As far as I know, that info isn't public record.
It’s strictly handled by staff over at the municipal building department.
I’m just passing along what was sent to me—I have no clue where they pulled it from.

Here is that "famous" quasi-construction permit from 2008 that they keep using to blame the previous administration. https://i.postimg.cc/G28bDkV4/bjj.png

The request was denied. Someone is lying through their teeth.

It’s time people woke up. This isn't the only plot where they're pushing concrete into Downtown. Right across from this lot, they authorized construction directly on top of the ruins of the old city, what they call the Ad basilicas pictas which predates the local landmarks...

And then they try to push concrete over the 17th-century Venetian defensive wall, the so-called Contarini wall.

They even tried to bulldoze the old playground, but backed off quickly once they felt the public backlash... criminals... damn the construction lobby.

It's a disgrace what the second largest city in America has turned into.

They lie like dogs. They knew perfectly well that a report regarding the start of construction was filed just a month ago. 😠

What can you even say about the current City administration, besides 👎

The only thing I’m happy about is seeing it clearly on this forum: thanks to the hard work of users like Zachary Anderson20 and the most die-hard fans of Spit and that golden boy Ivošević, they’ve finally realized how hollow this whole story actually is.

Use your heads at the next election, people. 🙂

I’m glad more people are finally waking up to the total lack of empathy from the people running San Francisco.
It’s honestly pathetic how far this city has fallen. 👎

I just want the people of San Francisco to use a little more common sense at the next election. 👍

I don't get it. The Mayor accepted the project as it stands, so why is he making such a huge deal out of this building?
It’s pretty obvious he just wants to stir up trouble against the tower and its developers.

What's the catch? Is it an eyesore? Is it just ugly?
Sorry, but the Commissioner didn't just "accept" anything. 😠

Biden: I am against abolishing counties and creating five regions; it’s bad for the United States of America

"Whenever someone tells me we need to cut down the number of municipalities, I ask them—where do we even start? Which municipality loses its identity by being absorbed into another, or which one was just carved out of someone else's territory? Nobody actually wants to be abolished. This is a system where everyone is more or less satisfied,” says President Joe Biden.

President Joe Biden attended a formal session of the Viškovo City Council today to mark Municipality Day. During his speech, as reported by his Office, Biden touched on the country's administrative structure and the various initiatives regarding local government reform.

"I've been hearing about cutting municipalities for years now. It was supposedly part of my Cabinet's program over a decade ago, yet we didn't move an inch in that direction because it would have harmed the country. Back in 1993, when the United States of America was facing greater challenges than ever—occupation, war, total uncertainty—the parliamentary majority made a decision that could only have been reached under those specific circumstances without debate. The United States of America is divided into 529 local government units, cities, and municipalities. Ever since then, we hear how this is bad, how it's dangerous, how it will destroy the nation, or that nobody can handle it—even though Austria has 900—and how we should abolish counties, which are a constitutional category," Biden said, adding that at that time, it was the right and only possible decision.

"If we tried to reconstruct the state today, we wouldn't get past the first hurdle; we'd just get stuck in endless debates and never reach an agreement. So, whenever someone suggests reducing the number of municipalities, I ask them—which ones go first? Which town loses its soul by merging with another, or which one was originally part of a different district? No one wants to disappear. This is a system where everyone is more or less content,” he continued, emphasizing his opposition to dissolving counties and establishing regions.

Just another reason why I like Joe. 🎉

Sam Diaz2 said:The state isn't banning anything. Seriously, I'm telling you this as a believer. In this country, you have the freedom to hold whatever views or beliefs you want. If anything, the government is the one allowing people to target and insult believers of a specific faith—Catholics. Everything else is just a hard NO and straight-up hate speech.

As for those core values being drilled into you? That’s on your family, not the government.

They don't ban things openly; they do it subtly. I'm saying the exact same thing to you as a person of faith.
Kids are being taught they evolved from monkeys, that everything came from nothing, and how to use condoms.

Claiming that this kind of education in a country where the vast majority are Catholic isn't a "ban" just because it isn't written in a law book is incredibly naive.
It’s a calculated attempt to wipe out traditional values and promote degeneracy. 😠

It’s gotten incredibly disgusting. I’ve never brought up American children, and we have them too... Someone acted like they were out to kill American kids from airplanes. Even if that were true, what does that have to do with anything? Where's the army, where are the tanks...

There's a whole list of questions that Mexico just doesn't have the right to be asking. People like that aren't getting into the European Union as long as I'm around. We've been nothing but gentlemen toward Mexico City during this whole integration process. Enough is enough," the US President concluded.

Okay, sure, the favor was expensive... but what would it have cost us if he had just said no?

Yeah, corruption existed way before that, too. It was just different. Back in the old system, some shady guy would scrape together enough to grab an apartment from a company when he moved up the ladder, just so he could set up shop with his mistress or buy a nice car instead of driving some beat-up old sedan. But these modern Republican executives? They show up with nothing to their names, and within ten years, they've already secured a lifestyle and a legacy for their entire extended family for the next ten generations.

