It honestly drives me up the wall when people I only see a few times a year decide to comment on my weight gain... I mean, seriously, WTF? I’m pregnant—of course my body is changing. It’s not like I suddenly dropped 70 pounds out of nowhere; it’s just about 25, which is perfectly standard for being seven months along. If my OB-GYN says everything looks fine, then some random lady at the grocery store doesn't get to act like she's an expert on my health. 🙂

The heartburn is killing me 🙂—it happens every single day and keeps me up every single night 🙂

I'm also incredibly frustrated by how sluggish I feel; it's like moving through molasses. Even the simplest things, like putting on a pair of boots, become a ten-minute ordeal ☕—I’m twisting, turning, pulling from the sides, the back, squatting, using both hands, trying every angle imaginable just to get them on... it's ridiculous. Meanwhile, my husband just sits there laughing at me 🙂

And it bugs me that I can't just sink into a hot bath every day to soak 😢

Plus, I'm annoyed because I can't even do a simple pull-up on the bar anymore 🙂

Linda Booth28 — just take a deep breath and try to relax a little bit. 🙂
On a side note, regarding boots and getting dressed—if I run into any trouble, my husband is more than happy to step in and help. For instance, just yesterday, he was the one taking off my boots for me. Why on earth should I be bending over when I have him by my side? 😁

What really got under my skin were those acquaintances who loved nothing more than throwing around these empty, half-baked warnings—you know the type. "Just wait until your second month, then the nausea hits," they’d say. Well, I hit my second month without a single bout of sickness, so they'd just pivot to, "Oh, well, just wait for the third." Then it was, "Wait for the fifth month when it starts pressing on your bladder," or "Watch out for the seventh when it hits your lungs." It was exhausting. As if they couldn't handle the fact that everyone experiences pregnancy differently, or that not everyone needs to spend their entire existence vomiting or glued to the bathroom floor with heartburn.
And honestly? That unsolicited advice doesn't stop once the baby actually arrives...

So, my coworker had her blood pressure spike to 300 yesterday!!! 🙂

We were just chatting away when she suddenly looks me up and down and goes, "Gosh, you've definitely filled out, you look healthy!"
Now, let's be clear—I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant, and I’ve already put on, can you believe it, 2 pounds. And this is a twin pregnancy... so I just gave her this blank stare and said, "Oh, please don't start. I've gained 2 pounds, and half of that is just my chest growing by two cup sizes and the other half is the bump that's already starting to show..." But she just kept going, insisting, "No, really, you've definitely widened out in the hips and backside too!" She spent five whole minutes trying to convince me how much wider I've gotten!

Honestly, even if it were true, does anyone actually care? After nearly three years of struggling, hoping, praying every single month, and finally going through IVF... does it really matter to me if my hips have widened by 3, 5, or 10 centimeters??? 🙄 Especially when I'm carrying twins!!! And the thing is, she knows everything I went through to get here...

I can't wait until I've gained at least 35 pounds; I'm dying to see what she has to say then. 😁

She definitely understands the reality of this, especially considering how much those fertility medications can impact a woman's body during the IVF process. Like I mentioned before, some people can be incredibly cruel. 😁
It breaks my heart when people call pregnant women "fat"; there really is nothing more pathetic than that kind of judgment. ☕
They stare at your stomach and feel entitled to label you like that. Because apparently, if people don't realize it, when a woman starts rounding out during pregnancy, it must be because she’s just lying around eating all day and her belly is just from drinking too much beer. 🙂

I have someone like that in my life too. She knows all about my history—including two miscarriages—and everything we've endured. Yet, she can't help but chime in with, "Well, I wouldn't know much about that, since I get pregnant whenever I want," and she says it so casually, without even thinking.

I guess some people just take their own life frustrations out on others to make themselves feel superior. Unfortunately.

Of course there are underlying complexes behind comments like those... honestly, what can I even say? We're talking about a woman in her mid-40s who doesn't have a husband, kids, or even a pet, just living this total Sex and the City lifestyle. Look, family isn't the ultimate purpose of life for everyone, and I truly respect that—you shouldn't start a family just for the sake of checking a box, right? But it is pretty interesting how she’s always the first one stepping up to offer advice on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and especially when it comes to raising children 🙄

I honestly don't care about the comments regarding weight gain during pregnancy. I put on 55 pounds, but I was back to my old self within four months.

