So, I just assumed you’d go without the red...

You hit the nail on the head—it’s a total classic, yet somehow feels completely fresh at the same time 🙂 it's honestly super... maybe I'll steal that idea from Chris Sanchez11 🙂

I swear, I am just so indecisive about absolutely everything... even when it comes to picking out cakes and pastries 😢

@ Chris Sanchez11 - I am absolutely voting for that first one, the modern version! It is just wild! Even with those little hearts included! 😁😍

I totally feel you... Oh man, I really do. 😢

Oof...
I love it too—mostly because it isn't cookie-cutter. But then again, I’m trying to keep the whole wedding vibe as elegant and classic as possible... in an unconventional way. My dress is black and white and I’ve got a black hat, while my guy is rocking a white hat—we're going for that 😍Bonnie & Clyde
look.
It’s driving me nuts, though, trying to make everything fit into just two colors.😠

The first one is stunning because it’s got such a unique look 😍—though the colors won't be exact, I'm thinking a sleek black and white combo instead. And let's ditch the glitter entirely; that's just not my thing. http://www.cakethat.com.au/bowe%20001t.jpg

Then there's this one. It’s a total classic, maybe even a little basic, but man... it's gorgeous.

That first one is wilder... definitely my choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏

I absolutely love this concept; it sounds incredibly intriguing! When I first started planning my own event, I had this exact same vision of sticking strictly to a black-and-white palette, but I eventually found myself second-guessing the whole thing.
Imagine using a crisp white lace fabric paired with those sleek black ribbons... you could easily inject a pop of something totally wild, like a hot pink or a vibrant violet... honestly, why limit yourself to just two tones? Technically speaking, black and white aren't even "colors," so they really just serve as a sophisticated canvas to make a bright, bold accent color truly sing... 🤷😁

I actually think this one is pretty clever with those little hearts—if a pastry chef makes a tiny mistake, you won't even notice it amidst all the decor🤣

I’ve gotta vent about what happened to my cousin who’s getting married this Saturday...

They ordered all the desserts from Ojai (the girls from St. Louis know exactly which shop I mean), but when they swung by to pick everything up two days before the wedding, they found the doors locked with a sign saying they were closed until 9.2 due to a death in the family...
I won't even get started on how unprofessional Ojai is being. They didn't even bother to call anyone! Even though they left both a cell number and a landline, nobody had the decency to reach out and say, "Hey, we had a death in the family, so we can't fulfill your order."
My cousin and his fiancée definitely aren't the only couple tying the knot on 7.2, so I bet there are plenty of other newlyweds left hanging right now...

Look, I totally get it—a death in the family is heavy stuff—but failing to notify your customers? That’s just shameful... 👎

Cech 😍
Feels super retro to me... 😍
If you swapped that white ribbon for a black or dark brown one—man, that would be moody. 🙏

So, what kind of flavor were you thinking of?🙂

Hey everyone!
So, I think we finally made our call on the desserts yesterday at the fair...
There’s this bakery out in Columbus that claims they make "authentic homemade treats." My partner says they are absolutely incredible—which is saying a lot, because let's be honest, most menus are just a total letdown...
Has anyone here actually ordered from them before?? We're a little nervous... do you think they might save the really good stuff specifically for the fair, or what???

Thanks, ladies!😍

I’d probably go with a dark silver ribbon—it’s basically my signature color, after all...

alright, let's not get ahead of ourselves by bringing flavor into this too just yet 🤣

Quincy:
I was just sitting here thinking about how life moves in such strange, unpredictable loops. It’s funny, isn't it? One minute you think you have everything mapped out—like a perfectly laid track for a high-speed train—and the next, someone pulls the lever and suddenly you're navigating a winding mountain road in a vintage sedan. You just have to roll with it. Anyway, I was looking over some old notes today and it reminded me of how much things change when you actually stop to breathe and look around. It's like that feeling when you finally finish a massive project at work and realize the world didn't end because you took a weekend off. Everything stays. Everything keeps turning. Just a thought. kaže:
Hey there! Just dropping in to say hello!
I think we finally made our call on the desserts... yeah, we officially decided yesterday while we were hanging out at that local fair.
So, there’s this little bakery over in Columbus that claims they make "authentic homemade pastries." My darling keeps insisting they are absolutely incredible—just out of this world! Personally? I’m not really feeling it. I've always been a bit picky about sweets, and honestly, most of them just don't hit the mark for me. It's like when you expect a gourmet burger but end up with something a bit lackluster; the disappointment is real. Just my two cents!
Has anyone else actually picked anything up from them? We’re just a little worried that they might be holding back the premium stuff specifically for the trade show or something... you know how it goes.

Thanks, ladies!😍
I’m actually pretty curious about them too. To be honest, I was already starting to wonder about their pricing back on the wedding day—it just felt surreal how much cheaper they were compared to everyone else. 😲
I'm honestly not even sure... has anyone here actually ordered anything from them before? I'd love to hear what the experience was like. 🤷
That stand was absolutely incredible; I was honestly tempted to just sit down right there and eat everything they had on display. 🤣

The cure... my biggest, most sincere recommendation is just to stay away from them... and I don't mean that in a "homemade cookies" kind of way... I don't know... no offense intended to anyone, truly, but I tried the desserts at a wedding recently and absolutely nobody liked them... not even me, and I’m no pastry expert, nor were the older ladies who certainly know their stuff... Besides, they even bake for Bill... those are just dry little cookies you could pick up at any corner store, nothing more... I'd much rather pay $333 more for actual desserts because at least then you know you're eating something real... don't be stingy over a few bucks when it comes to quality 😉

They’re still going after Bill and Walmart....
Ugh, honestly, when I tell my darling we’re still dealing with all this trouble...👎
So... do you happen to have any recommendations????

thanks

No... 😁
We are still exactly three months out from the wedding, and I am stuck in total indecision regarding the dessert menu! 🙄
Apparently, there is this one little bakery over in Seattle... they specialize in homemade treats... I’m actually planning to head over there tomorrow to pick up a couple of pounds just to sample the goods...
I know a woman who makes absolutely incredible desserts... truly top-tier stuff—I would hire her in a heartbeat—but she doesn't run an official business. Since my restaurant requires all vendors to be fully certified, it's a bit of a dilemma. I'm not sure how things work on your end... if you don't need the info, I can send you the details via private message instead!

Well, I could have guessed that might be the case...
It isn't about being cheap, it's just that I don't see the point in paying $30/lb for dessert if I can find a better deal elsewhere. In my experience with weddings, people only eat a tiny amount of sweets, and there's always leftovers regardless of how gourmet they are.
So, does anyone have recommendations for delicious desserts that won't break the bank?

I pay $23 /lb for homemade ones—personally, I think they're delicious, and they're a legitimate local business...
Not trying to sound like a walking advertisement here, though—if you want the details, just shoot me a DM.🙂

I'm totally with you on that... that's actually why I was thinking of getting them... just to have some extra hands helping out.🙏

I think we're all in the same boat here because literally EVERY recipe supplier demands all that paperwork, so thanks for the
help🙏
