restlesstrucker15 said:Dear forum members, it has been quite some time since my last update. For the most part, I am doing alright; my Elice is performing its function, yet I find myself still struggling with persistent insomnia and a growing dependency on hypnotics. Has anyone here utilized Clonazepam for sleep issues, and if so, what dosage did you find effective? My doctor suggested introducing it because of my current reliance on Valium and Dormicum—since Cerson hasn't provided any relief—as a way to facilitate a break from standard hypnotics. She isn't a proponent of using antipsychotics to treat insomnia, and I've found that classic benzodiazepines, such as 20 mg of Valium, merely relax me without actually inducing sleep. I am hopeful that these tablets might offer some assistance, at least by allowing me to step away from the usual hypnotics for a while.😉

Clonazepam is an anticonvulsant used for mood stabilization and provides anxiolytic effects...
"Active ingredient: clonazepam

Brand name registered in the US: Clonazepam

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Anticonvulsant "

pegula said:I burned through half my dose of Faverin yesterday, and man, I woke up this morning with the shakes. It was a struggle just to get out of bed and find my footing... 😢

You really ought to ease into it—maybe start with just 1/4 a tablet for three or four days, then move up to a half for a few more days before you finally hit your full dose...

Harold Anderson3 said:So, I’ve been on 75 mg of this medication, but I ended up stopping because I couldn't find it at any local pharmacy for about a week, and by then my prescription had already expired. It turns out I haven't actually taken it for three weeks now, and honestly, I don't feel much of a difference; my mood seems pretty much the same as it was before. I'm feeling a bit conflicted about whether I should just jump back on it or if I really ought to check in with my doctor first. She isn't exactly thrilled when I start tweaking my own treatment plan, so I have a feeling she won't be too happy hearing that I've been off it for three weeks. Does anyone have some advice? I am still being very consistent with the other two medications I take, Zyprexa and Risperdal.

Man, Harold Anderson3, you know better than anyone that you can't just quit a med like that on your own. You're gonna have to level with your shrink and tell her exactly how you've been feeling without it... she might be pissed, but trust me, they've seen it all when it comes to patient behavior, so...http://yoursmiles.org/msmile/pozitive/m1212.gif

I am CONVINCED that doctors—and I mean ALL of them, not just psychiatrists—have these little side deals with Big Pharma... my own physician swapped out a whole bunch of my medications at once, not just one or two little things. There's this rumor that private practitioners don't get these kickbacks, whereas the ones working at public hospitals do, though I can't say if that’s 100% factual.
you're talking about those tiny five-minute check-ins, which isn't actually psychotherapy. Honestly, you sound like a reformed addict trying to preach the gospel to the rest of us now...

but hey—the grass belongs to me, and I’ll burn it how I please...

Just kidding. Mostly. 🙂

You're too much with our Elon—he actually has a knack for putting rhymes together... here's another favorite of mine...

I'm really sorry you had such a rough experience—but tell me, did you ever actually try psychotherapy? Medications are vital when they're needed; they aren't just some placebo... honestly, without my meds, I wouldn't even be able to roll out of bed in the morning... so, let's avoid those broad generalizations, shall we?🙄

And please, take a second to look at what you actually wrote:"Now I'm still fighting with my mental state. But the physical crises are almost entirely gone."🙄

Larry Lewis said:I used to be absolutely reckless—just drowning everything in whatever was within reach, whether it was booze or weed... honestly, looking back, I’m just incredibly lucky I didn't end up in a ditch or worse, but I've finally come to my senses. It was all just a desperate attempt to escape reality, I suppose.

Well, there you go! caveman😍

Kenneth Scott41 said:Yeah, I suppose you're right about that. It’s just that on those particularly rough days, I occasionally find myself saying or doing things so incredibly foolish that I have to stop and wonder, "Wait, was that actually me? Did I really just say that?"

I seem to recall you mentioning that you've been on antidepressants for quite a while now, and I was wondering if that's something people just stay on for the rest of their lives? I ask because I've found an Effexor dose that works for me, but I get this nagging feeling that if I were to miss my pills for even two days, I might just completely fall apart...

If that's your diagnosis, then yeah, you take them. Personally, I have to stay on medication for life due to hereditary depression—but that doesn't mean I'm stuck on the exact same pill forever. I've switched medications quite a few times since I've had depressive relapses where I either need to bump up the dosage or just switch the whole therapy plan entirely...

