mellowraven93 said:hey guys, I had my nose done a few months ago by a surgeon in NYC and I am beyond happy with the results. I highly recommend 🙂
I’m actually really interested in this whole debate about people not noticing the change—it's totally true for me. They can tell something is different, they just can't put their finger on what it is. Honestly, I never understood how people wouldn't notice, since my nose was the only thing I could focus on! Plus, when I look at other people, I immediately check out their noses first—call it a "professional hazard" from spending years staring at mine from every single angle. It's not like I was depressed about my looks or anything, and I mostly forgot about my crooked nose anyway, but now I feel so much better and I don't even fear profile shots anymore 😁

Which doctor in NYC operated on you?
Everything’s fine, silvercobra. Honestly—listen to your gynecologist, that’s what matters most. But I have to say something since I didn't mention this before. Look, Diane is an actual treatment. All those other pills aren't "treatments"—because if they were, dermatologists would be prescribing Yasmin, Yaz, or Cileste for hirsutism and alopecia. Sure, those other pills can help, BUT they are primarily contraception first and everything else second 😉—that's a huge distinction. In my opinion, when you're dealing with hyperandrogenism or severe PCOS involving hair growth and hair loss, you absolutely need things like Diane or Beluna because they are the strongest anti-androgens out there.

Let me know how you're doing if you decide to stop taking them 😉
Karen Nguyen4 said:As for me, my doctor has me on a year-long course of therapy. We’ll just have to see how things play out from there, since they don't really recommend staying on this particular medication for too long.

What do you mean they aren't recommended for long-term use? Did your doctor actually tell you that?? Because some girls on this PCOS thread were saying they took Diane for years—I think urbantinker8 even mentioned ten years! And that was strictly for managing ovarian cysts and all that related stuff.
You take them for as long as your doctor tells you to—basically, as long as your body can handle it without issues. Once you start seeing problems with blood clotting or elevated liver enzymes, that's it—you stop immediately.
Ashley Gomez, rustygardener172 thanks for the heads up. Honestly—I have no clue why I thought I should just quit hormonal birth control before 🤷
Man, those noses look great on you guys 🙂 Quick question—do I need to stop taking stuff like hormones (Diane and such) before the surgery?
Hey Linda Wilson82, I’d love to see a photo too—if it isn't total garbage 🙂. Honestly, seeing how happy some people seem here makes me want to jump straight under the knife myself 🙂. Also, I wanted to mention that all those photos my girlfriends sent me—you know, showing off their noses—turned out amazing. I mean, if they didn't look good, they probably wouldn't be sending them 😁, right? But everything I've seen looks more than good enough. It actually gives me some hope, because let’s face it—I am a massive coward!
I’m actually a fan of how Tony handled the 🙂. He leveled it perfectly—not too high, not too low, just right.
Please fix Carol Diaz31 and White Window—send mine over too if it’s not too much trouble 🙂. I haven't pulled the trigger on surgery yet—I'm hitting up an ENT at the hospital first to see what they say about my breathing issues and my nose drooping more and more 😁 then I'll figure out my next move.
rustygardener172 said:Kate Taylor59, how can you even be sure the senior surgeon is the one operating on you instead of the junior? Just because they told you so?! What do you actually know about who’s cutting you open once you’re under anesthesia? I mean, his son probably needs someone to practice on too... right? 😍

I honestly love Glusac's "I'm the best" attitude—it's why I actually call the office myself, call his cell directly, handle my own emails, and get him to operate... 😂

That's what scares me too—there are two of them and you never know which one will show up, and it looks like the younger one lacks experience.

And everything you guys have said about Glusac sounds purely positive to me. Most doctors—not just plastic surgeons—are massive egotists who won't give you even two minutes of their time. But this guy picking you up in an auto, putting you up in a hotel, spending hours talking through everything during consultations, and giving detailed email replies? It sounds unreal. Honestly, I'd go just for that alone, even if some of the noses on his site aren't quite my style.

Sorry if I overstepped—but was steelangler88 the one you had your first procedure with, and feralwolf47, was it you? Your nose looks great.
And why aren't they touching the tip? The tip of my nose is rounded—if they just lift it (which I actually need since it's drooping), I feel like I'll end up with that tiny, bulbous look like what Žanamari has, and honestly? Not a fan. :/

Kate Lee43 said:The only one who pulled off short blonde hair afterward was Curi—everything else looks mediocre. It’s not like they made them prettier or anything; I don't see any actual improvement.
Total waste of cash, surgery, and pain... unless it helps them breathe better, then fine. Aesthetics? 2/10!!

Are you kidding me? Most of the changes are super obvious. For some, it was just about smoothing out a bump, but the difference between the old and new noses is night and day. I don't know how I didn't notice the photos before—I actually really love the results.
When people talk about rhinoplasty and upturned noses, everyone’s terrified of getting that "piggy" look. But honestly? That’s rarely the actual issue. Sometimes the problem is a nose that’s been shortened way too much—leaving you with zero bridge structure left.

