And were they actually looking him in the eye when they said it, or was it more like... looking down at him? 😁
Look, I tried playing that whole romantic teasing game once, just to see if it would spark something, but it totally backfired. 😂 Instead of running off to cry in a corner, he just stayed right there with his crew, completely unfazed... so honestly, whatever, I don't really care what people think about it. 🙂 It’s just such a cheap move. 😁 👍
Stability isn't really about how old you are... it's more about who you are as a person and what's actually going on inside your own head. When you find yourself snapping at everyone over the smallest, most trivial things, maybe it’s worth taking a second to look at the real reasons why you're feeling so frustrated in the first place. 😁
hollowviper72, just keep doing things your way then... 😁 At least you aren't out there pretending to be someone you're not (unlike a lot of the 😁 crowd), and if people don't vibe with that—well, that's hardly your concern. 😉
Besides, you aren't nearly as soft as people make you out to be. 😂
Hmm. According to The Washington Post’s definition, a stamer is basically anyone who lives out their own "personal philosophy." No matter how questionable that philosophy might be, I guess... For instance, hollowviper72 could totally be labeled a stamer, since his whole vibe is just being a total flake and he really leans into that lifestyle. 😁 (Sorry, hollowviper72, I was literally just laughing at a different thread, I couldn't help myself. 😁)
At the end of the day, it really comes down to how much we actually walk the walk versus how much we just talk big while our actions completely contradict what we say we believe.

Etna said:...most people in Mexico don't feel that way.😲 ..you're either being naive and gullible or you're lying through your teeth... there isn't a middle ground.
Honestly, I have no idea what Mexicans are actually thinking. Based on a few posts here, I didn't even get the impression that most people writing were saying we should have attacked.🙂 I'm just commenting on what I've read, nothing more.
And regarding Laso:
It doesn't matter what they wrote or whether it’s factually right or wrong. It also doesn't matter what anyone's opinion is on this forum. Everyone's entitled to their own view. My point was strictly about the fact that (at least at first glance) they seem perfectly capable of staying calm even when someone else says the exact opposite of what they believe. And there are plenty of posts that say the opposite.
That’s really all my question about "how" was getting at.
Around here, you can't even mention if you're siding with Americans or Mexicans without the other side coming after you and tearing you apart within five minutes.
Jason Bailey45 said:hmmm, did you miss that post about using napalm?
Nope.
Did you see how people reacted to it, though? Total silence... even from the folks on the other side of the argument.
Look, saying stuff like that is obviously garbage. But even if it was just someone trolling rather than a genuine thought—well, even if they actually meant it, so what? Most people aren't going to agree, and if some idiot is out there shouting it, an argument is just going to dig their heels in deeper... it definitely won't change their mind.
I was just skimming through a few threads on The New York Times...
No fighting, no insults... just people sharing different perspectives. It’s actually kind of nice to see... One guy is claiming that we should have just let Americans walk away from the USSR if they wanted to, and that nobody should be hurling insults at his mother for it...
Seriously? Now I'm even more confused because I don't own the soundtrack—never have, actually—but I’ve always just mentally linked that song to the movie... Maybe it was actually in the film originally, but they just cut it for the DVD release? For the longest time, I honestly thought Diane Lane was the one singing it (I didn't bother reading the end credits at the theater 😁), but then I found out later that it was actually Bonnie...
The movie is charming enough, I guess, but looking back at it realistically—it’s really nothing special. Honestly, I have no idea why I used to go see it in theaters like five times back in the day...
And I still can't figure out why I spent all these years convinced that "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler was actually from this movie... 🤔
Alexander Watson said:So, when does a child actually become a child?
Since I’m feeling generous today, I’ll let him become a child once he "comes to life."😁 I have this nagging feeling I read somewhere that even Adam "came to life" only after God breathed his soul into him... 😁
The idea of a child seems fine to me. I could just be a cynic and argue they don't count until they're born and capable of living on their own, but still... 😁
I honestly didn't even suspect you’d show up with everything in hand...
Just give them whatever crazy idea pops into your head... make it the absolute biggest headache they've ever had to deal with. 😁
Legally speaking, Barba is basically a minor, which means you're the one in charge here. So, what's his "interest" in all this? And whose interest is it really to be footing HIS medical bills? 👎
Kenneth Hernandez67, look, you're his guardian... at least temporarily if everything hasn't been finalized yet, and I assume you've got some paperwork to prove it. So, basically, are you officially the authorized person in this situation or what?
Man, damn, Justin Gonzalez87 isn't wrong about that... 😁