Kenneth Scott41 said:I think I've finally found my 🙂 and honestly, I’m feeling pretty good about it. I guess there's no more need for all this endless trial and error.

See? It just goes to show that even the worst days eventually pass...

Carl Bennett10 said:This isn't even folk or ethnic music—who actually said that? From what I've heard and seen, the band has never even claimed to be that kind of group... In a few years, you're going to feel pretty silly for dragging them like this. 😉

Nah, it's just a metal track...😂🤣😂

granitebadger10 said:Nobody was actually comparing Tamara Obrovac to them 😉 but since this is just their first single, they're decent—it's definitely not some catchy pop tune to me, more like something new they're trying to push into the US music scene... I think they can do better, though, and I truly believe they will.😉

Yeah, they're definitely ahead of their time...😂😂😂🤣

granitebadger10 said:Hey, just curious—when you hear the word "ethno," does it actually mean anything to you? 😉

Don't be ridiculous... I was talking about her vocal style from the get-go—you could have just added a heavy techno beat under it and suddenly you’d have a crowd of frat boys going wild.

If you're looking for that authentic folk vibe, just look at someone like Tamara Obrovac—if you know, you know.🙄

This is just awful—it feels like I’m listening to some cheesy country track wrapped in fake metal packaging... jeez... they totally missed the mark. Honestly, with a voice like that, they could easily go international if they sang in English. The music itself is actually killer, though.

wiredmason56 said:So, my doctor wrote me a script for Effexor instead of Wellbutrin, claiming they were basically the same thing, just made by different companies. 😕 I mean, she clearly doesn't get it at all, because Effexor works on serotonin and norepinephrine, while the other one hits norepinephrine and dopamine. They are two completely different beasts; she's totally lost it. 😂 Anyway, I finally took a dose after a long break and now my jaw is twitching a bit, my pupils are dilated, and I feel all restless... kind of like how Kenneth Scott41 felt on Cymbalta. 🤷

Don't mess around here—Effexor is nothing like Wellbutrin!!!

Wellbutrin is bupropion and works on the norepinephrine and dopamine neurotransmitters...

Effexor is http://medicine-info.com/venlafaxine.html and acts on the serotonin neurotransmitter...

Chloe Garcia10 said:So, I started taking half of my 10 mg Alice dose this morning.
I’ve already had to run to the bathroom three times with diarrhea, and honestly, the dizziness is hitting me way harder than usual.
I'm assuming these are just the side effects kicking in.
Has anyone else dealt with Alice before?

Check the anxiety thread, Magdica—she started on Alice too, currently at a half tablet.

wiredmason56 said:Honestly, the weirdest part for me was that it actually helped me relax during that first night, and I finally got some decent sleep. But then, every single night after that, things just got weirder. Like, the dreams were absolutely nightmare fuel. And that one night when I skipped my dose? Ugh, just awful. 😲 Now I’m honestly sitting here wondering if I should even bother staying on it or not.🙂

You should definitely talk to the doctor who prescribed this—just lay everything out for them and tell them exactly what you've been going through.

urbanskipper4 said:I was only on Tegretol for a week. It made me feel incredibly nauseous and kept making me want to throw up. Gross!

Personally, I handled it just fine—it really goes to show how much everyone reacts differently to these things, doesn't it?

It’s becoming much more common nowadays to combine two different antidepressants. Personally, I take Effexor, which
keeps me alert during the day, paired with Paxil to help me wind down at night... You should definitely ask your doctor if combining two meds might be a better move if you aren't feeling 100% satisfied with just one... they really need to be careful about which specific types can be safely mixed...

Peter Wilson2 said:I'm one of those people who sleeps way too much, and honestly, it feels like I'm sleeping even more now. Up until this point, I thought I could handle just about anything—Lexapro, Paxil, Seroquel, Zyprexa, Anafranil, Xanax, God knows what else, I can't even remember it all—but this stuff? Good grief, not this.

I’m a sleepwalker too, though Effexor actually woke me right up! We barely managed to find anything—Tegretol 200—to help get my sleep schedule back on track... In fact, because I was sleeping so much during the day, they put me on Edronax to keep me alert, while in the evenings I’m still on Faverin plus Prazosin, along with Lorazepam 3 x2...
