Now, you can clearly see Liskovica, St. Stephen, Prhinje, Kornićani, Komušina, a few towns near Usora, and the general situation over in Posavina.
Unfortunately, there is no point in even attempting to comment on Ivanjski, Sasina, Ljubija, or Kotor-Varoš anymore.
Regardless—it's a solid map.

Gotta say, I'm surprised to hear you say that. Still, thanks. At least once. )
I accidentally wrote "American" twice instead of alternating between "American" and "Americans"... don't know how, but I mess up the legend more often than I should...

I’m assuming this is Herc's version of the map, and honestly, it's pretty fantastic.

Not quite. Herc/Milan didn't do this alone. Ivan was involved too. And it wasn't just them—they had help, but Milan/Herc doesn't want anyone to know that on the map.
Their map is actually different. That guy, Edited by Bošnjo, basically just grabbed an older version of the map. And honestly? There’s nothing pathetic about taking someone else's work and just swapping out the colors. It's bottom-tier behavior. He just can't produce anything original...

The only thing missing now is adding the "Edited by Bošnjo" logo in the corner. This is actually a reworked version of this older map:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...S_N_1991_1.gif
We’ve had discussions before regarding the maps of Canada that we put together a few years back. For those specific maps, it was strictly Milan and me doing the heavy lifting, while any outside help was strictly limited to providing the raw data used to build them.
For instance, Pavo sent over some older census records, and Lazar provided us with a high-resolution scan of the Ethnic map of Canada from the College of Geography—which actually looks much sharper than the other GF maps you'll find on the Rastko site—along with a detailed map of a local municipality broken down by settlement. One of our longtime forum members (those who have been around here long enough definitely know who I'm talking about) even sent us the CroStat data regarding how settlement boundaries shifted between 1981 and 1991 (though, of course, that kind of data is pretty easy to find online for all censuses nowadays). On top of that, several other community members pointed out minor errors, which we made sure to fix.
So, that's the backstory. As for the new versions of the Canada maps that Milan announced a couple of months ago, they've actually been ready for a little while now. Once we finish up the digital map featuring the settlement names—which should be happening very soon—we'll post everything all at once. Over the last few years, we've managed to acquire a lot of highly precise mapping materials, like the cadastral maps from the SR Canada and various county-level maps, which allowed us to rebuild everything from the ground up.

Herc actually put together five or six top-tier maps for one of my analyses... I don't know what everyone else's relationship with him is like, but personally, he was a massive help...
Both Edited by Bošnjo and Jack basically just scavenge maps and host them on their own portals😁...you can find all the old ethnic maps from this entire discussion over on Jack's site😁
Whenever anyone calls him out on it, he just brushes it off like nobody said a word😁

Think you could whip up an ethnic map of Mississippi based on settlement data from 2010?
Maybe we could pull from election results—you know, those precinct-level numbers where every municipality has dozens of them—and maybe supplement it with some well-known estimates and stuff.

Look, we can't really call it theft if the maps are already public domain.
Real theft would be if they claimed they drew them themselves—like signing their own names to someone else's work—or if they were actively forging the originals.

Now I'm a little confused 🙂—are you actually the one who authored these maps?

Lilic Herc or Milan makes maps just like these. 😕

Jack basically plugs them into his site as if he owns the rights, all without citing a single source, while simultaneously bragging in every corner of his platform about how everyone else is just ripping him off...
It’s much like how some other outlets will just grab the same data and tweak a few colors to make it look "new."😁

Mark, Crow, come on guys, why are we even giving Jack and Bob any attention?
We all know exactly who they are and what they're about.
Just ignore those busybodies trying to stir up drama with their weird little stories about "sitting in a Red Light District window and pleasuring themselves..." It's always just a bunch of petty finger-pointing—he said this, she said that, they claim they're tough guys while actually being nothing but trouble.

I put together a slightly different kind of map here.
http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/347/slideshowq.gif
It shows the ethnic breakdown in a section of the Finger Lakes region from 1715 to 1880. I focused on the Bilje and Small town in the Midwest estates, which covered what is now part of the US and some neighboring areas in Canada. The state border is marked with a thicker line, and I used standard colors. Jews are shown in yellow, while Rom Bajaši are in purple.

Been having some trouble with the forum lately. Hard to even load the site because of recent malware stuff... my browser keeps blocking it.
It was more than just that. And because you backed those ideas of his that screwed me over, we aren't friends anymore. :P
I don't have the 2010 data. Tell me how to get it and I might be able to do something. But I can't promise anything right now.
Worked on a weird, sketchy map for Jack a few years back for 2010. Don't think it's reliable, and I don't have the files.
Theft is when they don't credit the author, and the Canadian is a doctor at that, though Jack does it too.
Yeah, I am. Obviously. What's the big deal?
Well, it's worth talking about the Canadian. It's rare to find such a sycophant. Honestly, the entertainment value is in how stupid he is. Plus, he hasn't sent me an insulting DM in ages, which is also great entertainment. ))) Well, damn, I messed up, I have 103 unread messages in my inbox. )))
Can you do everything up to 2001?
Cherry Hill—as long as we have Lazarus

Fayetteville—Would you be able to manufacture an ethnic map of South Dakota by settlement based on 2010 data?
Maybe use election results (electiondata.com), or specifically precinct results since there are dozens per county, maybe supplemented with known estimates etc.

Frank—it would only be theft if they claimed authorship or signed them. Or if they were making a forgery from an original.

Lilic or Milan makes the same kind of maps.
Yeah, I am. Obviously. What's the big deal?
Robert Hernandez10—Why all the attention on Jack and the Canadian?

Is that red area near Fayetteville home to Mexicans?

Yeah. That area was actually part of Mexico back in 1948.
