If anyone’s looking to place some bets on African teams:

Herve said:A:
South Africa is a lock, but Nigeria basically needs to coordinate their result with Congo in the final round. Congo just needs any kind of win to secure that top three spot.

B:
Algeria is safe—Mali has to match Malawi's result, especially since Mali is playing Algeria at home and Malawi is heading to Ethiopia.

C:
Burkina Faso and Gabon are solid.

D:
Cameroon is a sure thing. Ivory Coast needs a point, while DR Congo needs a win and an Ivory Coast loss—if that doesn't happen, they'll be banking on mistakes from the third-place finishers, Congo and Egypt.

E:
Honestly, nobody is a sure bet or a long shot here. It's absolute madness.

F:
Cape Verde and Zambia are safe.

G:
Tunisia and Senegal are both locks. For Egypt to slip up, Congo has to trip up against them, which would give Tunisia the edge.

Regarding Group E—assuming I've wrapped my head around this correctly 😁: Ghana should be fine with just a draw against Togo. Togo, on the other hand, absolutely has to win to move on.
Uganda should be okay against Guinea because they have the better head-to-head record—plus, they come out on top in the potential Ghana-Uganda-Guinea triangle (which is just a fancy way of saying Guinea has to win to advance).

Lazio vs. Juventus - Over @ 1.80 (0-3)

Man, Juve's defense is basically non-existent right now—they're missing almost the whole backline! On the flip side, Lazio is looking absolutely electric this season, totally eyeing that Champions League spot. Plus, let's be real, Juve has only managed two wins in their last eleven league matches... so isn't this basically the perfect setup for another
?
And don't forget, Juve is also sweating that midweek matchup against Malmö—which they seriously need to pull off if they want to stay relevant!

Lakers vs. Celtics, Under 2.5 goals @ 1.90 (1-1)
1. First half, Under 1.5 @ 1.40 (1-0)

I couldn't help but notice this juicy line for one of the biggest rivalries in sports. This matchup is legendary for being decided by a single mistake—just one defensive lapse and it's over. It’s always a gritty, high-stakes grind regardless of how either team is actually playing at the moment. Right now, both squads are seriously struggling to find their rhythm; we're looking at two former heavyweights sitting 7th and 9th in the Western Conference, which means they're nowhere near those top three spots needed to secure a guaranteed playoff seed next season. That makes today feel even more desperate because if you walk away with a loss, your season's outlook gets ugly fast.
My gut tells me both sides are going to play incredibly cautious, which is exactly what you expect from an intense rivalry like this in the US. The Lakers are hurting in the midfield department since they're missing key playmakers, so I think they're going to have a hell of a time controlling the tempo today. On the other hand, the Celtics are basically at full strength and will likely stick to a tighter, more disciplined formation.
Looking at the history, the last four meetings have all stayed under, with three of them seeing just a single goal. The Lakers have hit the under in 6 of their last 8 games, while the Celtics have seen it in 5 of their last 6—or 10 out of their last 15 total.

Borisov-FC Porto 2 @ 1.60 (0-3)

If I remember the bracket rules right—where the group winners face the runners-up—isn't it super important to dodge teams like Bayern, Real Madrid, Chelsea, or Barca?

The gap is just huge... I mean, they got absolutely demolished 6-0 recently! Plus, Porto is looking totally fresh since their domestic league hasn't been playing lately. A two-goal loss seems almost inevitable here.

Ludogorets-FC Liverpool 1X @ 1.90 (2-2)

It’s notoriously hard to grab points when traveling to places like Razgrad—look at how Basel fell for it, or how Real barely scraped by thanks to some phantom penalty. Liverpool is hitting rock bottom right now; they barely managed to scrape a win against these guys at home in stoppage time! Honestly, their biggest highlight this fall was that nail-biting penalty shootout against Middlesbrough in the League Cup. They just don't have it in them right now.

jadewolf16 said:Ludogorets vs. Liverpool — Double Chance (1X) @ 1.90

Honestly, playing in Bulgaria is a nightmare for visiting teams—it’s tough to scrape points there. Look at Basel; they fell apart. Even Real Madrid barely escaped with a win thanks to some questionable penalty call. Liverpool? They’re hitting rock bottom right now. They could barely scrape a win at home in the 92nd minute. Their biggest highlight this fall was scraping past Middlesbrough in a penalty shootout in the League Cup... I mean, they just don't have it.

The Ludogorets squad is actually playing in Sofia at the Vasil Levski stadium today.😉

Anyway, I'm on board with the bet.

