Ah, husbands. Honestly, even my own guy was baffled by how nauseous and miserable I felt so early on—he was actually pretty annoyed that Gin had put a veto on sex, especially since now I’m suddenly craving a greasy burger from Shake Shack... but, I guess he totally missed the mark 😁 Now he finally remembers to pick up some salty bagels for me without me having to remind him—it’s pure cat litter, honestly, he won't even let the cats get near his stomach 🤣
Though, I suspect all that brain fog really kicked in after he got shut down by those two young fathers regarding certain matters 😁 He thought I was just making things up or reading too much into everything 😁 But once a man told him that all of this is perfectly normal, he finally settled down with it 😍

My husband just completely drove me up the wall. I was picking him up from work, and he casually mentions that he needs to drop something off for one of his colleagues. I thought, "Sure, let's get that done so we can head home, tackle the housework, maybe prep some dinner—I was thinking about making a big batch of chili and some homemade cobbler or something"—but apparently, that wasn't the plan. No, we’re heading out for drinks instead. He didn't even mention it earlier because, honestly, he knows I wouldn't agree if he'd been upfront, especially since we have so much to get through at the house. He promised he’d help me out, but now he’s just been glued to his phone for the last hour, giving me the silent treatment because I'm rightfully annoyed that he isn't stepping up to help.

My mom is driving me absolutely insane. She calls me every single day, and if I happen to pick up sounding even slightly off, she immediately starts panicking. Otherwise, her first question every time we talk is what's wrong with me or why I'm feeling sick. 🙄I'm Truman, not dying!!!

My family knows exactly how to push my buttons. All the time. Then I just snap and lose it. Usually, it’s my brother—he’s 23, but honestly, he acts like a toddler half the time, and I just don't have the patience for that kind of nonsense. My dad told me he’s going to ground me from talking to them if I don't chill out.

My mother-in-law was acting like a total know-it-all last night. Like, where does she even get off telling me I shouldn't drink alcohol while I'm pregnant? Who does she think she is?
Honestly, why does it matter? Whether I heard it from my doctor, read it somewhere, or just decided it myself—that's my business. She probably spent her whole pregnancy drinking anyway; looking at my husband, I can see those "genius" genes definitely kicked in at some point...
Everyone's getting on my nerves lately, but she’s definitely at the top of the list.

Lately, I keep getting asked the same thing: "Are you afraid of giving birth?" 🙄

God, is there anyone out there who hasn't been trying to bribe me with cookies and sweets for the last few days? 😲 I’m supposed to be on this strict diet, but apparently, I have zero willpower because 😢 I end up caving every single time. 😠
Honestly, I can't decide if I'm more pissed off at everyone else or just at myself. 🙄

Honestly, some people just don't know when to back off—it's getting a bit much.

It absolutely drives me insane when everyone starts grilling me about whether I got pregnant naturally or via "IVF." 😠😠

Look, I have zero shame about getting pregnant through IVF—it’s what worked—but the way certain acquaintances throw these questions at me is enough to make me lose my mind. It’s like, excuse me? Do I go around asking them, "So, when exactly did you guys have sex so you could end up pregnant?" 🙄🙄

Man, people can be so incredibly rude... honestly, why does it even matter how it happened? Whether it was old-fashioned or a baby from a petri dish, a pregnancy is a pregnancy. Most of the time, it's all the same. I don't get how anyone can be that blunt and just ask...
I went through something similar with my boss's husband when we ran into them in town. We’d been trying for a long time, and they had been too—they’re pushing 40 now. His wife is finally pregnant, and she just looks at us and goes, "You guys used IVF to conceive too, right?" My husband told her no, we actually conceived naturally between treatments, and the guy just stared at us like, "No way, I totally thought you guys were doing the artificial route..." Just pure stupidity. You meet all kinds of idiots out there.😠

Why split one room into two anyway? You really hate the whole open-concept kitchen and living room vibe that much? 🤔

I haven't been around for a while; I was out in SLO without any internet access. 🙄

I don't actually eat the fat from the meat; I’m pretty careful about trimming it off my own portion. But every single time my uncle sees me doing that, he makes some comment about how I shouldn't eat it if I don't want to get fat—as if it's anything like the chips I eat.
And every time, I have to explain to him that I don't even eat chips. I haven't touched them since I found out I was pregnant (though, okay, maybe I had one or two 😛, just enough so I wouldn't forget the taste).
But honestly, that day I just hit a wall. I'm tired of having to defend myself every single time, explaining that I'm not eating chips, only to be met with more comments about my weight.

