Here’s the link where I tracked down those cupcakes; they actually have a Facebook page under some local bakery name too.

It isn't some big commercial bakery or anything; she just makes them from home, so it would be perfect if you're looking for something for a bachelorette party or maybe just a little something for hosting guests at the house.

Does anyone happen to have the phone number for that little bakery near Katie's in that small town?
The number I found online isn't working, and I'm in a bit of a rush here.

Thanks! 🙂

Harold Miller24 said:Personally, I find those cakes absolutely revolting. Why on earth would anyone waste extra money on them when everything else is already so expensive? At every wedding I've attended, those cakes just sat there untouched on the table. In my experience, it’s just a pointless tradition—but hey, if you want to throw money away, be my guest. Why even bother serving cake to guests? Isn't an overpriced gift enough? (And don't get me started on how much those damn confetti cannons cost $1333!!)

Everything stated above is strictly my own opinion. I am not attacking anyone who decides to have cake or actually enjoys it!

I'm with you; wedding cakes are awful to me, and don't even get me started on those parfait desserts. They all taste exactly the same, just different colors. 🙄

The thing is, we actually get both as a bonus from our caterer, so now I can finally indulge and eat my fill. 😢

A decent parfait can't possibly replicate the flavors of various cakes; it all depends on which pastries you're pairing them with. 😉
I don't get why you're killing yourself over this. Is it because you're getting free dessert?

Yeah, 🤣

Honestly, I’ve never really daydreamed about wedding stuff. Most of the time, after sitting through a bunch of them, my only thought was "I am never, ever eating a parfait cake."

And wouldn't you know it, life has a funny way of finding you. 🙏
(You can run from a parfait, but apparently, the parfait won't stop running after you.)

Fine then, just hire a caterer and order whatever kind of cake you actually want from someone else. 😉

Did you even try their parfait though? Might actually be good. 🙂

Oh my god, ladies, I seriously overdid it on the sweets today... I just had to share this with you all... even if it means a few extra pounds (not like I need them right now)

San Francisco and its surrounding areas have finally found some decent cakes for weddings and big celebrations... well, and maybe for my own wedding soon too 😁 yum yum yum

This lady calls her little business Holiday Cookies (I'm not sure if she's an official company or just doing it on the side), and I just found out through a friend that she does bulk orders by the pound if anyone needs them. I had one of her cakes once and it was absolutely divine, which is how I tracked her down (I actually already sorted out part of my wedding catering, ugh), and now I'm ordering more for Christmas because I really don't feel like baking myself, $27/lb 🙏

I am absolutely stuffed with sugar, I'll probably be full until Christmas arrives 🤣

To my dear friends living in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding areas—I simply must recommend the pastries from Auntie Stephanie over in St. Helena... they are absolutely, positively divine. Honestly, we practically polished off the entire batch; everyone who had a bite was raving about them! It is such a shame she doesn't offer smaller delivery orders—anything under 22 pounds, for instance—because I would love nothing more than to order a fresh supply right now for the Christmas holidays..

I have a thing about salads, I guess. 😢

But that's beside the point. To me, a parfait isn't a cake. Period. I grew up in a part of the country where cakes are actual, substantial cakes. So, this semi-sweet foam? No matter who made it, it’s just not going to pass as a cake in my book. 😳

Maybe just ask them if you could get a different kind of cake instead of that parfait? Or, I don't know, maybe they could just give you something else entirely instead of any cake at all!

Honestly, I have such a craving for profiteroles—so much so that I’d probably splurge on them even for my own wedding 😍 I mean, just to avoid being swarmed by people offering free cake, I’d happily pay full price for a profiterole cake myself!

I actually stumbled upon this great little site for cupcakes—they're based out of San Francisco. You can even download their full product catalog if you want to browse. Here’s the link:

There’s this one bakery over in the neighborhood—if you're coming from the suburbs, it's right there on the right side in one of those newer buildings—where the cakes and pastries look and taste totally amazing 😍
Does anyone happen to know the name of that place?
They actually had a shop out in a rural area until recently too 😉

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Any idea what kind of pricing we're talking about for a crowd of 200?

I don't have a clear grasp on the current rates, though a few things come to mind, $1.25 small, $2.75 large
. I can shoot you a number via DM if you want to go out and do some digging
. I'd imagine with an order that size, you could probably squeeze out a decent discount

Honestly, that actually sounds pretty doable. Shoot me a DM with the details, and I'll probably hit you up once I'm back at the office. Thanks for the heads-up.

It's Magnolia Bakery.
Their stuff is just okay though. Totally mid.