Troyes vs. Nancy --- Nancy over 1 2,90 SS (1-0)

It’s basically a battle for the top spot in the USL Championship right now. So, Troyes hasn't conceded a single goal in their last three home matches, and I’ve got this gut feeling—maybe just a hunch—that this clean sheet streak has gotta end sooner or later. Only Auxere managed to put more than one past them at home this season, and since Nancy has been absolutely tearing it up on the road lately—they even have the league's leading scorer—it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they walk away with two goals today. Might be a little risky, sure, but hey, fortune favors the bold, right? I caught the Nancy game a few weeks back where they pulled off this crazy comeback against Le Havre, and honestly, they were robbed; they hit the woodwork twice and had a couple of other really solid looks, all in the second half alone.

Schalke vs Chelsea / Chelsea Over 1.5 goals @ 1.85 USA (0-5)
Matchday 5 of the Champions League. The German side is sitting in 2nd in their group with 5 points, trailing right behind Chelsea who have 8. For the home team, picking up a point here would feel like a massive win, especially considering Mourinho’s squad hasn't tasted defeat in 18 matches this season across all competitions. It’s an absolute juggernaut—this Portuguese manager has built a machine that just tears through anyone in their path, particularly in domestic play. They did stumble in the Champions League recently with a draw against Maribor last round and another draw against Schalke at home. I suspect they fielded a rotated lineup in Canada, which explains why Chelsea couldn't secure the win there, but today Mourinho is going to be hunting for that top spot and wants to avenge that home draw by dismantling Schalke. Expect the strongest possible XI: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Luiz, Matic, Fabregas, Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard, and Costa. With Costa back from injury and already finding the net over the weekend in the league, I think that Fabregas-Costa axis is going to be operating at peak efficiency. Since moving away from that "anti-football" style last season, Chelsea has transformed into an attacking powerhouse that rarely fails to put at least two past an opponent. In their last 20 outings, they've cleared the "over 1.5 goals" mark 15 times, and I truly believe they'll do it again today because they simply have to approach this match with total aggression.
As for Schalke, they're still being absolutely hammered by injuries, though since this has been an ongoing saga since the start of the season, they've basically learned how to function without their key players. They are incredibly inconsistent, but more importantly for this bet, their defense provides zero peace of mind to anyone facing them in the Bundesliga. In their last 8 matches, they've conceded more than one goal 5 times, and looking at the season as a whole, they've let in multiple goals in 10 out of 18 games.
Last season, these two were also drawn in the same Champions League group, where Chelsea dominated both the home and away legs with identical 3-0 scorelines. I'm banking on Chelsea to be just as clinical today and likely walk away with a win to guarantee their progression.

CSKA vs Roma x2 @ 1.41 USA; 1.40 SS (1-1)
A win today could see Roma clinch their spot in the Champions League knockout stages and effectively kill any hope Manchester City has of advancing. In the first meeting between these two in Rome, the home side settled the matter within the opening 30 minutes, cruising to a massive 5-1 victory. Since then, CSKA has shown some grit, holding their own against Bayern Munich (0-1) and drawing with City at home (2-2), before losing again to City on the road (1-2). However, following that trip to England, they’ve dropped two league matches while scoring only once, so the vibes in the Russian camp heading into this game are anything but good. Roma has suffered two losses this season—to a powerhouse like Bayern, plus defeats against Napoli and Juventus (which was a complete robbery by the refs). Aside from those, they haven't lost in 12 matches (10 wins, 2 draws), which tells you everything you need to know about how hard it is to beat a Roma side that is technically superior on paper. CSKA has managed only three wins in their last nine outings, and I find it hard to believe they'll disrupt Garcia's disciplined and rock-solid squad, especially since they've only won twice in their last ten Champions League home games (against Viktoria Plzen and Trabzonspor).
With Totti returning to the lineup and Gervinho and Iturbe likely leading the charge upfront, the Russians are in for a nightmare; they lack the defensive speed to deal with that kind of pace, and I see a huge opportunity for Roma tonight.

Quick look at tonight's Champions League slate:

BATE - Porto 2 @ 1.57 (0-3)
The quality gap here is embarrassing. BATE is basically playing the role of the underdog blowout victim this season—think how much the Dallas Cowboys struggle against elite teams lately. They got smoked by Shakhtar and Porto, and their win against Bask was against a bottom-tier squad.
That legendary toughness they used to have? Gone. Their defense is full of holes, and honestly, the visitors could easily walk away with a blowout win. I’m just hoping Porto stays focused and clinches first place in the group.

Shakhtar - Athletic B. 1 @ 1.70 (0-1)

Shakhtar is inches away from mathematically securing a spot in the next round. It'll likely come down to a head-to-head showdown with Porto in the final match to decide who takes top seed.
Athletic is finally finding their rhythm in La Liga, which is their real priority right now. Even if they slip up against the Ukrainians today, they'll have a shot at fighting for a Europa League spot in that final game.

