Drew Sanchez46 said:Hey everyone... I was wondering if you could all do me a huge favor? I am on the hunt for someone who makes absolutely incredible cakes and pastries—the kind of treats that truly blow you away! Ideally, I'm looking for recommendations in the Savannah area, or maybe somewhere near Madison or the surrounding suburbs...
Thanks so much 🙄

I mean, they'll probably get back to you with a list of places that have killer desserts, 🙂

Donna Chase12...
It’s most likely referring to Monica’s bakery over in Ann Arbor. Honestly, that woman makes absolutely incredible pastries!

Yeah, yeah... Monica... honestly, I’d never even heard of them until now... but I went ahead and tried four different kinds of cake yesterday and, man, they were all seriously good...

Does anyone know how much a wedding cake costs over in Ann Arbor? And are they actually any good?

Look, I know the cake is delicious (well, at least the one I had)—and it looks absolutely stunning... but honestly, I think the price really just comes down to how many people you're feeding and what kind of ingredients they're using...

Seriously, she works magic. I'm actually planning on grabbing a cake there soon (honestly can't pick one because they all look amazing). It's just on another level compared to everywhere else. I totally forgot to ask if she does those little cupcakes, though—so if anyone happens to know, please let me know the price 😉

Hi everyone, I’m new here! I just wanted to jump in and share a recommendation for all the brides-to-be out there. If you're looking for someone to handle your wedding treats, I can't recommend this amazing young mom enough. She makes incredible cakes and desserts—honestly, everything is delicious! Plus, her prices are super reasonable and she offers great discounts. She runs her own little bakery over in Ann Arbor, and most locals know her work as Clarin's Sweets. I used her for my own wedding back on October 10th, 2009, and was so happy with the results. If anyone is interested, feel free to reach out and I'll happily pass along her number!

Donna Chase12, where exactly is that Monica bakery in Ann Arbor? My guy and I want to go grab some cakes and pastries.
Are you hanging out over by the edge of town?
thanks

I'll shoot you a DM
Yeah, I ended up going with them... honestly, I haven't even bothered looking anywhere else... I just realized it’s the one, you know? No point in wasting my breath or my time wandering around looking for something better.

For 120 guests, you'll need about 33 pounds of dessert—according to a local bakery in Ann Arbor.

Monica Fabekovec actually took part in this event http://www.festivalkruha.com/2007/07natjecaj.html (as did my humble self😉), which gave me a front-row seat to just how talented she really is. I remember grabbing some of her pastries back in Ann Arbor, and let me tell you, they were truly something else...

Can I get some info here?

How many pounds of cakes and pastries per slice are we talking about at Monica’s and the local bakery in Ann Arbor?

The restaurant I talked to said I’d need about 40 pounds of sweets to feed 150 people.

Monica's got like a few pounds of cookies sitting there $27 — I haven't actually tried them myself, so I can't vouch for the flavor or anything, and as for the cakes, I'd guess they range from 8 to $3.25 pounds... but honestly, you should probably just double-check with her. I only ever ordered those mini cupcakes, so I never bothered asking how much their standard cakes usually weigh
