Russia is a nation capable of manufacturing rocket engines for space flight.
And that—right there—is the pinnacle of technology. There isn't much beyond that.
There isn't a single piece of Western tech that they can't eventually master, or that the Chinese haven't already mastered.
Sure, Russia will face a recession and significant struggles, but they are simply a country built to weather those kinds of storms. They are arguably the most self-sufficient nation on the planet.
By its very nature, they possess the fundamental resources the entire world requires—resources without which no advanced technology is even viable.
Food, energy, a massive military... these are the ironclad determinants of any nation's survival.
That is why it is impossible to truly isolate them or destroy them...

God, man, do you always lose your mind whenever you start talking about Russia?☕

Myths and legends straight from the heart of Šumadija😁

But tell me, what exactly is coming from Russia to Šumadija once you finally ditch that useless Western technology?😁

Rocket engines have nothing to do with cell phones or computers... look at what's happening right now. They're churning out cars that meet basic standards without electronics, AC, ABS, airbags, or power windows... that's how well they're doing... and it hasn't even been six months... plus, they've buffered their foreign currency reserves...

Probably lives in Europe or something, but whatever—his big dream is Russia, or he just loves hoarding hard cash like Euros or Dollars. Fix probably keeps his savings in Rubles. ☕

It’s true, isn't it? For someone living in Russia, wouldn't you say the climate control system is easily one of the most vital components in any vehicle?

That right there is a perfect example of myth-making. 🙏 🙏
Rocket engines aren't the end-all, be-all.
And here I was thinking things like the JWST represented the true height of modern space tech.
But apparently, I was completely mistaken based on that one fact!

There isn't a single piece of Western technology that they can't master—or haven't already mastered via a Chinese person.

Exactly, whether it's through simple time delays or by snatching intellectual property while it's still in development.
Though, if we are talking about leading the way in virus research and then releasing them into the wild, they truly are in a league of their own.

Russia will face recessions and hardships, but at the end of the day, it is a country capable of weathering such storms. It is the most self-sufficient nation on Earth.

North Korea claims to be self-sufficient too.
It's just that their version of self-sufficiency looks like the 1950s, whereas Russia's looks like the mid-1980s.

What is this ridiculous obsession with "self-sufficiency"?

Human progress didn't start by hiding in a cave—it started with trade. It goes back to the dawn of time when our ancestors were hunting mammoths. A hunter who couldn't make the kill simply pivoted—he started crafting stone axes to trade for mammoth meat instead.

And honestly, nothing has fundamentally changed since then:

Back in 2014, Russia was actually one of the world's massive grain and food importers—fast forward to today, and they’ve pivoted to being one of the top global exporters.

Meanwhile, we’re watching absolute chaos erupt on the streets of the Netherlands—which, let's not forget, is one of the largest food producers in the EU—simply because their government decided to shut down 50% of its farms. Apparently, the cows are farting too much and destroying the ozone layer... or whatever excuse they're using this week.

Fast forward to today: since they can't find any actual military targets, they've started hitting grain silos instead. What, do we need to "denazify" the wheat too after that whole Bear from Svalbard situation? Was there some Nazi symbol or an "88" stamped on that grain being bombed right now? Are the people eating that grain suddenly Nazis too?

The sheer scale of war crimes and pure immorality Russia is showing in this war is terrifying. They're disgusting.

Designing a jet engine with decent longevity is significantly more difficult than building a rocket engine. Rocket engines operate for incredibly short bursts (with the exception of SpaceX's Merlin engines and similar tech designed for reuse); practically all others are single-use. A jet engine, conversely, must operate reliably for thousands upon thousands of hours.
I am certain that Russia will survive these tribulations. The only question is the price they will pay to do so. They will likely beat their chests, boasting about how they endured, much as they did during World War II. Yet, there is no sign of public reflection—no questioning how or why we arrived at a point where such endurance is even necessary.

I mean, whose seeds are these corporations actually using, and what percentage of those planted fields are actually being run by Russians?☕

Man, it's not like 220% of farms just decided to quit... maybe it's more like 30% of farms near national preserves have to install filters in their barns, and then about 5% of that 30% are facing closure because they just can't swing the cost of the upgrade.

So Vladimir Putin is basically claiming they haven't even done anything serious in Ukraine yet, and that the West actually started this whole war instead of them. Like, seriously? 😁 If nothing "serious" has even started, then I guess there are way too many dead people for a statement like that to make any sense.

He is basically daring the West to meet them on the battlefield. Fine. LET'S GO. 🙂

Plus, now he’s going on about how this is such a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, even though he was originally claiming they weren't even a real nation to begin with. 🤔

Man, those Russians can be so indecisive sometimes, haha.

And he brought up the whole sanctions thing again during his speech, too.

"The US has accused the West of waging a proxy war"

"Vladimir Putin said it was obvious that Western sanctions were creating difficulties"

It's kind of hilarious—for someone who claims to be totally self-sufficient and completely unbothered by sanctions, he sure does love to bring them up all the time...

Dictatorships and their leaders thrive on having an enemy to fight; they need a target to justify their existence. The absolute best way to handle a psychopath like that? Ignore him. That is the ultimate insult to people like him.

The G20 hosts in the US just got hit with a massive diplomatic middle finger! Honestly, it looks like one huge win for Russia, proving their big pivot toward Asia is moving along exactly according to plan.

Since US Secretary of State Sergey Lavrov is going to be there, the G20 host USA decided they aren't even showing up for dinner later tonight.
