Why can't I see certain users' posts or threads?

Greetings, I was wondering if anyone could explain why I am suddenly unable to view posts or threads from certain users?
It wasn't an issue for me previously, yet now I find myself blocked from seeing them.

Seriously though, why isn't there even a basic option to just look back at your own posts? 😵

I just get this message:

Because for some reason, the search function is totally broken on this forum.

So, I just saw someone mention back on February 23rd that this whole thing is supposed to be temporary.

I mean, seriously, let's just hope it isn't like seeing a "Closed for Renovations" sign taped to a storefront window, right? Because we all know how that goes!

If that's the case, what is even the point of the forum? I can't even see my own old posts anymore! I rely on those to track where I was and when I posted certain things—it's my digital paper trail!

Honestly, they should just make everything searchable on Google like regular threads, wouldn't that be easier?

Hopefully, this whole thing gets scrapped sooner rather than later. 🙂

At first I was just thinking maybe I couldn't see other people's posts, but now I'm realizing I can't even use the search bar or access my own threads...

Honestly, disabling that feature was such a brainless move. It actually made it possible to get a real sense of who you're talking to when things get serious.

I once had a user reach out to me through the Democratic Party forums asking for a loan.
Before I even gave her a reply, I did a quick deep dive into her post history. Turns out about 80% of her activity was just talking about her experiences with those tarot hotline services, which is where she spends most of her money.
That little bit of research really helped me make my call. 😁

Look, I don't care about policing my own posts, but for everyone else's sake—bring that feature back!

I can't even see other people's threads or posts right now—and to make matters worse, I can't even find my own stuff, which makes navigating this entire forum an absolute nightmare.

The error message looks like this:

Count me in too. I posted my complaint over on the Help Desk, but absolutely nobody has lifted a finger to respond.

The thing is, we can't really give you a straight answer because there isn't one yet, just like it was mentioned before. Nothing has changed regarding the info we have; all we know is that this situation is temporary. I honestly think it’s high time you guys wrapped up this whole tragicomedy.

Think about it. When your TV freezes up, what do you do? You just unplug it from the wall, wait a few minutes, and boom—it's working again, right? Simple.

Why can't we do the same thing here? Just put out a notice saying the forum will be down for two or three hours while you fix the bugs, and then actually solve the problems.
