Inkvizitor said:You’re such an excuse-maker, frozentiger6. You remind me of those local sports commentators back home. It’s always "oh, the players are exhausted," or "the field isn't right," or "it started raining..." as if they’re the only ones out there playing, or like the other team isn't dealing with the exact same conditions.
Stop hiding behind those excuses for once...😠
It’s pretty obvious you don't spend much time hanging out on these forums. 😁
It's just pure superstition, Ink. 😉 Nothing more to it.
That’s not how it works. Moses, the prophet and liberator, actually foretold the birth of Jesus—the literal arrival of the Savior that the Jewish people have been waiting for. They're still waiting today, completely unaware they missed the mark two thousand years ago. 😁
Look, guys, hand on heart, I’m not trying to be a total pessimist here. It’s just a fact that no living being could endure what Ballack and the rest of them have been put through. Honestly, they look physically spent. At this rate, they’re going to buckle, and we’ll see a repeat of that disaster in Tunis during the semifinals right here 😉
Just look at the depth of the bench for the Americans and the Spaniards compared to us. Our guys, Ballack and Vori, are out there grinding for 50 minutes or more. The Americans are going to absolutely tear us apart.
Balic might be sitting at third on the league scoring list, but if you look closely, most of those guys ahead of him just padded their stats with penalty kicks. In my book, Balic is the real top scorer here.
Then there's Sola in the net. Sure, his save percentage might not look flashy, but when you look at the raw volume, he’s absolutely crushing it—averaging 13 saves per game.
Everyone else in the league is trailing him by two or more.
Of course, part of the reason he's seeing so much action is because we basically don't have a backup goalie. We're riding with him whether we want to or not.
Look, Ken has a point. If you’re looking at this through the lens of handball, a kickoff after 2 PM is actually the sweet spot. It works perfectly with a player's natural rhythm, especially for our guys who had to play during a similar window today. The routine is easy: wake up around 9 or 10, grab a light brunch by noon, and then slowly gear up for the game. That’s how we approach things in the handball world.
The real issue, though, is physical fatigue. A later slot might actually suit our players better given how tired they are, but if they end up pulling off a win in the semifinals, they’ll have a massive three-hour advantage.
Honestly, there’s nothing worth watching here. It’s been a pretty dull game so far.
I don't think it's airing anywhere else, either. Your best bet is to check the underground this day; maybe someone will have posted a link for you to download it. Maybe.
I can't stand them, but man, do I REALLY hate them. 😁 Everything finally boiled over in Belgrade.
Those losers always find a way to cheat and play dirty.
I'm just hoping we either crush them ourselves or let the French take them down in the finals. Honestly, though, I’m even more hopeful that the Danes will absolutely demolish them this Saturday.
I’m asking the moderators to please wipe out every single attempt by some random guy to start a thread about the semifinals. Let's just Wait for Foyer; hopefully, he'll show up tomorrow. As for everyone else, I’d appreciate it if you didn't start any threads—not even under some ridiculous excuse. 😉
So, you guys probably missed what Vujovica said because the network cut to commercials during that minute break. I actually flipped the channel for a second, and there he was, swearing up a storm: "Goddammit, Spready is gonna hand you five goals; he hasn't given up this many in his entire life!" 😁 😁
Alright, if they can handle the Americans, then we’re coming for the Frenchmen next.
What can I even say about them? Their roster is packed with physical outliers like Baloo and all those other exotic athletes (and just to be clear, I'm not being disrespectful toward Black players here). They play defense pretty solid—sometimes even great—and their offense has plenty of variety. But man, when they aren't having an "on" day, they are straight-up criminal.
They're tough, but still not quite on the level of the Spaniards.
Honestly, Susec gets under my skin more than anyone else. I have no clue what he’s thinking, but the guy seems totally convinced that because those players are from Mexico and Mexico, they shouldn't be able to touch our net.
Every single time they score, he acts all shocked, questioning how they could possibly pull it off—as if their guys are playing some amateur Sunday league game instead of competing for major clubs in Spain and beyond.
And don't even get me started on his grasp of the rulebook. He talks about officiating like he's some expert, but he clearly hasn't got a clue what he's talking about.
