I completely missed the connection regarding autoimmune diseases.

If I recall correctly, elemental mercury isn't actually toxic—it's the mercury salts that cause the real trouble.

As for formaldehyde, the body can metabolize it, provided you stay within a reasonable dose, obviously.

I don't see any clear link here to autoimmune diseases.

dustycanyon6 said:Found this on Medline: "Increased blood mercury levels in patients with Alzheimer's Disease".

I only skimmed the abstract... It’s clearly a cross-sectional study, so you can't draw any conclusions about causality from it. Even the authors themselves just refer to it as a "correlation."

There is simply no reason for someone to develop a fever from that vaccine. These two things are essentially unrelated events.

dustycanyon6 said:If you're looking to age your brain prematurely, be my guest! For starters—go get those "flu shots" two or three times a year. Haven't you heard that Alzheimer's cases are on the rise? You'll just wreck your brain and your immune system... These "flu vaccines" contain mercury (the most toxic non-radioactive element, even worse than arsenic), formaldehyde (a carcinogen), and a whole host of other "spices." On top of that, they're often ineffective because viruses mutate, so there's no guarantee the strain in the injection will even match what's going around. And even if it does, it doesn't guarantee you won't catch the flu anyway.

If you're actually that terrified of the flu, just change your lifestyle instead: start eating healthy (cut out sugar, minimize grains—if you absolutely need bread, stick to whole grain and keep it minimal, cut back on pasta and rice, skip pasteurized milk, reduce or quit caffeine, and eat plenty of fresh vegetables) and stay active (hit the gym or something similar)—that's all there is to it. If you do happen to catch the flu, just ride it out, drink tea with honey instead of sugar every day, and take some Vitamin C.

This opinion is pretty extreme.

(Off-topic, my bad)

😁 😁 😁

That rumor just keeps circulating forever; it’s practically a classic at this point. It actually happened back in my dorm room once... right up until one night when Dragan walked into the room and announced, "There's zero Brom in the tea, 100%." When the guys asked how he could be so sure, Dragan just replied, "Because I just finished jerking off in the Restroom." That pretty much settled the debate for good and shut everyone up.

Valerie said:That’s not how you do it; the alcohol vapors could actually intoxicate them or make them lethargic.

Hmm... Actually, the specific type of alcohol doesn't even matter. You could even use industrial grade. The concept is simple: as the alcohol evaporates, it cools the surface. Because of that, applying it just to the soles of the feet isn't enough; you really ought to spread it over as much of the body as possible.

Valerie makes a fair point. It isn't just about inhaling the fumes, though—it's also about absorption through the skin. You have to be extremely careful about that when dealing with small children.

And obviously, this isn't something anyone should actually be doing. If necessary, a lukewarm shower is plenty (just make sure the water temperature is lower than their body temperature). Lukewarm, not cold or freezing.