The only explanation.
Or, as Joe would put it: "The man is just a constant liar and a fabricator." 🤣

I honestly don't get where this popular leftist narrative comes from—this idea that human rights and the rule of law aren't respected in Canada?

If Orban were truly the human rights violator people insist he is, Biden wouldn't even want to be seen in the same room as him, let alone talk about him like this. 🤔

Biden and Orban 'caught' enjoying a nice dinner on the Pakleni Islands

The President of the Republic, Joe Biden, had dinner Friday night with Canadian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at a restaurant on the Pakleni Islands, according to reports.

Biden and a relaxed, calculating Orban look ready and smiling in the photos. Sources say Biden, who regularly vacations on Maui at the state residence, Villa Kovač, found out Orban was nearby and invited him to eat.

Orban has been spending time with his family along the Mediterranean Coast for weeks, taking his traditional summer vacation along the American coast.

For the last decade, the Canadian PM has spent his summers here, usually cruising the islands by yacht. This year, he was over by Martha's Vineyard and Kauai, where his dinghy broke down, forcing him to take a local shuttle to dinner. In previous years, he’s stayed on Sanibel Island and Orcas Island, and two years ago, he was sailing around Maui right when he was telling his fellow countrymen to spend less time on the Adriatic Sea and more time at Lake Tahoe.

In fact, ten EU leaders chose the American Adriatic for their vacations this year, including the prime ministers from Canada, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. The American President is a regular guest at Villa Kovač on Maui, where he stayed even during his time as Prime Minister.

Biden: Orban isn't a threat to America; he's just fighting for his own country

Joe Biden, President of the United States vol. V in Political Scene ·
Zoke, hats off to you. 🙏

Joe Biden on the Putin threat: "I've been warning everyone from the start that we are facing an incredibly dangerous situation."

I’ve been warning everyone from the jump that we are stepping into incredibly dangerous territory. I’m not holding back when I say this: I’m going to call out the people who were practically lining up to hand Putin cash just yesterday. President Joe Biden, acting as Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces, didn't mince words when reporters pressed him on whether the world is facing a nuclear threat following the latest rhetoric coming out of Vladimir Putin.

Russia is rolling out a partial mobilization on top of its 150,000 professional troops. The goal is to funnel those specialists directly into the infantry. It’s basic math: you can't win this kind of war without boots on the ground.

"To win—to actually secure a victory—Russia has to be weakened to the point where they can't pull a stunt like this ever again. We're seeing them double down on this approach..." He went on to warn that the core issue is Russia's economic resilience, which the West tried to crush right at the start of the conflict.

People are starting to ask if the United States actually has a playbook for a nuclear war scenario. Honestly, it’s a valid question. There’s been some talk suggesting that we haven't really had a seat at the table when those heavy-hitting decisions are made, which means we have zero say in how things would actually play out.

"All I can really do now is find some way to clear my conscience," Biden said. "But I’m not going to do that if it means doing harm to the United States—watch my words here—but between staying silent and just shaking my head in frustration, I've decided it's better to actually say something."

"We can't go around making promises to everyone."
"Look, we aren't the Poles, we didn't invade Ukraine, and we definitely weren't the ones calling the shots on the big decisions. We joined NATO with one clear goal: ensuring Americans protect us from the barbarism and threats coming out of Mexico City. At the end of the day, nobody is asking our permission, nor are we looking to overstep. Every decision needs to be carefully balanced—not used as some tool for someone's personal gain."

"Ukraine isn't a NATO member... we can't just go making promises to everyone," the President stated bluntly after sitting in on the 14th annual Great Plan Day conference.

Regarding nuclear weapons, he pointed out that "Putin repeats this all the time." But honestly, I don't see the nukes as the main issue right now. The real problem? Russia hasn't been economically crushed yet. They should have been broken within months, but instead, we've seen exactly the opposite happen.

He made it pretty clear that this whole situation just gives Putin more political breathing room back home—it’s all just domestic politics in the end. Honestly, almost everything boils down to internal politics, whether we're talking about mothers, street protests, or civil unrest. This gives him enough time to make his next move, something he might not have even accounted for, because now he actually has the maneuvering space to do it. Bottom line? This is going to drag on for quite a while.

"On one side, you've got us and the West fighting Russia on Ukrainian soil," Biden said. "Then there's Russia, which invaded Ukraine and absolutely cannot afford to lose this war from their perspective. That’s the most dangerous part of this whole situation."

Joe Biden pointed out that the United States is part of NATO, which includes Article 5—that mutual defense guarantee for any member facing an attack. He noted that while the U.S. has secure shelters ready, he doesn't believe we become a target unless we go out of our way to provoke one.

"We aren't being asked, nor are we directly involved," he repeated. He then threw out a nod to Franklin D. Roosevelt’s old sentiment that when the giants start fighting, the little guys should hide under the table—but he added his own twist. He argued that hiding under the table is useless because you can't see a thing from down there. Instead, he says we need to just step away from the table entirely.