Since I'm having twins, I'm guessing they'll arrive a little early—my due date is February 27th—but maybe not by much. Even now, some people have already started giving my husband a hard time about me being away, or asking what happens if I just don't pick up the phone...

I wonder what else is coming my way...🙄

Hey girl!!
First things first, I want to wish you guys an absolutely amazing, happiest New Year ever!!!

Honestly, nothing really gets under my skin lately except for my mother-in-law, my husband, the cat, and basically everyone else... oh, and waiting on my paycheck, 🤔
I guess that’s about it!

It honestly drives me up the wall when my mother-in-law starts preaching at me about just lying around and letting nature take its course—like, "just relax, as long as the baby is healthy and whole, everything is fine." It’s like, yeah, everyone says "stay positive" and "hope for the best," but hearing it constantly like that? It totally loses me. It's infuriating.😠

So, a coworker at the office today. She actually asks me how much weight I’ve put on. I told her 5 pounds (I'm 25 weeks along today). Her response? "Oh, that's nothing! The baby won't grow like that. Are you eating enough? You need to drink more milk!" 🙂 🙂
I just told her straight up that I eat plenty, and honestly, if I lost another 20 pounds, the baby would still have more than enough to work with from my previous weight. Then came the unsolicited advice—"Well, I used to be overweight too (read: she's shaped like a beach ball, carrying all my weight in a much shorter frame), and I gained 35 pounds during my pregnancy." Then she starts listing off her complications: gestational diabetes, terrible back pain, high blood pressure, and spending her last month stuck in a hospital bed.
No thanks, I'll pass. I've had more than enough drama dealing with my thyroid and my weight. 😠

It truly grates on my nerves when there is absolutely nothing of consequence happening, just every third day. I am sitting here hooked up to this CTG monitor, counting every tiny, insignificant little movement, feeling as sluggish as a pack mule, while my legs feel heavy and clumsy, almost like those oversized, lumbering limbs you see on an elephant from some Small town in the US Midwest... honestly, it feels more like being trapped in some sort of chaotic animal kingdom than a hospital room...🤣🤣

So, I seriously had ANOTHER lecture yesterday about how I should be carrying my belly—high or low, apparently—delivered by my mother-in-law... ughhhhhhh.... enough is freaking ENOUGH!!!! 🙂

It’s honestly pretty irritating that I can't find a complete list of prices on the Adax website. 🙂
I’ll be scrolling through looking at a really nice sectional sofa... nothing, no price listed. 😠
Then I’ll find a baby carrier, one of those kangaroo styles... again, no price to be found. 😠

Plus, their closest showroom is in Chicago, and I’m all the way out here in rural Iowa. 🙂

..oh my goodness, I just found out I'm pregnant, and suddenly everyone is showering me with advice like I’ve never even heard the word before... I mean, my own mom isn't doing it—thank goodness—but my mother-in-law and sister-in-law? Good grief... it's constant! "Don't do this," "don't do that," "you need to lie down and rest," "don't clean anything" (so you want me to live in a pigsty, I guess?), "eat this," "don't eat that," "make sure you get on Folacin immediately," "take these vitamins"... honestly, everyone just needs to chill out!!! 😠
..I mean, seriously, give me a break! Our moms and grandmas used to work right up until the day they gave birth, and they didn't need all these fancy supplements or constant fussing to turn out perfectly fine... I just don't get it! They read one article or hear one thing on the news and suddenly they think they're absolute experts on everything... 😛😵
..and I can't help but wonder what's going to happen once the baby actually arrives... my mother-in-law is already lecturing my brother-in-law about it, and they don't even live under the same roof! I'm genuinely worried I might lose my mind when she starts camping out right outside my bedroom door once I deliver... oh boy..