Man City - Bayern Over 2.5 @ 2.00 (2-2)
A bit of a wild pick, but it's totally doable. Despite all the massive spending, the English clubs keep choking in Europe. Man City has no choice but to play aggressive and hunt for goals if they want any hope of advancing. Bayern showed in the first leg that they operate on a completely different level. If they stay serious, they'll breeze through this. I'm just hoping the English side gets a fighting chance before Bayern pulls a total blitzkrieg on them.

Schalke - Chelsea 2 @ 1.90 (0-5)
Chelsea can lock in their progression with a win tonight, and I don't doubt for a second that the boss will have his squad ready to deliver. Schalke is as inconsistent as ever—they were decent in London, but I’m expecting a total collapse tonight. Looking for a routine Chelsea victory, maybe 2-0 or 2-1.

APOEL - Barcelona Under 3.5 @ 1.50, Under 2.5 @ 2.30 (0-4)
Barca already punched their ticket, so expect Luis Enrique to rotate some starters and coast through this. The Cypriots are going to park a double-decker bus in front of the goal, making this a snooze fest. Unless Barca finds the net early, the unders are the way to go.

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Monaco (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.90 (0-1)
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Monaco (Under 1.5 goals in 1st Half) @ 1.45 (0-0)

I honestly cannot wrap my head around why the bookies think this is going to be some high-scoring blowout; they're offering these measly odds on the under for the full match and the first half. Look at the context! The Germans are sitting pretty at the top with a 3-0-1 record, and honestly, just walking away with a single point today would be perfectly fine by them since they're facing the main chasers from France—Monaco—who are trailing them by 4 points. Speaking of Monaco, they just scraped by with a 1-0 win in a total snooze-fest where they barely managed three shots on target. But hey, that’s just classic Monaco for you; they play this ultra-defensive, "anti-football" style that makes half their games end with two goals or fewer. They’ve only got a 1:1 goal difference through four Champions League matches, which tells you everything you need to know about what kind of side they are. Sure, they had a weird 2-2 draw against Caen over the weekend, but look at the trends: they’ve seen under 2.5 goals in 11 of their last 13 matches, and 7 of those ended with less than two goals total.
The reality is that while you're facing a German side that usually lives for high-scoring affairs, Leverkusen isn't exactly living up to that reputation lately. In their last seven outings, five of them have gone under, and I seriously don't see their offense overpowering a Monaco squad that is clearly more interested in not losing than anything else—they aren't going to go all out just to hunt for a win. If you want a safer play, the under in the first half feels much more solid, even if the payout is noticeably lower.

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Monaco / 1st Half Under 1.5 @ 1.45

I honestly have no clue why the oddsmakers think this is gonna be some high-scoring shootout, because these lines they're giving for the under on the full match and the first half seem way off. I mean, the German side is sitting pretty at the top with a 3-0-1 record, and I guess just grabbing a single point today would probably be enough for them since they're facing Monaco, who is right on their heels only four points behind. Over in France, Monaco just scraped by with a 1-0 win in a game that was basically a snooze fest—they only had like three shots on goal total. But then again, that’s kind of expected when you’re talking about Monaco, since they play this super defensive, almost anti-football style where you rarely see more than two goals in a match. They’ve only got a 1:1 goal difference through four games in the Champions League, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about what kind of squad we're looking at. They did pull off a weird 2-2 draw against Caen over the weekend, but man, they’ve had 11 unders in their last 13 games, and seven of those ended with fewer than two goals total.
The thing is, you've got the Germans on the other side, and usually, they're super efficient and play in high-scoring affairs, but even Leverkusen hasn't really been sticking to that script lately. In their last seven outings, five of them went under, so I don't really see their usual offensive flair overriding the grit of the visitors, especially since Monaco isn't exactly going to charge forward blindly just to chase a win. Honestly, taking the under in the first half feels like a safer bet than the full match under, even if the payout is noticeably lower.

Well, maybe it’s because the outcome of this game might actually depend on how that matchup between Zenit and Benfica shakes out? Like, if things end in a draw over in Russia, Bayer moves on regardless (though I think they've already punched their ticket anyway), so maybe they'll feel a bit more relaxed and play a bit more openly, which could give Monaco an opening to snag a goal and push the whole thing toward the over. I’m actually low-key considering the over for the German side, but obviously, that all hinges on how that first leg in Russia ends, though that’s just my two cents, I guess.😁

