Out of all the songs by Oliver that have been playing on repeat lately, this one barely gets any airtime, but if you ask me, it’s absolutely stunning.

on life's playing field

Eric Johanson - in The Pines

Just stumbled upon this track recently. It's actually pretty good.

The most beautiful American folk songs ever written. ))
Honestly, what else is there to say? I just bought my plane ticket back home.

The '60s were basically a massive middle finger to all that rigid, technical vocal perfection—it was all about raw emotion and just being yourself. It felt like everything shifted once Frank Sinatra hit his peak and started winding down, paving the way for Bob Dylan to cross over and totally redefine what a singer could be. This wave of freedom spread everywhere, from the US to Italy and France, sweeping up all sorts of singer-songwriters along the way.

One of my absolute favorite examples of that soulful, liberated songwriting style is this gorgeous track by Bob Dylan—which, fun fact, was even covered by Arsen.