Which one do you guys prefer? Personally, I’m leaning toward a flatter profile over those super short ones. Then again, it all comes down to facial balance, right? In my opinion, Kidman would actually pull off a slightly longer, more sculpted nose better than this.
Personally, I think this is a perfect example of a beautifully crafted nose. Though, looking at her, it doesn't look like a lift—more like they just shaved down the tip, if you ask me.

Is this what people mean by a "flat" nose? She had surgery because hers was way too wide to begin with

I’m digging this one too. I'm guessing it's also aiming for that flat profile

One tiny gripe—those noses look a bit *too* overdone to me, kind of like Julia's—but I actually love the vibe. You know, not those super prominent bridges, just a smooth, well-shaped nose that sits lower.
loneridge3 said:@Megan Moore76/">@@Megan Moore76, your inbox is absolutely blowing up. 😉

Oops, think it's fixed now 🙂

Anyway, where are we supposed to see Dr. Smith's work if he doesn't even have a website?🤷 I'm dying to see his technique—what's his actual style when it comes to nose jobs?
Look, there are unhappy people everywhere—even with the doctor you’re planning to see 😉 That’s just how it works—everyone has their own opinion, and doctors are only human after all 😉

But honestly? When there’s a massive wave of dissatisfied patients, I’d start paying attention and asking myself some hard questions... I've been following this thread since page one, and if I were in your shoes, I definitely wouldn't go to the first guy because of all the complaints—though I wouldn't go to the second one either, just because I'm not a fan of his nose. Personally, I'd give any other doctor a shot at a consultation.

My advice? Read this entire thread from the very beginning. Don't take everything you read as gospel, obviously, but don't ignore the patterns people are pointing out either.
casualgardener21 said:Did these issues start popping up after your surgery or what??

Nah, not really—I've never actually been on a Forum🙂 But I'm soaking up all the useful info here, so hopefully it helps me decide once I finally go under the knife😁
@Linda Bailey54/">@@Linda Bailey54, @stormydrifter11/">@@stormydrifter11, thanks 🙂

Look, it’s fine—the exam wasn't painful, which is really all that matters 😁 As for the breathing thing? Yeah, I’ve also got at least one nostril constantly blocked. It's not a huge deal when I'm just chilling at home—studying or watching TV—but the second I step outside to run or go for a walk, I'm stuck breathing through my mouth. It’s like my nose just can't pull in enough air. :/

Honestly, I think I'd be better off just telling this whole story to an ENT specialist 😁
jadedriver0 gave a pretty detailed breakdown of the surgery with Glumicic—the place, the stay, all of it. Just scroll through the thread.

Is anyone actually going to answer me? 😢
Megan Moore76 said:Also, I want to ask everyone who’s dealt with a deviated septum—how did you get diagnosed? Does an ENT just do a quick check? What tools do they use?
As I get older, my nose feels like it's drooping more and more—like there's a crack right down the middle making everything sag. And breathing? I can't breathe through my nose at all😢, it's strictly mouth-breathing for me now. I need to get checked out ASAP.
I don't post here all that often—but I definitely remember that "situation" you had with Nancy Perez74. Please tell me you aren't actually planning to go back to him for a revision?😕

Also, I wanted to check in with anyone who’s dealt with a deviated septum... how did you guys actually get diagnosed? Does an ENT just take a quick look? What tools do they even use?
As I get older, it feels like my nose is literally drooping—like there's a crack right down the middle making everything sag—and I can't breathe. Well, I can't breathe through my nose at all😢, I'm strictly mouth-breathing at this point. I need to get to a specialist ASAP.
Rachel Rivera19 said:And here’s a video of this girl who—in my opinion—has a gorgeous, perfectly natural nose... though I know some people might disagree.😁

Man, oh man—look at that nose! 😍 It’s spot on. Not too narrow, not drooping, and thank God it isn't overly upturned—it’s just right👍. You literally couldn't ask for more. And seeing what a disaster her nose used to be? Definitely giving props to the surgeon🙏

Let's all head to see Dr Philippe Chout in New York City😂

Btw, that first link you posted? I don't like those noses one bit. Maybe the doctor couldn't have done much better given how many of them look like extreme cases with obvious deviations🤷. They just look weird to me—some are way too upturned, some are too thin, others have those super obvious bridge lines...
Jasmin, I actually love your nose—though on that first photo from day one post-op, it looked way too upturned and small for a guy (probably just because you were tilting your head up while taking it?), but in the second shot, it looks awesome. Just right. It’d be great to see a front view, too. If you can, post a pic!😉

Please don't make me scroll back through everything—I know we talked about how much Žgaljardić charges for a rhinoplasty... Was he the most expensive one? Like, was it around $17k, or am I just hallucinating?😕
