It honestly drives me insane seeing those pathetic little booths set up by that "In the Name of the Family" group everywhere I turn. And then they have the nerve to start targeting me just because they see I'm pregnant!

Andrew Hill8 said:Just wanted to jump in here and add my two cents... for me, the second trimester was actually the worst part, I'm talking constant burping, nausea hitting me all day long, and feeling dizzy almost every single hour of the day.🙄
And the absolute kicker is that I'm mentally bracing myself for potential complications, but I can't help but feel like most people at my office think I'm just making excuses... since they're all those classic "early symptoms," right? Like, yeah, good luck believing me.🙂

At the end of the day, every pregnancy is its own wild ride!

For most women, however, the nausea tapers off by week 16 or 17.
That certainly isn't an excuse to accuse anyone who is unlucky enough to suffer through the second or even third trimester😢 of being dramatic or faking it.

During my first trimester, I was basically a walking zombie. I’m talking bone-deep, soul-crushing exhaustion—like, I could barely keep my eyes open long enough to function. I spent pretty much every waking moment passed out; honestly, there were days where I think I was only actually awake for maybe five hours total 🙄

LOL... everyone expects me to sign their petitions too, just because I'm expecting. 🤣🙄

I’ve honestly started shooting literal lightning bolts out of my eyes... My face just shows this look of pure, deep disgust. When someone tried to come at me today, I just looked them dead in the eye and asked if they had basically hijacked a kid that two straight parents had given up on...

Seriously, it's just one mom against the world!

I try to be respectful. I’ve attempted to explain how selfish it is to claim responsibility for someone else's fate like that—how spreading hate through a signature is just wrong, and that they should just stay quiet. But people like that? They just don't get it.🙄

I found myself deeply unsettled by the sheer incompetence and arrogance displayed by certain doctors, specifically the way they seemed to treat my baby’s life—and my own health—with such casual indifference.

I don't know, they actually seemed pretty chill to me—just joking around a bit. Besides, my signature carries twice as much weight anyway. 😍 Even if they hadn't been so friendly, I still would've signed; nobody needs to badger me or pull on my arm to get it done. To be fair, lately it feels like everyone's being way too nice to me, so nothing really gets under my skin anymore. 😁

The real hypocrites are the ones preaching tolerance and non-discrimination while doing the exact opposite in their daily lives.

Honestly, I don't see any issue with protecting marriage as a union between a man and a woman through the Constitution—if anything, it makes sense. Everyone’s got every right to fight for the values they actually believe in.

I see a problem because such a provision would be unconstitutional. It wouldn't hold up against the core civil values we strive for—chiefly, equality for all people.

I don't condone violence, whether it's burning down stalls or using petitions to try and limit the freedoms of those who are different from us.

They’re starting to get on my nerves too. There’s a booth right in front of the university campus, and since they originally said they’d only be stationed near churches, I honestly thought I’d managed to avoid them entirely 🙂 Don't get me wrong, I’m against violence, but I can't help but get a little sharp with my words when I hear the aggressive tactics they use to pressure people into signing 🤮 🤮

I have to admit, I haven't actually seen a single booth yet, but I already know they’d drive the masses crazy. Just knowing they exist is enough to get on my nerves.

Fight against who, exactly? People who just want to adopt a child after the heterosexual parents left them behind?!

And protect it from what? From some group of people attacking the institution of marriage? Who is actually bothering you? Who is touching you or anyone else? Who is stepping into your private life so much that you feel entitled to stomp all over someone else's?

The Constitution isn't meant to be amended in a way that strips away human rights—that’s unconstitutional. It's a total disconnect that only people living in their own little bubbles fail to see. Of course, those people have rights too, but those rights shouldn't extend to trampling on everyone else's.

Think whatever you want inside your own four walls during your free time.

That's what gets under my skin—this narrow-mindedness masquerading as religious conviction. Even Jesus would weep seeing these hypocrites claiming they're "defending" things while actually threatening the rights of others. It's like everyone has completely forgotten the commandment to love. Shame on them.

As a Catholic, I find it insulting that people are gathering to sign petitions right in front of the church.
It has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity.
It’s just sowing seeds of hatred...