Ronaldo C.(idg+u)-Bas-ReaM (26.11. 20:45) 2+daje@1,85 (0:1 + daje)-Given how much Messi keeps breaking records lately, I suspect Ronaldo is feeling a bit more motivated than usual; he’s almost certainly going to find the back of the net at some point tonight. Considering he didn't manage to score in that last matchup against Liverpool, there’s a certain sense of urgency for him to make up for it if he wants to overtake Raul’s mark of 71 goals. That said, a Real Madrid victory seems pretty much a foregone conclusion, especially after they absolutely dismantled their opponents 5-1 recently and have been looking unstoppable in domestic play...
Basel(zžk3,5)-Real Madrid (26.11. 20:45) više@1,70 (5)-The referee for this one, Mažić, isn't exactly known for being hesitant when it comes to reaching for his cards—particularly in European competition. If you look at his last ten matches, not a single one has wrapped up with fewer than four cards handed out. Even in the previous meeting between Basel and Real, we saw four yellows come out... ☕

Leverkusen - Monaco 1 @ 1.70 / T.R 1:0 @ 6.50 / Monaco doesn't score @ 2.10 / over 2.5 goals - no @ 1.50 (0-1)

Look, I’m telling you—Monaco is just too subpar to actually play any kind of open, flowing game. Their ONLY shot at survival is to completely wreck the rhythm of the match and turn it into a total slog where there are maybe three shots on goal the entire night, and they somehow sneak one in. Also, let's be real about the group standings: there is a massive difference between finishing first or second here. If Leverkusen settles for second, they are almost guaranteed to get knocked out in the Round of 16—it's basically a death sentence. On the flip side, clinching that top spot against someone like Benfica is a much harder mountain to climb than just taking care of a weak Monaco side at home today. That said, I don't buy the idea that they can park the bus for 90 minutes straight without conceding. Can someone please confirm if that rule regarding 1st vs 2nd place still holds true? I saw > sounding pretty unsure about it in a thread the other day.
Leverkusen absolutely dominated in their first outing away at Monaco, yet they still walked away with a loss. Today, they aren't just the better side and they have the home-field advantage—they're going to be playing with a massive chip on their shoulder because that first loss was a complete robbery.

Most of what you wrote holds water, though saying he's handed out 4+ yellows in ten straight games is a bit of a stretch.
Five is a more accurate figure. 😁

James Taylor3, man... I really need to double-check my facts before I speak... ...in Europe.... I was thinking about the Champions League and the Europa League, but I have to admit, I completely bungled that one. Gamba Osaka vs Vissel Kobe 1 @ 1,50 (HL) (3-1)

With just two rounds left, Gamba is looking absolutely lethal—they’re charging hard at Urawa! But here's the kicker: Urawa has a brutal away trip to Sagan Tosu looming right now. If Urawa manages to snag those three points there, the title is basically sitting in their hands, you know? Because after they deal with a "totally unmotivated" Kobe side in the final round, they've got a way too early away match against Tukushime waiting for them.

Bo'ness United vs Arbroath FC over 3.5 @ 2.05 (0-5)

Bo'ness United play this classic high-octane, end-to-end style in the FA Cup—just pure chaos designed for goals.
>
Since that's their vibe, I’m taking them against Arbroath FC. Sure, Arbroath is definitely the stronger side on paper, but you can't ignore that United managed to scrape past Elgin City FC (5-4) in the last round at home... and let's be real, Elgin City FC plays in the exact same tier as Arbroath.

Looking at the stats, United has a goal difference of +26:12 across their last 10 matches in the Scottish East Region Super League.
On the flip side, Arbroath FC has been tearing it up lately, sitting at a 13:6 goal difference over their last five outings.
Honestly? I think we're looking at a massive shootout here. A few goals is almost a guarantee...

Liverpool FC vs Stoke City 1 @SS 1.70 (1-0)

Liverpool FC absolutely needs this win. Honestly, the Reds haven't looked great this season—not exactly looking stellar against Stoke City either. Both Brandon Rodgers and the squad have been getting hammered by the media lately; people are already calling for his head and acting like he’s already out the door. I wouldn't even be shocked if he actually loses his job if they don't pull this off today. On the bright side, their new signing Ricky Lambert has stepped up, bagging goals in the last two matches (against Crystal Palace and Ludogorets) and proving he can actually deliver. I'm expecting a Liverpool FC win by at least two goals—if you aren't feeling the handicap, just take the straight win 😁

The odds offered here are certainly far too low to justify even considering a wager on the current Liverpool FC squad. Their defensive line looks porous, and there is a noticeable lack of creative spark in their attacking transitions. On the other hand, Stoke City represents that quintessential English side that relies heavily on a rigid defensive structure and direct, long-ball tactics. They are unlikely to leave themselves exposed or play an open game at any point. While their recent form has been somewhat inconsistent, one cannot overlook their recent away victory against Tottenham Hotspur. Personally, I would choose to bypass this matchup entirely, though if forced to select a side, I would find more value in backing the double chance on the visitors.
