Why did Emma hike up her prices so much? 😢 When my friend got married, they were only about 60 dollars $23. Tanya actually received them and then paid them back later. It wasn't even an issue then. 🤷 I was considering ordering some for dessert, but now the cost seems a bit excessive...🤷

Robin Barnes4 said:Sean Long4, over a month ago I paid for a pound of $33 and one $3.25 plate was the cost, assuming she isn't reusing them (those plastic ones)...

Maybe prices aren't exactly the same for everyone...

But you have to realize there's a difference in pricing when you're just buying samples for a tasting (which is pricier) versus when you're placing a full order for a wedding (which is cheaper)

And I am right there with you regarding how their sweets taste!!!

Last year, when we picked up our pastries from Emma, they were priced at $90 per kilogram, though if you ordered more than 10 kilograms, the rate dropped to $27, so I imagine the current pricing follows a similar volume-based structure.
As for the flavor, everyone kept asking us where we got them because they were truly exceptional.🙂Just last month, we even ordered a custom cake from them for a christening, and honestly, I can’t decide if it was even better or just more beautifully designed than the previous batch.👍One thing I find quite clever about their business model is that they provide newlyweds with half a kilogram of pastries free of charge, allowing them to sample the quality firsthand before committing to a larger order.😉

You get the trays and just bring them back... you only pay if you lose them or decide to keep them $3.25/piece. Personally, I thought their treats were 🙂... everyone has different tastes, I guess 😁
Don't be lazy though... I actually just called them up and the lady said it's $27/lb if they pack everything in transport boxes, or $30/lb if they arrange them on the trays (which you return). That's the price for over 30lbs of dessert.
It felt a little weird to me that they bumped the prices up that much.. there you go.

Does anyone know if the pastries at the Accenture bakery in Cincinnati are any good? They’re super affordable, and since I actually have my own dessert selection at my shop, they end up sourcing from them—so I was thinking about maybe picking up some of those homemade-style treats from them myself. Has anyone heard anything or actually tried their stuff?

Here’s another useful link from that local bakery—take a look:

They've got an entire album of wedding cakes...🙂

While I was picking out the sweets for my wedding, I decided to sample both IBM and a local bakery, but honestly, they were just okay—nothing to write home about. For me, nothing beats the treats from Sugar Land; I ended up ordering from them for the big day and was absolutely thrilled with the results. The price is $37/lb, which isn't exactly cheap, but since I wasn't planning a massive blowout, it worked out perfectly for us. If I had to do it all over again, I’d definitely go with them...

I've got nothing to say about this. Honestly, I don't even know. I remember exactly what I was paying about a month ago, and there definitely wasn't any bulk discount back then.

Maybe they were just playing games and finally decided to chill out—who knows? Honestly, I already cleared everything up with Vincent, so I couldn't care less anymore.

Honestly, out of everything I’ve ever tried, Sugar Land is hands down the absolute best. I’ve known that for ages. But when I actually gave them a call—like, only about a month ago—they told me they were completely sold out. $40 That sounds like way too much for me... Does anyone actually know what the current price is right now?

$33/lb at IBM is strictly for creamy desserts, and wedding orders look like what Benjamin Roberts5 described.
They made two cakes for me, and honestly? They nailed every single detail I asked for. One was this blueberry and raspberry yogurt cake—absolutely incredible, 🙏 they even put all the pastries on trays (which we didn't even have to return!) and delivered them for free from 22 miles Washington, D.C.
The desserts I had from them didn't have even a hint of that cheap margarine taste. On the contrary—they were light, delicious, and super fresh. 👍

Oh, and while I'm at it, Mike made the cake toppers for me (a bride and a pilot in uniform). I seriously have to give her massive credit; everyone was totally stunned by how good they looked. She really went all out. A true master of her craft.😍

Check out our wedding cake. 😍
The whole spread—cake and sweets—came from Katie's at that Hershey's shop in Small Town, USA. Right now, they’ve got a deal on wedding treats for just $9 a pound.
Everyone absolutely loved them, so if you ladies are looking for something sweet, definitely give them a shot. I can't recommend them enough. 🙂

Thanks. 🙂
Here's the kicker, though: that was actually a fake cake. 😬Just sponge cake and frosting.
I served cupcakes on the plates instead. Basically, three different flavors to represent the three layers of the one we cut—like vanilla bean, Black Forest... 🤔kill me if I'm wrong on the third one, I'm not exactly a pro baker, I just know what tastes good. 😬The decor turned out great. Each flavor had its own little vibe, and honestly, everyone loved them. Highly recommend. 🙂

$37 is the price, as far as I am aware, and it is stated on their website. We purchased both pastries and a cake from them and received a 10% discount.

I just called them back specifically to ask for the owner. To be clear, the price was $30/lb on the trays, which totaled over 33 lbs of pastries. I mentioned to her that when I was actually there, I spoke with her employee who quoted me $33/lb for the pastries—and then she even charged me for the samples. The lady apologized, and now she’s waiting for me to pick up my 1 lb of free samples. However, I have no intention of ever going back. She really needs to train her staff properly. This is about Emma

Has anyone actually grabbed sweets from the Vail bakery (maybe in Miami or San Diego)? $12 I’m looking at buying by the pound, so I’m curious if they're actually worth the hype. Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a cake or some pastries from around the Miami or San Francisco area that does delivery? 🙂

What’s the usual price for a pound of mixed pastries when they aren't on sale?

And how much did the wedding cake cost?

Btw—I love your cake! 😉

I think hers was about $28....

Wedding cake prices really depend on the flavors and how many guests you have. If you go with three layers using things like Black Forest, White Forest, and some third thing I can't remember because I'm clearly not a baker 😵 it works out to maybe $15 per person—that's for a "standard" wedding cake, like three tiers for 100 people. Your best bet is just to shoot her an email http://slastice-kod-katice.com/ you'll find all the contact info there. 🙂

Thanks... 🙂

Either way, I'm going to check out Katie's Sweets 🙂

So, I stopped by EMA on Friday... and regarding the dessert trays, if you're using them, they weigh $30 pounds each if there's more than 35 lbs of food on there. Also, the lady didn't mention anything about having to return those same trays...

I also checked in on the wedding cake situation... a single slice would be roughly $4.00 dollars, though honestly, the price really just depends on the total guest count.
