umm, a friend of mine is studying over in Europe—do they actually accept foreign IDs there?

I doubt it, 😁but maybe
if they only take state IDs, then plenty of people will probably breeze through using student IDs since everyone hangs onto those long after graduation.
@feraltrucker5/">@@feraltrucker5 probably just the headliners, 😁I guess.

Whatever, I'll just ask 🙂
I mean, fine, half of them are basically like feraltrucker12, just super skeptical 😬

Honestly, who even worries about tickets before the day before the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival starts? 😬 It’s always the same ridiculous cycle where you stumble upon some forum user who's having a total crisis of confidence about whether they should actually attend, and then you end up spending your afternoon convincing them that, yeah, they definitely shouldn't go, just so you can talk them into selling you their passes for a steal. 😈 🥳

The price was sitting right there this time last year, $130 before it eventually climbed to 440. This year, though, they’ve officially dropped the price at $163. It isn't a bad deal, I suppose—though that all depends on what else gets confirmed down the line. Generally speaking, you just grab it immediately 😁

It’s not like I’m screaming from the rooftops about Arcade Fire ☕

Lately, I’ve been genuinely digging... Kanye (saw him live for the first time), Kraftwerk, Prodigy, massive acts, all that good stuff. I can't even remember everyone who was interesting anymore.
But Arcade Fire? They're just greasy, mid-tier alternative indie rock to me. Won't happen. ☕
Someone they probably make Dragaš lose his mind over. Actually, the holy grail . 🤣

It’s just a shame that absolutely nobody among those screaming with joy over the lineup actually cares about your opinion. ;D
I’m certainly not one of them, and frankly, I highly doubt anyone playing this year will even be my taste. But honestly, instead of whining all over the internet about something I have zero power to change, I’ll just spend my $100 on something I actually enjoy, and call it a day. At least there are still plenty of concerts out there...

Well, let’s be real, most of the lineups every single year fall right into that exact same bucket. 🤷 That’s kind of the whole point of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival—it’s built specifically for the devotees of those soft, mushy indie bands. 😬>

Not really. Most people show up for the big names—the headliners I already listed and those other heavy hitters. As for the rest? You just catch them for a few minutes if you happen to be passing by.

This is just a festival for fans of pretentious indie bands. 😬

It’s not even strictly like that...
It’s a mixed bag. Some good, some grease. 😁

There are potential headliners worth watching—massive, top-tier acts that could actually show up. We might even see some of them announced later this year. And let’s be clear: Arcade Fire isn't exactly the pinnacle of music or the standard for major festivals. 😬

I was just sitting here thinking about that lineup... Hatebreed, Anthrax, Billy Idol... It really makes you wonder about the evolution of live music, doesn't it? There’s something quite fascinating about how these different sounds can coexist in the same space, even if they seem worlds apart on paper. One moment you're feeling that raw, heavy energy from Hatebreed, then you transition into the technical precision of Anthrax, and suddenly you're caught in the pure, classic charisma of Billy Idol. It's a bit like a musical journey through different eras of rebellion... though I suppose time has a way of smoothing out all the edges eventually... 🙄

Come on, don't be like that! The Flaming Lips are such a joyful indie band—they're all about those good vibes! 😁
They absolutely stole the show with Massive Attack—honestly, Henry Mitchell29, can you even believe it? 😛
Honestly, from what I can remember, Dragaš has been totally finishing strong at Cave for as long as I've been around! 🙄

Alright, alright, Arcade Fire is coming up next—I'm not exactly jumping for joy just yet, but let's take it slow... nobody needs to freak out quite yet. There are still plenty of other artists lined up. I'm sure there'll be something for everyone eventually...

They totally stole the show from Massive Attack, you know, Henry Mitchell29? 😛

The vibe at The Flaming Lips was like watching hairy transvestites celebrating after mating.
Saw it from a distance.
That whole indie thing...

And the verbal vomit coming out of that lead singer... I honestly thought it was satire. Sadly, it wasn't. 😢

And Dragaš is obsessed with Cave as far back as I can remember. 🙄

Yeah, but luckily, he's moderate about it...
Because Cave isn't like he is right now, being AF and claiming they're "peaking like R.E.M. did between the 80s and 90s." 🙄😁
And the idea that they're currently at the peak of his imaginary hysterical rock ( 🙄 rock ) pantheon is supposedly the most important thing ever in music history. The current rock pantheon (TM). The most important band, according to him (TM).
Et cetera... trash.

Nobody’s actually banking on the National this year, are they? And what’s the deal with The Kooks—does anyone else have a bad feeling about them? Or maybe it’s just the usual tough guys on these forums who can't even stomach the thought of them.

They were just touring here two months ago; they don't need to show up every six months.
There are plenty of other bands on the bill too...

National always delivers. ☕

Especially if they're going to put on one hell of a show.

Looks like he blew his cash again... Typical. And hey, AF is sitting somewhere around number 50 on his wishlist too...
