Thanks so much... I don't know if you noticed, but we actually have matching wedding shoes (shoe be do!) and the same style of treats, isn't that just the cutest thing ever?

I certainly didn't last long in mine. 🙂
They felt perfectly fine while I was just lounging around the house, but that's a completely different story when you're forced to endure fifteen hours straight in them.

Where did you get those pastries? Where can I go to try or buy them?

A client brought in some M&M's cookies today, and I have to say, they are absolutely delicious. They’re actually a bit better than those cookies from Costco I had at a wedding recently.

Honestly, I have no clue. They were from somewhere out in rural Kansas.

Wedding cookies? It feels like everyone goes with the exact same tired ideas lately. Does anyone have any leads on an original bakery for wedding treats? I need something different...

coastalmoose33, if you scroll back just a few pages, you’ll see plenty of suggestions floating around. Maybe take a quick look through them; you might actually find something that works for you. If nothing else, could you at least specify where you're looking? I mean, which part of the US are you targeting or interested in?

My old man was there once—prices were 😲
I think they were about $40/lb for the pastries. I’ve got it written down somewhere.

Hey ladies, I’ve been scrolling through everything here but I am having absolutely zero luck finding any solid info on wedding cakes or pastries in Miami...
It’s starting to feel like every single one of you is living in Washington, D.C. or somewhere nearby, isn't it? 🙂
To be specific, I wanted to ask if anyone has ever used AMERICAN KOLAČ over in Miami—has anyone actually tried them?
Their individual pastries are honestly flawless ( $30 + $3.25 packaging ), but their wedding cakes are just way too pricey for my taste; a cake for 75 people would run us about $500..! 😲

On a different note, I am totally obsessed with those cupcake things Zeke had; they were perfection, it's just a shame that Newport is such a trek from here... 😢
Thanks in advance for the help..!

I honestly think you could just ask your local bakery to whip up some cupcakes for you; usually, whenever I've asked, they've told me they do custom orders. 😁(I was actually at a fair out in Rhode Island, not just sticking to things in Washington, D.C.

Hey everyone... I have a quick question, and I’m honestly not sure where to turn with it. Let’s dive into something a bit more festive 🙂 I’m looking for someone who can make affordable, handcrafted holiday ornaments—specifically those classic red hearts. Everything I’ve come across so far is $3.25 or even more, which is just way out of my budget. Usually, I could find something similar at the local farmers market for about $1.75... but the artisans there have mostly retired lately and aren't making 😢 anymore

I'm currently based out in the suburbs of Chicago, but I'm definitely open to relocating if the right opportunity comes along. The main thing is that the compensation stays within an acceptable range. 😉

Well, if you really want to get to the bottom of things, maybe just head over to a local park or a farmers market one Sunday morning—you know, somewhere like Central Park or a similar spot—and just ask around there? If my memory serves me right... I think they usually have those little information booths or vendor stands set up on the weekends, so that might be your best bet...

There’s a shop in Chicago—I think that’s the actual name—that specializes in traditional crafts and candles. Their prices usually hover around $1.75 or a bit higher depending on how big you want it, though I guess it might change if you're doing a custom order. There's also another maker out in the suburbs. You should try Googling them; both are pretty solid. I always pick up my stuff from them at the Christmas market 😉

EDIT: Just a thought, since the local craft fair is currently happening downtown at the plaza, maybe check there? You might run into someone 😁

Actually, they’re based out near Columbus, not Cleveland. I'm actually having them cater my wedding in a few months... seriously, they are killer. If you need their address or a phone number, just shoot me a DM!

This stadium will be our very own 🙂 victory cake—except, of course, we’ll have these purple decorations instead 🎉
I found myself quite taken with it—mostly because it’s just so wonderfully out of the ordinary.

Honestly, I don't know if you're even gonna find anything for less than $3.25, especially if you want the bigger ones. I'm actually planning on getting some myself—I'm probably just going to grab them at the CVS over in suburbia—and I think they're looking to charge about $3.25 per piece 😉

Still stuck on one thing though: how do you even slice this thing? 😂
Either way, I love it.

Side note—showed up late to the bakery today even though they stay open until 9 PM! What a joke.
