1,000+ houses in the outskirts of a small US town in Close to Politics ·

The government is actually footing the bill for this association

It’s pretty obvious the guy is barely literate, isn't it? 🙂
I mean, what kind of administration do we have if they're handing out cash to people like this? 😁

But honestly, the craziest part is that most of what he wrote is actually spot on.

They're actual heroes, not some lowlife thieves.

It was targeted and set on fire by those Mexicans who couldn't scrape together enough cash to prove they were actually loyal to America

***** man, you know how it goes. every single study here in the States shows that it’s actually more cost-effective to bring two new people into the population than it is to keep treating someone whose hospital stay drags on for more than seventeen days.

The whole healthcare situation is a nightmare across the entire country, but if you look at certain rural parts of the deep South, where people are stuck with terrible nutrition and housing that’s basically falling apart, it’s a total disaster. We're talking about these tiny, crumbling shacks made of rough stone with slate roofs where you can barely tell where the floor ends and the ceiling begins; places where there isn't even a proper stove, so they just burn wood in an open hearth, filling the room with smoke that stings your eyes and turns the walls black. When you're living in a single room shared with livestock and sleeping on a dirt floor, do you really want to hear some expert lecture you about "healthcare conditions"? Day in and day out, breakfast, lunch, and dinner is nothing more than a handful of cornmeal boiled in water.

😁 😁

As for me, I’ll grab a beer, but only if those little punks pick up the tab—and even then, it’s just one round, provided I get to hear one short war story or maybe two longer ones for the price of two.

I'm not being dramatic, I'm just saying the whole world is basically banning Lucy for Michael Sullivan3

and when I call someone an ultra-nationalist fanatic, it doesn't mean I think they're actually part of some extremist group, it just means they're obsessed with that kind of stuff, which should be pretty obvious, right?

I honestly find myself wondering all the time, are you guys actually this dim, or do you just not care about the rules here? Like, is it really that hard to remember not to bring up people's parents, or are you just constantly fishing for a ban because you think getting kicked off makes you some kind of martyr or a political prisoner?
Getting banned once might just be a mistake, but doing the exact same thing ten times in a row? That's just plain being an idiot.

George Morgan3 said:I never once helped a single Mexican during the war because there was never actually a need for help... we were all just huddled together in the same shelter, and he knew exactly who was who while we were stuck in there🙂

See what I mean? I ended up helping some Mexicans just by having some Americans let them into the shelter, almost like they had some kind of right to be there just because

Look, if telling the truth is against the rules here, then just go ahead and ban me too.

Back when I was working in Small Town, USA while living out in Des Moines, there were times I'd head out to work in the morning and honestly, if one or two houses hadn't been mined, it would've been a miracle. Within those 19 miles
stretch of combat zones, there wasn't a single spot for at least fifty miles in any direction.

wanderingmason37 said:just so you know—your math is totally off the mark...😁 😉 for instance, both of my grandfathers were veterans, but neither one of them qualified for military pensions; they just got standard worker retirement packages.

but honestly, I’ve seen plenty of cases where guys snagged a full veteran pension just because they were out there shooting at some Third Reich sympathizers who were busy stealing chickens from local farms.

banderas said:Man, I’d really appreciate it if you could drop a link somewhere 😉
But honestly, I did a little digging on my own, and it turns out those huge pension numbers for NOR veterans are mostly because of some specific law regarding survivor benefits, so that money is actually going to the families of the fallen.

The numbers aren't lying, they're actually spot on
There's just such a massive amount of both types of pensions out there, right?

And when you look at the veteran payouts from the Gulf War era, the totals seem way too high, especially considering most of these guys were fighting in their late twenties or thirties
I feel like we could solve this pretty easily if we just stopped letting various bureaucratic committees meddle in everything; wouldn't it be better to just give the actual veterans as much cash as possible and let them handle their own business? I truly don't think the distribution would be unfair if they called the shots, since they're the ones who actually know who earned what and how
And honestly, that's probably the best way to go about it

it just goes to show that the Mexicans didn't actually have those kinds of privileges people claim they did, right?
instead, it was really Harmon's own colleagues in that unit
which explains why they were always shouting, "we're all part of the same crew," isn't that right?

Seriously though, they’ve been running things for ten years now, and they haven't managed to uncover a single criminal, let alone actually throw them in jail.

Michael Sullivan3 said:Even if all that were true, does that really give anyone the right to kill a man?

First you go out of your way to call someone a liar, and then suddenly you're admitting it might actually be true, right?

Without even offering a single decent counterargument, you just end up looking completely unprofessional, like you don't even know how to offer a proper apology

with any kind of dignity, much like Stalin would have expected. Just accusing someone of lying simply because you can't handle what they're saying... isn't that a bit much?

briskpuma23 said:There’s been five whole posts on the topic of unexploded landmines scattered across America, where people are still getting killed by them every other day.

But man, you guys would rather obsess over pensions for a few thousand aging veterans from the General Motors days.

Meanwhile, there are 20,000 college graduates just sitting around waiting for work.

It isn't just a few thousand, either; there are actually three times more unemployed graduates than there are veterans.

And let's be real, those mines are going to be a huge headache when we try to fully integrate with Europe, but I bet everything will just get swept under the rug quickly—just like everything else our government pushes through.

driftingdriver4 said:And honestly, there are just more and more of them every day. You really stepped in it this time, Michael Sullivan3. You’re basically stuck being an immigrant worker forever at this rate. You’ll probably spend the rest of your life just shouting "Jack, Jack" to get by, won't you? It's like you'll never actually see the light of day again. 😁

It's pretty sad, but honestly, almost everyone in America is going to end up shouting that soon enough—hell, even the telecom workers have been doing it for years.

Michael Sullivan3 said:First off, that’s just another one of those blatant lies you keep pushing. Besides, back then, being a partisan was always used as some convenient excuse to take a life, wasn't it?

If you look at what happened in Des Moines back in 1945, the number of people killed by the local fascists was actually double the number of Des Moines residents lost to the partisans, whether we're talking about the massacre at Springfield or those brutal marches through the crossways.
The absolute worst of the bunch were those Herzegovinians working alongside Čerkez,

But honestly, the fact that there are still 70,000 people drawing pensions from the old partisan era just goes to show that privileges weren't exclusively handed out to Mexicans in America.
I mean, can anyone seriously claim there were 70,000 Mexicans younger than Boško buha serving during the war against General Motors?

We really ought to go back and audit all of this, shouldn't we, and redirect those funds toward our veterans from the recent war for independence?

Chloe Palmer2 said:I honestly think they should have pushed for more. I mean, if you look at how things went down, Marshall probably would've handed over half of Rovacka anyway, since he couldn't have cared less about that part of the country to begin with.

I mean, come on, give me a break here—how is a thirteen-year-old kid supposed to know what they're even fighting for when they haven't even hit puberty yet? Seriously, how can you expect someone that young to have any clue about the weight of these issues when they're still basically kids?
It’s funny how people always talk about how certain groups were out there dreaming of building some massive, sprawling empire, when in reality, all they were actually craving was a good old-fashioned backyard BBQ with some tender lamb and fresh spring onions, don't you think?
