It’s just an illusion that age equals wisdom. In reality, some people just get meaner as they get older—otherwise, they wouldn't have made it this far...

Here’s a look at how business works...

He did the right thing. She wasn't listening, so he had to step up. 🤣

But my real question is this: how are we supposed to react to civil disobedience? Or does the enforcement of laws and mandates from the relevant US government authorities simply carry no weight when dealing with citizens over the age of 50?...

The most ridiculous part is that he called this a signing intended to help us take down the Yankees. 🙏

Fine. Very well.

Zdravkec just stepped out—now he’s complaining about the food quality. Is anyone actually surprised?

You took the words right out of my mouth. That’s exactly what I was thinking.

Wrong approach. Way too heavy-handed for what it actually is and the type of person we're talking about. Honestly, there are much bigger fish to fry. Police should be focusing on actual crime instead of wasting resources like this.

Bureaucracy is such a pain.

Honestly, if we hadn't followed protocol with the security footage, we wouldn't even know there wasn't a single moment where I could've actually done something useful.

So that's her move? Running from the cops, swinging at officers, resisting a perfectly valid arrest... classic.

Saying that's a "serious problem" is just childish. The police aren't some unstoppable superhero squad. You really think some cop on the street is out there worrying about some local football club drama or interference? Please.

Give me a break. Just imagine if someone treated your mother like that.

The whole procedure is garbage. You don't just grab a woman in her 60s just because she crossed on a red light while walking—let alone doing it by pinning her against a car while cuffing her behind her back.

Saying they should be focusing on more serious crimes isn't an attack on one specific officer; it’s about how the entire police department operates. When is this kind of heavy-handed approach even justified?

I can see that playing out, but it’s all emotion and zero logic. No matter how they react, I bet her family is sitting there wondering why on earth she ran off like that.

Look, you aren't "enticing" anyone by doing your job. You’re just issuing a verbal warning or a quick ticket—standard procedure. It's harmless stuff, even if the old lady didn't take kindly to it. Honestly, her jaywalking is probably the least of her worries after she started sprinting and swinging at the cop. As for the officer, there isn't much wiggle room here. He either detains her by force, which is what happened, or he lets her walk. He can't exactly charm his way out of it with sweet talk or a hug like you're suggesting.

I don't see how some basic police procedure over a minor infraction needs to trigger a massive debate about whether the entire department is effective. I got caught up in something similar a few weeks back, but even then, I didn't see how that was supposed to call the whole system's functionality into question.

While her husband and sons were out bleeding for this country, some idiot cop rolls up and handles her like this.

Disgraceful. Just a complete disgrace.

Honestly, this whole debate is pointless.

What would you even do if you were a cop? Just turn a blind eye?

The camera failing ruined everything. If there had been footage, he would have looked like an idiot for letting her go, and today the media would be mocking those pathetic cops who clearly lack the backbone to stop some elderly woman. Instead, the news is screaming about terror in Indianapolis, making a huge deal about how this 300-pound officer brutally ran over a poor lady.
But look, regardless of whether we think someone like a thief named Zdravko or a murderer like Tomica deserves anything but professional duty, this kind of injustice hurts regular people. It feels like the system is designed to squeeze those who are already struggling to make ends meet just to maintain this fake illusion of a functional, honest legal state, while the real criminals can spit on everyone, kill, run wild on the streets, or steal hundreds of millions without consequence.
Maybe start from the top—deal with the big fish and those dirty politicians first. Get everything in order so that Lignin’s old slogan about justice for all actually means something. Only then could we care if some grandma gets in trouble for crossing on a red light. As it stands, nobody gives a damn.
