Angela Wright said:I don't really use the thing that much myself. My old man bought it back when my wife was sick and needed it. For me, I just soak my feet in it every now and then; it feels fine, nothing groundbreaking, but my feet end up feeling silky smooth afterward. And, if you’ll excuse the TMI, I definitely have to hit the restroom right after a session. Someone mentioned you could get that same silky-smooth sensation from those cheap bubble tubs you find at the drugstore, but let me tell you—that's a total lie. I own one of those budget tubs too, and it just doesn't cut it.

Isn't that a bit overkill for a sport just to get some softer feet? I mean, you could always just rub on some lotion... 🙄

I keep hearing people say they feel tingling sensations or like their feet are "breathing," but honestly? Given the price tag, paying that much just to feel some tingles or a weird sensation in my legs seems like a total rip-off. For that kind of cash, you should be expecting a serious, life-changing improvement in your health, not just a little "vibe" that goes away.
If it's nothing more than a fancy sensation, I'd much rather take that money and spend it on a stay at a high-end recovery clinic or hit up some legitimate hot springs that are proven to actually work.

I mean, come on—what more could you possibly want than LEGS THAT BREATHE?!?!?! 😂

Anonymous said:... you guys are right, there are actually two different frenulums—one under the tongue and one on the male anatomy.
I ended up having the procedure done on the lower one.
If you want to get an idea of what that looks like, you can just search for some images online to see the general layout!

Well, I guess that means you won't be sipping much sage tea anytime soon! 😂 Sorry...
But seriously, you should probably use some Bepanthen Plus (either the cream or the ointment, whatever you prefer, just make sure it has dexpanthenol to speed up healing and maybe something to prevent infection). You can pick it up at any local CVS or Walgreens.

Isn't a frenulotomy an operation on the male anatomy?🤷 I'm certainly no doctor and don't know anyone who's had it done, but according to Google, that's what it is.

Actually, a frenulotomy is just removing the frenulum—that little bit of tissue that connects your front teeth to your upper lip or sits under your tongue. That's likely why she needed the procedure before getting her braces on.
Are there any other types of frenulums out there?... 🤷
Isn't the thing you're talking about actually called the prepuce?

When my daughter had her frenulotomy done at the dentist's office, they told us to have her rinse with some strong sage tea. She kept up with the rinses right up until they removed the sutures. There wasn't any scarring at all, and everything healed up perfectly fine.
Minor sister and her gynecologist in Health ·
I think you need that doctor's referral by the time you turn 16—since that's usually when you can start seeing a gynecologist as your primary care provider—but I'm not 100% certain.
Since you're living in NYC, why don't you try scheduling an appointment at Mount Sinai? They have specialized pediatric and adolescent gynecology departments, so it might be worth having her visit them there... honestly, it could be a much better move for several reasons, especially since you mentioned she's currently out in a small rural town.🙂
