Listen, you need to immerse yourself in every genre imaginable from an early age. You want to reach that point where you hear a track on the radio and instantly know the artist and the title. Go into journalism for the sake of general culture. Read plenty of books, study other critics' reviews, and then start writing. Write for yourself—express what you actually think, not what you feel obligated to say. Don't let the internet trolls get to you; it’s obvious you just need to find one critic whose perspective aligns with yours most of the time and treat them as your benchmark. Everyone's looking for a different voice, after all.
Ladies, stop letting yourselves be treated this way. Take a stand and hold your ground. We always play the role of the "nice girl"—being polite, accommodating, and sweet—only to end up getting the short end of the stick. Just imagine if a man walked into that shop; do you honestly think anyone would even acknowledge his post, let alone wait for him to finish typing? No way. He’d probably walk right up to the counter and demand service, and she’d be all smiles and helpfulness while he did it.
Wouldn't it be better to just send stuff via FedEx? Does anyone else feel like delivery services are actually more reliable when you're dealing with high-value items?
Isn't it strange that she claimed to have no idea? What was the total value of the package? Did you actually fill out the white slip for it? Or did you accidentally use the one meant for shipping insurance?
So, in my opinion, there goes the entire point of paying for shipping. What a joke.
Sure, the delivery itself is $1.75, but I could have just picked it up at the local USPS office for free. Did the sender actually pay for home delivery, or just for it to sit at the station??
Beyond that, why on earth are they driving straight to downtown instead of leaving it in my neighborhood?
I’m wondering the same thing... I can't believe they're charging fees for packages that small. Does anyone have a direct link to their website, or am I stuck having to email the post office again? 😁
Locally, it usually lasts about five days, though international shipments tend to take a bit longer; most of the time, it’s just noted on a slip of paper.
It’s pure chemistry, he wrote on the receipt—$113.90—yet $1.75 just takes whatever they feel like charging. I mean, what kind of commission is that, especially when standard shipping is already included by default $1.75? I’m at a loss. I thought about calling them, but they’re far too polite for their own good, and I simply don't have the time to trek downtown, hunt for parking, and deal with the headache. I hate the mail. I really, truly hate it. Where I used to live, I never had these issues with the postal service; they delivered everything right to my door or left it with a neighbor if I wasn't home. Now, it's all this nonsense involving Branimirov’s sax.
But let’s be real, the person you’re sending money to is almost certainly paying more than $42 right out of the gate. Why? Because the recipient gets hit with a service fee too 😢 no matter how you slice it, they always find a way to collect their cut..
Maybe we should secure them with some extra duct tape... just in case they suddenly decide they need to be "extra" and start overcomplicating things again. 🙂
Of course. The post office charges a commission just for the privilege of carrying money from her to you, and then they bill her for it too. I’m positive everything is laid out clearly on the USPS website...
It looks like they have the exact same thing—there’s an option for a package. You can find them at the shipping counters. Just keep in mind that some post offices don't even handle packages at all.
