So, I went to see a radiologist a few days ago and finally got my results back.
" ... The visualized bone structures show normal shape and mineral density. Early signs of osteoarthritis are visible in the tibiofemoral and patellofemoral joint surfaces, and the joint space in the former appears slightly narrowed on the medial side."
Can anyone make sense of this?

PTH and calcium levels in your blood are used to gauge how those parathyroid glands are doing... they're tucked right behind the thyroid. They pump out this hormone called PTH. My doctor couldn't rule out that those glands might be enlarged based on my neck ultrasound, and if they are, they can start overproducing PTH... which then bumps up the calcium levels in your serum... just one thing leading to another...
Thanks so much for the info. I went ahead and got the PTH and calcium drawn, so now I'm just playing the waiting game for results. In the meantime, I checked my antibodies... anti-Tg looks fine, but the anti-TPO came back high—it's at 238, when it's supposed to be under 9...
Hey everyone, I could really use some insight here
So, I’ve been dealing with infertility issues, and since we were already doing all the testing, it only made sense to check my thyroid too. I was actually hoping for some good news, just to have something positive on the board... 😢.
Anyway, my hormone levels seem fine
TSH is 2.28 (normal range 0.3 - 3.6)
T3 is 1.3 (1.2 - 3.4)
T4 is 109 (58 - 161)
But then I went in for an ultrasound today, and the doctor mentioned thyroiditis and said they spotted some nodules. They couldn't tell if they're just swollen lymph nodes or actual adenomas. On top of that, she wants me to get my PTH and serum calcium checked.
Does anyone know what those two tests are actually for, or why they're necessary?
Anthony Reed69, if you're bleeding right in the middle of your cycle, that could just be ovulation spotting. It's way too early to be looking for a positive test result at this stage... Good luck though.
