Arthur Martinez7 said:then again, you could look at it this way: winning world medals has become such a baseline expectation for us that it doesn't even register as a major event worthy of halting the schedule 🤣 🤣
Thomas Cruz15 said:CNN's feed is up to date, though I guess the online monitors are just waiting for the medals to be handed out to make sure this whole thing wasn't some massive April Fools' prank: 😕

Here’s my breakdown of the game:
It was an incredible match defined by rock-solid defense on both sides, though you could already see the Canadian side starting to fall apart in the fourth quarter.
Once Vican shut down that counter-attack, they just completely evaporated. I honestly don't get how they lost that old winning edge; they ended up losing this one the exact same way they used to lose games against the Mexicans.
In all honesty, this should have been wrapped up in regulation, but luck was on the Canadians' side, dragging them into overtime.
Once we hit overtime, we had them totally under control.
The most encouraging part is seeing guys in that 19-to-22 age bracket pull off a comeback from 5-7 to 9-8.
Major props to Markovic (who was easily the player of the match) and Jokovic.
Also, huge credit to Buric, who absolutely dominated the center in defense.
We really ought to throw a proper welcome home celebration for the kid in San Francisco at a local spot. I'm hoping the city actually steps up and does something.

I've got nothing but contempt for Stipe Sutlić.

vividheron2 said:What I'm trying to say, my dear Patrick... well, unfortunately, I don't think you can grasp it. Anyway... goodbye.
vividheron2 said:I think I get it now... That bloody Communist system, which is directly or indirectly responsible for the suffering and deaths of 50 million people—not to mention leaving hundreds of millions more mentally stunted and stuck with a permanent inferiority complex—is somehow morally equivalent to the system in America. You know, the country that saved the World from Nazism and Communism, but is now working toward some kind of equalization with Islamo-fascism...
vividheron2 said:Come on, give us an actual example then...

The exact numbers don't even have to be perfect; the big picture has been obvious for a long time now. I guess some people just need it spelled out for them, but what can you really do?
