And honestly, they look pretty tense about it—it’s clearly weighing on them. If they just🙂

Good grief—what on earth did they just haul in there with that crane?

Well, this topic caught my eye and I stumbled upon this... apparently, it's the largest wedding cake in the world! If you're feeling particularly ambitious or just love a bit of excess, go ahead and dive in! 😁

Just so there isn't any misunderstanding—and I certainly wouldn't want anyone thinking I'm just messing around here—I wanted to share a photo of someone I find truly striking.

Massive cakes kind of freak me out. I think I mentioned this somewhere before.

I’m planning on baking all the desserts for my sister's wedding myself, but I realized I'm missing some essential baking gear. Does anyone know a good shop where I can pick up decorating supplies—like cookie cutters and piping bags—in Miami? Please let me know the name of the store and the address! I actually live in Germany, but I’ll be vacationing in Miami this summer, so I’m hoping to get everything sorted while I'm there. Thanks a million!

So, I’ve been scrolling through this entire thread, reading every single thing you all have to say, but
I still feel like I need a little extra guidance.... I've decided everything is going to be
this deep burgundy and gold color scheme, so if anyone happens to have
some creative ideas for decorating the cake—or maybe even a photo
they could drop in here... I'd really appreciate it... thanks guys... 😘

The cake is going to be tiered... you know, kind of winding upward in a spiral pattern
I was thinking about adding some fresh flowers to it?! 😕

I mean, why not? Just grab some of the same stuff they’re using in the bridal bouquet... keeps everything looking cohesive, you know? And about that gold vibe: they make those edible sugar pearls. Or even actual gold leaf. You can eat that too.

Wrap a gold ribbon around each tier, then accent the cake with deep burgundy florals... and let's make sure the stand is gold too.
Something like that, though we could put flowers on every level instead of just the top.

Should I just go ahead and grab a satin ribbon, or what?

So, here's the idea: a gold ribbon paired with some colorful floral accents http://hotimg5.fotki.com/a/83_131/22...p_image002.jpg

do you think it’ll still look that sharp
and really pop if we actually decide to separate the levels
from one another?

Trust me, there's gotta be some amazing spots around here with cakes just like this—you know, where the layers are actually separate. Just look.

I told my aunt at the hotel that I’d much rather have a tiered cake instead of those basic ones on a little stand. She said she’ll try her best, though she's worried there might not be enough for everyone. Hopefully, she comes up with something great! I was thinking about putting some fresh flowers on top, but I'm a little nervous about how it'll look once they start slicing it and the staff has to move the flowers around.

I find this absolutely stunning. If they went with a small, intimate ceremony, this would be the one. Everyone gets a cookie.🙏