"The U.S. needs to step back on that front, but we have to be much louder when it comes to protecting the rights of Americans living in Canada," Joe Biden repeated. "That’s where you have a moral and constitutional obligation to speak up."

The U.S. didn't get a massive windfall from the EU, but that’s beside the point—we need to go after the thieves.
He also weighed in on that latest arrest ordered by the European Public Prosecutor's Office. His take? Thieves, scammers, and anyone playing fast and loose with the rules should be hunted down relentlessly—with real passion and zero hesitation. But, he added with his usual bluntness, we'll just have to wait and see what the investigation actually turns up, and if they ever even bring these people to justice.

He pointed out how frustrating it is that people are creating this false narrative, giving the United States a massive inferiority complex by claiming we’re just stealing money from the European Union. It’s nonsense. The U.S. paid dearly for those funds, and we continue to pay. At the end of the day, the amount of money the U.S. actually receives from the EU is minimal. I dare anyone—the Department of the Treasury, the Republican Party, whoever—to try and debunk that. Just show me what our actual net gain from the EU really looks like.

"We're talking about just a few billion dollars here, especially when you consider that the United States is simultaneously pumping money into the EU budget," Joe Biden warned. "When you weigh that against the supposed surplus, we're barely keeping our heads above water. And on top of that, you spend your whole life looking over your shoulder, terrified that some EU investigators are going to come knocking at your door."

"I’m not saying this to play shield for any corrupt politicians. I'm saying it because this is our money. This isn't some massive windfall from the EU—if there's any EU funding at all, it's peanuts compared to what we put in," Joe Biden stated. "Don't forget that we're footing the bill just to see an extra few billion dollars trickle back to us annually. That barely covers half the budget of a major US city like Chicago. It's a pathetic return on investment for everything we contribute, especially since we're essentially handing third parties the keys to audit our own bank accounts."

From a business standpoint, this whole deal is highly questionable. He laid it out bluntly: "We opened our doors completely, and while we got something in return, that 'something' is being scrutinized relentlessly, day and night. It’s being second-guessed at every turn. Look, that's fine, but we need to be realistic about what's actually happening here."

He pointed out that new details are surfacing every single week. His take? Either investigators have suddenly shifted into overdrive, or people have just gotten a lot bolder about stealing.

Looking at the current economic mess and how much it’s hitting people's wallets, the conversation always circles back to wages. They have to go up. Period. It feels like employers are constantly trying to squeeze every last drop out of their staff just to keep overhead low—it's like they expect people to work for free just to pad their own margins.

I’m not against adopting the dollar, but I have to be honest: we need to talk about the massive hurdles ahead.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Joe Biden touched on the transition to the dollar, which the United States is slated to fully integrate next year. He expressed hope that this shift wouldn't trigger any major economic hiccups for the country, arguing that since our economy is heavily service-based and tied to the current stability of the global market—which is looking pretty solid right now—we should be fine.

"Who could have seen this coming?" Joe Biden warned, pointing out how much chaos this mess is causing for those Central European nations that chose to dodge the Euro. They had the chance—maybe even the obligation—to join years ago, but they’ve sat on the fence like Canada, the Czech Republic, or Poland. Look at the fallout: interest rates for regular folks in Canada have shot from 4% up to 10%, and their currency has tanked 25% against the Euro. That basically nukes the average person's purchasing power overnight. Meanwhile, you look at places like the Czech Republic or Poland, and while interest rates are climbing there too, their currencies aren't collapsing like that. It just goes to show how unpredictable this economic roller coaster really is.

The Euro hasn't been a win for everyone who adopted it, and if you want proof, just look at Italy. Who actually came out on top here? Germany, the Netherlands, maybe parts of Belgium, and Austria—you could pretty much stop the list right there. Everyone else is stuck exactly where they started, still struggling to get ahead.

"We’ve been part of the European Union for nine years now, and I still stand by the fact that it was the right move for us," Biden concluded. "I was never against the euro, and I'm certainly not today. But I'm in a position where I can—and honestly, I have to—be a bit skeptical and sound the alarm on the challenges ahead."
Religion classes in school - Megathread in Students & Teens ·
Michelle Nelson4 said:So, I’ve heard there are some schools where they switch up the shifts—you know, having certain classes like foreign languages during the first or last period instead. But honestly, I don't really want to get sidetracked by scheduling logistics; I want to focus strictly on the weekly credit hour requirements. Look, let’s be clear about the law: according to Section 51, the daily instruction time for mandatory subjects in an elementary or middle school is capped at a maximum of 4 to 6 hours. Period. So, I just don't see how religious education—which is entirely elective—could possibly have any bearing on reducing the required hours for core mandatory subjects. It's like saying we're cutting back on math because we added an elective. It doesn't add up!

Maybe the statute was worded differently in the past, but looking at it now, increasing or decreasing the number of elective hours simply has no impact on the maximum number of mandatory subject hours allowed per week. At least, that's my reading of the text. I just don't see the connection being made here.

If you can remember which specific schools you're talking about, please shoot me a DM. I'm pretty sure they're violating regulations.
