Nathan Cox25 said:brightotter21, about that photo you posted—sorry, but I don't think that's whipped cream 🤷 have you already checked in with a pastry chef to confirm?

I actually saw that exact same photo when I was ordering from that lady! The cake usually comes with whipped cream, but you can totally swap it for buttercream if you want. I skipped the buttercream because, let's be real, everyone loves whipped cream, plus it's going to be super hot this summer, so... yeah. Honestly, those bakers work absolute magic with the cakes and decorations; I had such a hard time deciding because everything looked so good!😍😍

If you don't mind me asking, how much are they going to charge you? And I'm dying to know which flavors you ended up picking! I actually signed a contract with them myself, though I haven't quite settled on a cake yet

I just grabbed this cake, and now I'm thinking... what if I swapped out this single candle on top for those little glitter spray cans instead? 🤷 I feel like if I just leave it as is, half the crowd won't even notice it, but the spray would definitely pop! 😁

Google, I am totally obsessed with this cake too; it looks absolutely perfect. Next week, I’m actually going to start hunting for a local bakery that can whip up something exactly like this—the shop featured here is a bit of a trek from where I live. 😢

I think I'll stick with the candles, though, since I'm planning these glitter sprays for a kid's birthday party. Now I'm just torn between choosing the topper with the couple on a motorcycle or the heart shape (though, honestly, I'm leaning more toward the heart).

Fair enough, though the one in the picture doesn't even look like whipped cream to me—if they're making all five of them with it, 👍
you've got a point. Cream is better; most of those other frostings are just gross. We ended up going with marzipan, but honestly, the inside is so good nobody even needs to touch the outside layer. 😁

Sure, you can go with whipped cream. I actually had someone suggest a cake just like that at Smile 🙂

The one in the photo was made with buttercream, though you could definitely use whipped cream instead. It might not look quite as polished as this one, but it doesn't strictly have to be fondant.🙂

Personally, though, I usually go with fondant. It's just more reliable and holds up better against the heat. Even buttercream is tougher than whipped cream when things get warm...

$267 . It uses a bundt cake as the base (they always do that), soooooo... I totally blanked on the middle part 🤔 🤔 🤔 😵 something with bananas, and then there's a frozen tundra on top 😍

So, when's the big wedding happening? I've gotta see that whipped cream cake you're planning on having!

I saw something similar over in Monica. Is that their actual photo? They have those suitcases and all that—my husband wanted something just like it, but I passed. Plus, they hand-make those little animal figurines themselves. We’re just going to go with bunnies.

So, we swung by Monica's place in Ann Arbor yesterday... and man, they were absolutely floored. It’s easily our new favorite spot. We tore into this fruit tart, plus some chocolate and vanilla fudge—honestly, it was killer. And the service? Just incredibly sweet people...😉 plus they whip up these insane cupcakes...!!!!😉I'm calling it now, we've found "the one."🙂

I won't go so far as to quote the image right now, but those young folks out there on their motorcycles—is there anything even remotely similar available here in the States? Or maybe just something with that same kind of energy?
I haven't actually sat down to dive into this yet, but honestly, we absolutely need something like this over here! 😍

MiaVita, I actually spotted some of these on eBay. Here’s the link if you want to take a look: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=mot...+topper&_rdc=1

I’ve actually been dreaming about finding those on eBay, but man, they aren't exactly cheap... I was thinking maybe we could try making a croquembouche shaped like a motorcycle, or even just a classic cake with a little figurine like that perched right on top. When it comes to the croquembouche, my biggest gripe is that people here in the States don't seem to appreciate it nearly as much as I do—it's honestly one of my absolute favorites. 🙄

Has anyone here ever ordered a cake for takeout from Taylor Swift?
I am curious to know if you have had any firsthand experiences or if there is anything I should be aware of before I place an order.

LOL 🙂🙂

I hope I’m not coming in too late to the conversation, but wouldn't you know it—you can find an identical version of that exact cake at Vincek, so you might as well head over there and ask them for the specifics.
