Mental health vs. college: How do you choose? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Look, you've got your parents backing you up, so at the end of the day—honestly—nobody is forcing your hand here but you.
If you ask me? You’ve gotta put your health first.

Richard Walker38 said:Honestly, it’s just hilarious watching the big shots on this forum pretend they don't have a clue what's going on 🤣

Yeah, that’s honestly the saddest part about all of this—all this talk about "integrity" and then acting like this.

Anyway, having a search function is pretty much a basic requirement—I mean, it's like if they suddenly decided you couldn't send direct messages, or even worse! Without it, this isn't even really a functional forum anymore. It's a shame, too, because this place actually managed to build up a solid community back when it was functioning properly, but now? It doesn't deserve the user count it has. Honestly, the only real move is to just boycott the whole thing.
I honestly don't get how anyone could actually enjoy this, lol. I wouldn't say I'm some die-hard superfan of the franchise or anything—the first two movies were pretty decent enough—but man, this third one? It’s easily the worst of the bunch. They totally lost the plot, and the story just veered off in a completely different direction. Like a few people mentioned, it felt way too watered down and just filled with a ton of nonsense.

Just to be clear, we’re talking colds, sore throats, coughing, even fevers sometimes... like, if a breeze catches me or I have too many cold sodas, my throat starts acting up immediately. Things "normal" people don't even blink at just make me totally sick.

Zachary Diaz48 said:it sounds pretty obvious that your immune system is struggling. I know because it's exactly what happened with my cousin—she wouldn't touch anything green ☕ until her doctor gave her a serious reality check. She started eating salads, cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, you name it, and things improved massively. Now she only gets sick once or twice a year. So, basically, eat your veggies. And hey, just a heads up—you don't get sick from the wind or the cold, it's the viruses that get ya :P good luck! 😉

velvetmoose9 said:Have you checked your CBC/Differential or CRP levels?

Did anyone actually suggest that?
If not, go ahead and ask for those tests—at least start there.

coastaltiger7 said:I’m dealing with the exact same thing—every month or so I'm down for the count. Every single virus my nieces and nephews bring home from daycare hits me like a freight train. I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I try to eat pretty healthy, but it feels like my immune system just isn't doing its job.
I deal with year-round allergic rhinitis too, so I use nasal sprays every now and then. I wonder if that could be messing with my immunity? My blood work always comes back normal. Unlike the original poster, though, I don't really take antibiotics. I pick up some vitamins here and there, but honestly, I haven't noticed much difference.

Man, I'm in the same boat as the OP, catching every little cold that goes around. The biggest headache is that I can't afford to miss that much work—it starts looking suspicious to the boss.

Unlike the OP, I don't rely on antibiotics much, and I try to eat a super diverse diet. Because of all these issues, I've become almost obsessed with getting enough fruits and veggies—I prefer getting my nutrients naturally rather than through supplements. I'm constantly sipping different teas, taking propolis occasionally, and so on and so forth.
My blood work came back absolutely perfect—I didn't even bother following up with my doctor for any extra testing since everything looked so good.

I’m just... I don't know, I'm just totally wiped out by everything right now.
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
I honestly have no clue how those pills even work for you guys—seriously, I’ve been dealing with these brutal periods for like 15 years now. I feel like I’ve tried everything under the sun... most of the time it was Neofen, but lately, I’ve been switching over to Nalgesin. But honestly? It hasn't done squat. At best, maybe it takes the edge off by like 10%, which is basically nothing at this point. Man, I would give anything if they actually worked for once!

Yeah, I’m definitely curious about this too.

So, here’s the deal—when I'm looking for a specific user on the forum, the site actually throws out these suggestions for me. I just pick one of those existing handles and hit search, right?
But then, the forum hits me with this—sorry, no matches found.🙂
It’s happened to me a few times now, and I know for a fact these are legit, active usernames... so can someone help me wrap my head around why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Thanks!

Which Toshiba Satellite model are we talking about?

Sorry for the late reply—my internet was totally out,
so I'm just getting to this now. It's a Toshiba Satellite C660D-12U.

Basically, half my keyboard is dead—just straight up unresponsive.

I actually tried remapping some keys to f12 just to see if that would help, but nope—no luck there either.

Tried everything and honestly? Nothing works. They aren't blue—my laptop screen is totally fine, colors look consistent everywhere else. I’ve seriously tried every single fix under the sun... the only thing left to try is chucking this thing out a tenth-story window.

I've already given f1 and f2 a shot—haven't pulled the trigger on deleting anything just yet—but thanks for the tip, I'll let you know how it goes!

I even tried messing with the boot priority through Microsoft, but nope—absolutely nothing!! It just completely ignored my changes!!

So, I’m totally stuck—I can't get into the boot menu on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. It used to be a bit of a struggle before, but I could always make it work somehow... now? Absolutely nothing. I’ve been hammering away at > like a maniac, but no dice.
What should I try next?🙂
Dealing with lactose intolerance? in Health ·
Honestly, the older I get, the more my body just straight-up rejects dairy—it’s like I’ve finally realized that my lactase levels have been steadily tanking right along with my age.
Now, milk, yogurt, and fresh cheeses are basically off-limits for me. I can still manage some hard cheeses here and there in small amounts, but that’s about it. It’s not like I feel like I’m missing out on some life-changing culinary experience or anything, though I do miss how convenient dairy used to be... and man, it really sucks when you just want some ice cream and your digestion decides to stage a protest.

Ugh, I’m seriously just white-knuckling it through this right now—it finally started to settle down a tiny bit, but man, the pain is still unreal. It’s honestly terrifying... and don't even get me started on the Neofen, because it did absolutely zero for me!! Like, my stomach is doing backflips and nothing is touching it—it feels like I just drank a bunch of water or something, which is totally not normal, right? And to make matters worse, I have this huge, important thing tomorrow where I actually need to feel like a functioning human being, and then there's this...

Honestly, in moments like this, I really, really regret being a woman.

Honestly, I don't really care what analogwalker8 thinks—what I said stands, and I think you missed my point. If the brain isn't having fun, it just means it's not occupied enough.

Alex Barnes93 said:It’s just like analogwalker8 says—it’s all about perception. Seriously, try waking up at 6:00 AM, grab a coffee, sit by the window, and just... don't do anything. Just stare outside. I did this once last summer when I was staying near Seattle, and man, by the time noon rolls around, it feels like six years have passed instead of just a few hours. 🙂

Exactly this. Time just flies faster when our brains are totally slammed, and the slower we go, the more it stretches out.
I feel like this topic actually belongs in the beauty and hair subforum, but whatever,
so here’s the deal—I’m 26 and I’ve already started seeing some pretty noticeable gray hairs popping up over the last few years. Honestly, what do I even do? Since I'm still so young, it feels kind of silly to just let them sit there, and I probably should just dye them, right? But then again—ugh—the thought of spending the rest of my life dumping harsh, aggressive chemicals on my head is just... no thanks. Plus, those dyes absolutely wreck your hair quality, and mine is already struggling. What would you guys do if you were in my shoes? Also, would it be a dealbreaker for a partner, like, would it bother you?