Talk about hitting the nail on the head with this topic... What’s been the absolute most irritating, eye-opening thing for you guys during pregnancy? For me, it’s the sheer, unadulterated selfishness of my entire family!!!
I am seriously losing my mind today. I’m 29 weeks along, and since I've basically been on bed rest at home for most of this pregnancy, my family has decided that means I’m just "on call" for whatever they need. I’m running errands doing useless, mindless stuff like hauling around paperwork that isn't even mine, paying bills—I actually spent nearly an hour standing in line at Exelon with a stomach ache, and because I didn't look visibly pregnant yet, nobody helped until I practically collapsed right there!!—and doing daily grocery runs where I’m lugging heavy bags I definitely shouldn't be touching. Don't get me wrong, if I’m feeling okay and I’m actually up and moving, I’ll handle things, but I'm not a servant. And the irony? Their constant mantra is, "Don't overdo it, honey, just rest, don't push yourself too hard, sleep while you can because once the baby arrives, you won't get any peace." Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah... To make matters worse, this stupid spring allergy caught up with me. I haven't slept properly in three nights because I've been coughing my lungs out and dealing with a stuffed nose. So, I finally decide to lie down for a quick afternoon nap because I am absolutely wiped, and then the chaos starts. First, my parrot starts acting like a complete lunatic, screaming at its own reflection in the mirror. Then my husband sprawls out on the couch and cranks his TV show up to a deafening volume. Then my dad starts shouting from the floor above twice, demanding I come help move his car out of the driveway so he can get out. He doesn't even stop to think, "Hey, maybe she’s sleeping!!!" Then the dog starts barking hysterically at everything. I finally snap and stomp into another room, while my husband just sits there laughing at me!! Like, dude, you are part of the reason this is happening :-s... So, I finally manage to get a solid 45 minutes of sleep, but nope, it's not over. My mom starts yelling from the yard and ringing the doorbell (because of course, I didn't answer!) just to tell me they unloaded some stuff from the car "for me." I totally lost it on her—the ringing, the yelling from the stairs like we were at a busy train station... Her response? "See, this is why it's not a good idea for us to come over to your place." Um, hello?? The problem isn't that you shouldn't visit; the problem is that instead of coming up to the apartment, you’re all making a scene from the driveway and the stairs! If you had just walked upstairs, you would have seen I was sleeping, and it wouldn't have been a big deal. Meanwhile, my husband is still glued to the couch, watching some ridiculous "Food & Wine" show that has been annoying me for months :-s
The polar opposite of this mess is my sister. She only shows up when she needs something. Otherwise, her whole philosophy is that she doesn't want to visit because she feels "uncomfortable" or "doesn't want to walk into an awkward situation"—as if my husband and I are having sex at 4 in the afternoon!!! She sees I'm sleeping and decides the best way to wake me is to start tickling my feet!! WHO IS THE CRAZY ONE HERE?!?!? Okay, fine... I'll blame the pregnancy hormones if it makes it easier...

Is it just me, or does pregnancy make you feel incredibly clumsy? It’s like I suddenly lost all my coordination overnight!🙂
I’ve got these little bruises around my knees from constantly bumping into the coffee table in the living room, I always have at least two cuts on my fingers covered in Band-Aids, and honestly, I think I’ve broken more dishes in the last few months than I did in my entire life combined! 🤦

It honestly drives me crazy listening to some of the women at the office—who all seem to have gained about ten pounds during pregnancy and then walked out of the hospital looking like they just stepped off a runway in NYC.

Because comments like "you're getting chunky" or "look at those curves!" basically imply it's totally normal, while my—get this, listen to me!—STOMACH HAS LITERALLY GROWN AN ENTIRE SIZE.🤷

With those types of women—who might gain a standard 20 or even 30 pounds and constantly harp on about it, asking me how much weight I've put on—I always used to tell them I gained less than I actually did (even though I definitely didn't look like I had gained 50 lbs). Once the weight came off quickly for me, I'd just tell those same women that I actually gained 60, mostly because it seems to bother them that they still can't lose their own 20 pounds..
Now that I'm on my second pregnancy, they're telling me, "You won't lose it as easily this time!!" Honestly, they should worry about their own figures instead of obsessing over mine... I guess it doesn't bother me as much anymore, but I do feel bad for other girls who they end up giving complexes to..

It also drives me crazy day after day, hearing people comment on the fact that I'm having ANOTHER GIRL (Oh, my Bog, imagine the tragedy—I'll actually have two girls!!!). One of my godmothers even remarked when she heard the second one was a girl that my husband just isn't very lucky. And my neighbor made such a face when I told her, like she'd smelled something terrible, acting all shocked and saying, "Oh, honey..."
But we've always wanted two girls—two sisters close in age 😍😍😍
As long as the kids are healthy and happy, it doesn't matter what they are. My Bog, people can be so incredibly tactless and foolish..
