To beat Poland, you have to play a heavy defensive game. They’re a squad that just doesn't know how to handle that kind of pressure—you saw it yesterday against the Frenchmen. They completely fall apart when their backcourt is cut off. It actually reminds me of us back in the day, when everything revolved around our backcourt flow and facing a solid French defense; we played just like these Poles. If you shut down those backcourt players, you've basically won half the battle.

Szmal is looking sharp, but he isn't any better than Mirko, so it should be an even match there.

The real X-factor is Ivano Balic, and they simply don't have anyone like him. Their left back is practically non-existent right now. They have a million different plays when they're allowed to run their offense, but the second a physical defense steps up at the line, they lose their minds. That's where the opportunity lies.
