Look, I'm just saying if there's any slim chance at all, it's on day zero—June 20th, 2010...😉

I realize that—but honestly, one shouldn't hold their breath. I find it highly unlikely they'd trek from Germany to the States just to head back north toward Seattle. They really ought to just book a solo show here—though, frankly, only a chaotic mess like a local garage band could pull that off.

Is there any kind of show going on, or what? 😳

I was listening to Bad Religion earlier today and it just got me thinking about how much certain eras of music hit differently depending on where you are in life. It’s funny how a specific melody can suddenly pull a memory out of nowhere. I remember being stuck in traffic in Chicago back in the day, blasting old punk records, feeling like I had all the answers. Now? I'm mostly just trying to figure out why my back hurts when I sit too long. Anyway, what's everyone else spinning lately? 😁 I don't know about Pearl Jam. I’ve got a feeling they aren't actually going to show up. 😢 I thought so, too. Honestly, that seems even less likely. 🙄 Arcade Fire is alright. 😬 I was thinking about Gogol Bordello the other day. Just one of those random thoughts that hits you while you're sitting in traffic on the I-95. There’s something about that energy that just stays with you. 😍 I’m just sitting here thinking. Thinking about everything, really. Sometimes you just get lost in it. 😁

I was at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival back in the summer of 2010. I'm pretty sure they aren't touring this year, and even if they are, I have my doubts about them actually showing up.
You can handle those school verification forms until April 14th. You’ll need to track down the official paperwork from your high school and show some ID. Once that's sorted, you can grab a single-day pass for... $97Plus, if you're on T-Mobile, you're looking at $240. 👍

You can use those school verification documents until April 14th, but you'll have to track down the paperwork at your high school or college and show some ID. If you do that, you can snag a day pass for $97, and if you happen to be a T-Mobile customer, the price drops to 240 👍

They won't let you stack discounts, 😁
it's an all-or-nothing deal—either you use the student discount or the T-Mobile one, but you can't have both, which is just such a massive bummer.😛

Has anyone actually gone out and grabbed their tickets yet? Are they officially on sale?

Actually, the Foo Fighters are already in talks for a different festival this summer.

Maybe we'll end up catching Roots instead, hmm... 🤷

Wait—at some festival here in the States? I can't think of one, though—nothing really comes to mind besides the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival being big enough to host them.

So, word on the street is that rokajfest might be happening again this year... though the big question remains—will they actually host it at Central Park? 🤷
I mean, if Radar was actually able to pull off getting Bob Dylan to Savannah, surely we could catch the Foo Fighters, right? But honestly, I’m a bit in the dark about this whole festival situation—it wasn't even around last year, and isn't it run by some international organization anyway?

The radar shows that they canceled the whole thing due to the recession last year too, though I walked away feeling like the festival itself is pretty much dead in the water, whereas with Rokaj, I just assumed it wouldn't be happening in 2010.
Maybe you're talking about that Burning Man thing?

Anyway, you're saying Roots, Kenneth Rodriguez58?! 😍

Look, I'm aware of that, but honestly, it wouldn't be the first time they missed their own deadline for posting updates on the website. It's just how they roll... thanks anyway, northerntrucker2! 😁

I think Burning Man is going to be on either May 25th or the 27th. It looks like the FF might be free on the 25th, but they’ll actually be over in the United Kingdom then.

Either way, you're mentioning Roots, Kenneth Rodriguez58?! 😍

Who knows what's going to happen with Rokajfest. 🤷

The thing about Roots is just my own assumption—and as for the Foo Fighters, the last time I heard anything about them here, there was some talk about them being in negotiations...

Well, this actually looks tempting. My only question is which city they’re eyeing for this. If it happens, I just hope the organizers step up their game more than they have in years past.

It’s been sitting there like that for six months now...

I wouldn't bet on there being any rock music.

Do we even need the Foo Fighters—considering they’re out there covering Arcade Fire anyway? 😉

I've been digging through some forums and found several mentions suggesting that quite a few artists from this festival http://www.hurricane.de/ usually make an appearance at Coachella, just like they have in previous years.
So, I did a little digging into the schedules for a few acts to see if they might be available—here’s what I found:

Foo Fighters — as I mentioned, they have a gap between their German and Danish dates, though I wouldn't hold my breath unless they decide to pull a surprise on us.🙂
Blink-182 — they're free on the 21st, but that’s just a breather between two shows in Germany, so it's highly unlikely.
The Chemical Brothers — free.
Arctic Monkeys — free.
Portishead — free.
Gogol Bordello — free.
The Hives — free.
Band of Horses — well, they're in Germany on the 19th and Sweden on the 22nd. Their only shot would be if they added a zero day to the schedule.

Flogging Molly and Sick of All It are already playing solo shows here.

The promoters are based out of Europe; in Vienna this year, they've got Moby plus some other unannounced headliner lined up, so we'll just have to wait and see who shows up on our shores, though I am certain *someone* will eventually take the stage...