And for women struggling to conceive, I just can't bring myself to jump for joy and announce I'm pregnant right away—even five and a half months after giving birth. It just feels wrong. I’m such an empathetic fool, I guess...

During this pregnancy, I'm mostly just bracing myself for any unexpected medical news or complications. My first pregnancy really taught me how inconsiderate people can be; they don't seem to realize that being pregnant actually matters to me ☕

I mean, seriously, WTF? I am not their mother, and I’m not even a mother yet—I'm just pregnant... 🙄
And right now, I feel like if anyone besides my own mom tries to touch my belly, I might actually break their hand. 😁

Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive, because I ran into a coworker today who shouted, "Heyyyy moooom!" and before I could even process what was happening, he reached out and patted my stomach. 😲 🙂 🙂

I’m only going to be 13 weeks along, but I’m already dealing with these endless, brutal bouts of nausea... it actually landed me in the hospital on an IV drip once.
Anyway, regarding mothers-in-law—I notice a lot of people get frustrated when they try to micromanage decisions about the baby. When mine found out she was going to be a grandma for the first time, she was nothing but sweet and said, "Wishing you guys all the best!" But since my due date is in the summer, she just let us know they have their annual vacation planned at the beach, so that timing is going to be a bit tricky for us. So, yeah, there's definitely another extreme to the spectrum. 🙂

God, I don't get why everyone is getting so worked up about this. Honestly, I find it sweet when people call me fat or "mom," and the other day my friend's husband even gave my belly a kiss in public—it was actually really touching.

I'm just terrified of giving birth, and that’s where all my anxiety and frustration are actually coming from.

You’re right, I actually found all of this quite charming up until now. But honestly, I’ve started avoiding coffee dates with my own godmother for the time being, because the second she sees me, the laughing starts and she just won't stop. Look, I get it—I'm 4'11", carrying an extra 65 pounds, dealing with a massive belly, and already sporting a baby that feels way too big for my frame. It's ridiculous. And yeah, since it's freezing out, I'm stuck wearing my mother's oversized coats because nothing else fits, which makes me look like a freaking penguin. But her constant snickering isn't doing a single thing to help me power through these last few weeks. 😢

It honestly drives me nuts. I’ll go out for coffee with a friend, and every single time, she makes some comment about how my stomach looks small or gives me that specific look—you know the one. I’m eight months along now, and honestly, it just starts getting under my skin and making me overthink everything, even though the doctors say the baby is doing perfectly fine. Like, what am I supposed to do? This is just my build, and for someone who's 5'6", it's completely normal!

I'm also eight months in, and plenty of people tell me my bump is tiny. I don't really let it get to me, though, because everything shows up fine at my checkups, and neither my doctor nor the nurse have ever suggested anything is wrong...
I guess we'll all just suddenly bloat up like balloons in this last month 😁

I’ve finally come to realize that everything really just boils down to who is doing the talking. It seems like there are certain people in this world where the rules simply don't apply, isn't there? For some, everything is permitted. 😁 I honestly don't think I could ever misinterpret someone's intentions... yet there are certain people who just make my blood pressure spike the second they even look my way. Maybe it’s just that being a New Parent makes me more sensitive to everyone else's energy? It feels like everything is just hitting a little harder lately. 😉

I am honestly just so fed up with these bitter old ladies and their pathetic, sniveling little excuses... It’s enough to make anyone lose their mind.

My husband isn't acting all "mushy" anymore now that I'm pregnant.

He does everything I ask—he's supportive and we have everything we need—but I just wish he’d actually *want* to rub my belly without me asking, or talk to the baby on his own. I mean, okay, maybe it's too early since I haven't even felt those kicks yet, but still...

It's not even making me mad, it's just... sad.

If he puts his hand on my stomach, it's usually because I prompted him, and I really am trying to pull him into all of this—but even though we both wanted this baby and planned for it, I was hoping for a bit more emotional connection from his side.

Don't sweat it, things have a way of working themselves out. Honestly, my guy didn't really seem to "get it" until I was showing pretty clearly and he could actually feel the baby moving. It’s like they aren't even watching the same movie we are.
After that, he was constantly rubbing my belly, talking to it, singing... you know the drill. He was an absolute rock during labor, too. And now? He’s just this incredible dad that our daughter absolutely adores.

I mean, I assume things will play out the same way here in the States, but it still sucks—it’s just depressing. Probably just my hormones acting up... 🤷

Anyway, thanks for the comfort!
