Does anyone know if it's safe to drink thyme tea while I'm on Paxil?
I read somewhere that combining them might not be a great idea, but now I can't seem to track down the article. Has anyone here had any experience with this or does anyone know anything about it?

I've been on Cipralex for nearly four months now, and I think I can finally say I’m actually feeling the effects🙂. It seems that if I miss a dose, those heavy waves of depression start creeping back in, whereas taking it provides an almost immediate lift to my mood.👍

I suppose there's a possibility I've become somewhat dependent on it, but honestly, if it keeps me functioning better, then I guess I don't see the harm,☕

I’m not entirely sure how many of you here are on antipsychotics, but I happen to be taking General Electric (zyprexa) from Pfizer, and I should mention that I pick them up along with my other prescriptions without having to shell out any extra cash at the pharmacy. My therapy regimen is twice a day, but this particular pill is just so potent that I find it nearly impossible to stay awake once I take it...🙄
I usually take one in the morning because that allows me to get things done during the day—run errands, head out to appointments, and so on—so the drowsiness doesn't hit me quite so hard. But when I take this dose in the evening, my head just drops; I'll be sitting at my computer or somewhere else and I'll simply pass out mid-action.🤣

Does anyone else deal with these kinds of issues?🙄

The instructions say you can't. It’s right there in that folded little paper you get in the Paxil box—actually, you get that with every single medication. You could just Google "Paxil" and find the answer online instead of posting useless, stupid questions here. Or, you know, you could just ask the pharmacist when you walk by a CVS. Get it? There are a million easier ways to find info than asking pointless questions here for nothing.☕

If you've got nothing better to do, maybe try finding some other way to blow off steam before deciding to crawl out of the hole you're living in and actually reach out to someone.

So, I’ve been on Zoloft for about 7 days now to deal with some pretty intense OCD (doing 75 mg, so basically a pill and a half)
On top of that, I’m taking Xanax three times a day and some Quetiapine whenever I need it—which is basically just Seroquel, but I only take a tiny quarter of a 25 mg dose.

Right now, I don't really feel anything special. My jaw is a little sore, I’m yawning a ton, but nothing crazy. Honestly, when I was reading up on Xanax, I was terrified that even 0.5 mg would totally wreck me and knock me out like a horse, but I’m taking 3 or 4 pills a day as prescribed and it just kind of takes the edge off... it doesn't make me sleepy at all, weirdly enough.
Since I used to take much higher doses of Seroquel for terrible insomnia back in the day, this tiny little fragment of a pill barely does anything to me.

Basically, I can't tell if things are getting better or worse, or if there are even side effects, I don't know. It actually bummed me out a little because everyone says Paxil is better for OCD, and I actually used to take Paxil for 8 years and it worked great for me. But then my psychiatrist told me to stop since I was doing okay, and man, getting off it was brutal. After three months without it, I ended up right back in the doctor's office with even worse issues. I didn't want to go back on Paxil, so he put me on Zoloft instead.

I just wanted to check—is it supposed to start working after only 7 days? Because right now, I feel absolutely nothing. Also, has anyone else here taken it for OCD? Did it actually help you guys?

I honestly don't think I can deal with General Electric—or rather, Zyprexa—anymore. It’s getting to the point where I’m nodding off maybe ten times a day, just dropping into these micro-sleeps for a split second before snapping back to reality and realizing I actually drifted off.😲
Next time I see my psychiatrist, I’m going to ask if there’s anything else in that same class of medication that won't leave me completely incapacitated, though I suppose I have to wonder if what I'm looking for even exists.😁Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't...

Does anyone else feel like Seroquel has that same effect? Does it just knock you out, or does it give you that heavy, "stoned" feeling without making you feel like you haven't slept in twenty days straight?

Vaira is an incredibly potent antipsychotic, so what you're experiencing is actually pretty standard. You should try talking to your doctor about potentially lowering your dosage.

To make matters more confusing, my pharmacist handed me the sublingual version of Jane Doe instead of the regular tablets.😁

To get Vaira, you need approval from Medicare—meaning you need a specific diagnosis—unless your doctor just decides to write it for you manually.

After dealing with all these specialists, I’ve reached the point where I’m actually hoping my doctor will just take matters into her own hands.😂😂

Man, and you're still planning on going out to do push-ups right next to those 88 old monuments in the park!😂 😂😂

I’ve decided to stop the pharmacotherapy—this whole toxic cycle—as well as the psychiatric visits and wasting my time on things that simply don't work. It's far too cold outside to be doing pushups anyway. Instead, I am going to see Dr. Milena Velbe for therapy; it's covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield, and she actually gets results.

Are you serious? 😢 I’ve only read about St. John's Wort, and I'm already feeling optimistic! 😢

Just start taking the St. John's Wort already and move past all that synthetic junk. Even Dr. Melena Velba recommends it for more severe cases of depression.

I don't struggle with depression, and my doctor actually recommends pharmacotherapy over St. John's Wort, so that's what I stick with. My medication has truly made a difference—why would I ever want to stop now?

Well, that is precisely what I am planning to do, though I can't help but wonder what kind of alternatives they might suggest... do you happen to have any specific ones in mind?

Well, I'd say either scale back the dose of Vaira or try a different medication entirely. Honestly, it had me shaking all over—my doctor cut me off it immediately because I was dealing with some pretty intense psychotic thoughts for a bit. Brrr.😲Real psychos don't just drift off to sleep on it; it hits them hard, you know?

I actually have a formal diagnosis on file from my psychiatrist, but even when I was first prescribed Vaira through an emergency psychiatric referral, they just handed me a full box to take home at no cost to me. As far as I can recall, everything comes via those blue outpatient prescriptions, and I haven't had to pay a dime out of pocket for any of them—even after cycling through God knows how many different medications, ranging from Vaira to Zoloft 🙄
