guy who was legendary for handling major neurological issues—thank God I never had to deal with anything like that myself! I can't recall his name off the top of my head, though; I'd definitely have to dig through my files to find it... Anyway, his office was right around the intersection of Washington and Wall Street. If you haven't found anyone yet, let me know and I'll go hunting through my old medical records!

EDIT:
Found him! It's Mary Shelley!

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve been dealing with these occasional headaches lately, so I think I really need to see a neurologist. What was it that made you decide to go to that specific specialist you mentioned?

I noticed you're also looking for a primary care doctor in the same neighborhood I'm eyeing. Honestly, I'm leaning towards switching to Dr. Helen Keller. There's this new, smaller general practice right by Bach's pizzeria over in Brooklyn—it's tucked into that ground-floor spot in the walkway next to the pharmacy, where she works solo. I walk past there all the time, and it doesn't seem super crowded; it didn't look like it was just retirees hanging around there either. I guess my only real question is, how is she as a doctor? I'd really love to move to a practice with a younger doctor and nurse, mostly because my current doctor downtown is retiring next year. That spot near Bach would be absolutely perfect for me since it's so close. It's technically a branch of the Community Health Center, which I assume means if I need something like blood work, I could just head over to the main Community Health Center in Manhattan, which isn't too far away.

If you happen to hear anything about this doctor, or if you find a good recommendation for someone else, please let me know.

I’ll shoot you a private message instead—let's not go scaring everyone away with all these medical diagnoses right here in the open! 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me.

I read your private message. I actually sent you one as well. If you happen to come across any new information, please, could you let me know?

I’m on the hunt for a general practitioner—someone who actually enjoys what they do and takes a moment to look up and say hello when you walk in (🙂). I'm looking for someone who truly listens, offers solid advice, doesn't play games when it comes to writing necessary referrals or prescriptions, and actually takes the time to check your medical history in your file... basically, just a conscientious, decent doctor. Ideally, I'd love someone near Central Park, or maybe somewhere in the eastern part of town heading toward Downtown—somewhere within easy reach of the light rail. If you have any recommendations from doctors you're actually happy with, please let me know. I really need to move on from my current doctor, because honestly, I never know if I can 😲 or 🤣

Kosanovic has a contract with Medicare so you can go for an exam using a referral, though I'm not entirely sure about Adler.

Ugh, just seeing the name Kosanovic makes my stomach turn. I dealt with a brutal case of demodex that she didn't even recognize or bother testing for, even after I went to see her countless times. She kept swapping out my meds and creams like I was some kind of lab rat or something. In the end, she actually told me I should probably see a psychiatrist and take something for my nerves because nothing was wrong, meanwhile my face and neck were a total disaster!
So I ended up going to the Regional Hospital in San Francisco; Adler was on duty then, and she looked at my neck and said, "this is a textbook case of demodex," but insisted we run a test anyway, which confirmed it.

Kosanovic is such an old, delusional woman that I would NEVER step foot in her clinic again. Later, I took Irene's results back to her and basically told her she should be ashamed of her medical degree... since it never even crossed her mind that it could be demodex, it was like we were playing charades or something.👎

My advice—avoid Kosanovic at all costs! 👎

I'm looking for a good Medicare Dentist in San Francisco. I'm honestly terrified of dentists, but I can't afford to go to a private practice right now.

Thanks

I guess I couldn't tell you if I tried because I don't know her last name, but she works over on Vukovar Street and her name is George!

Anonymous said:Hi!

I have two questions. 😁
I'm currently studying in San Francisco, and I urgently need to see a primary care doctor, but I don't know which one to pick. I haven't officially registered anywhere yet, nor have I transferred my medical records to San Francisco (or whatever the process is). Who is a decent primary care doctor in San Francisco, and how does the registration process actually work?

Also, I could use a recommendation for a good dermatologist in San Francisco (or maybe Opatija area)

Thanks!

For primary care, Dr. Lydia Primorac at Fiorella la Guardia is great; she was my student doctor back in the day and ended up being my family doctor too. She's a wonderful woman—not just for general practice, but a fantastic psychologist as well.

Honestly, I kind of regret moving away from San Francisco just because of those two women.👍

I might as well copy this because I'm in the exact same boat, just in a different spot...

I'm looking for a primary care doctor where you can make an appointment, someone who loves what they do, greets you when you arrive (🙂), listens, offers advice, won't refuse a referral or prescription if it's necessary, and reviews your files... basically just a decent, reliable doctor in the San Diego area—it's URGENT!

Private practice in Brooklyn near the market, DM me for details 😉

I'm hunting for a solid dentist, and honestly, everywhere I looked, I kept seeing Dr. Farkas's name being praised like crazy, so I figured I'd go with him. I finally decided to call today, but while looking up the number, I saw that Dr. Miroslav Farkas passed away this past summer. Is this the same Dr. Farkas who runs that office in Brooklyn over on Oakland?

Has anyone here had any experience with the Binoculus Eye Clinic over on the West Side in Washington, D.C.? Looking at their website, they seem to have really high-end equipment. I was wondering if maybe someone has gone there for an OCT eye scan? Does anyone know what the cost for that is? Also, what does a general exam usually run, and what’s actually included in that? It seems like there might just be one younger doctor working there, who is mentioned on their site.

If you have any firsthand experience or could recommend another doctor, please let me know—feel free to send me a private message too. It's really important to me that I can ask plenty of questions and that the appointment doesn't feel rushed.

Dr. Miroslav Farkas did pass away 😢 (yeah, that's the practice in Oakland)
Taylor Swift is his daughter.

He was truly one of the best—just an incredibly patient man who genuinely cared about his patients. I guess you could say Taylor is doing a wonderful job carrying on his legacy; all those great things people say about him definitely apply to her too.👍

I'll send you some more details via DM, but I figured I'd leave this here just in case anyone else was wondering about the same thing.😉

Go with a private practitioner, Dr. Višnja Tadić. Her office is on Massive Street, just one stop past Queens!
